Is there any way to keep the site identity and have the menu above the header on this free theme?

Hi,

I am trying to customize my footer on The Adelle theme. I am unsure why I can’t edit it using the Google develop tools, my footer tab disappeared. I just want the foot to be a rectangle (no cutouts) and for it to be all one color. Thank you in advance for you help.

Hi folks,

So I have Adele and used it great for years, but I hadn’t updated my PHP – yeah I know! Today I tried to update Akismet & got this error:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/pipshost/public_html/wp-content/plugins/akismet/class.akismet-admin.php on line 1060

Now I cannot access my Dashboard to add the plugin to check if Adele is compatible with PHP7 – so I just wondered if anyone knew yes or no.

If yes, great I’ll update & breathe. If no, then I’m going to keep to update, and get a new theme without a dashboard – yikes!!

I need to modify my theme to use excerpts rather than full-length posts. I’ve been trying to use the “read more” feature in wordpress but was told it’s a theme issue.

Using the excerpts would definitely help increase my page views so I’d really like to make the modifications.

Does anyone know what I’d need to do? I’m not familiar with coding.

Updated to the latest version of Adelle and now my site is displaying double comments icons. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with Adelle or if it’s caused by a plugin update or something.

I just updated to the latest version of Adelle (was running version 16.XX?) and now there’s a strange, gray “:NU” in my nav bar that is stretching it out and messing it up.

Any idea what I need to do to fix it?

In the post editor, there is section for the category and for tags and my tags section is gone and I have no idea how to get it back. Can any one please help me or guide me to the right spot. I thought I read something that it has to do with softaculous about something being full.

I am trying to disable the related posts that show up at the end of posts. In the reading section under setting you can turn a bunch of options off but you don’t seem to be able to fully disable them. I am having a heck of a time solving this problem. So far I can’t find a solution anywhere.

I am using the Adelle theme for my website https://musingsofaminx.com/. I am using a custom header (the one that’s there is a place holder and distorted and I am working with a designer and waiting on the correct jpg). The issue is that no matter what header I put in, it affects the mobile responsiveness of my theme. The header works just fine on desktop, but the mobile site pushes everything over to the left and the menu bar doesn’t work either.

It’s been this way for 4 years, no matter what custom header I use. Can someone please help me get the mobile site working properly? I would so greatly appreciate the help!!!!!

I’m using the Adelle theme for my blog. I would like to change the width and height of the header so that it extends the length of the black block line before the header. As it is right now, I have to squish the header image down to 700px for the width to use it.

I removed the search bar from the menu navigation, and I want to replace that area with my page links. But instead the links go a line below, making two rows instead of one. How do I just have my page links go straight through in one line?

I downloaded the free version of Adelle theme, and I have the following doubt: the featured image is 300 x 200 pixels on the page that lists the posts, see: [https://prnt.sc/eicbg3]. However, I’d like to set the image at 640 pixels wide and variable height, example: [https://prnt.sc/eicguc]. Is it possible to do this, if so, how I do this?

The <!–more–> symbol appears in my text (as in the paragraph below), but nothing happens. Even when I move the link to its own line.

I just launched my blog on Saturday and I’ve had some people tell me they’ve subscribed but I didn’t receive any type of notification. I’m using the round cube email server and assumed I’d get an email letting me know when someone subscribed, but I didn’t. Do the notifications go somewhere else? How can I find out when someone subscribes? I’d like to send them a follow up email and gift.

I downloaded the Jetpack image widget to create an “About the Author” space on my site (season26.com). However, the only way to add an image is by using an image location. I pasted an image location from a dropbox file, but my image is only visible when I’m on my computer. I cannot see my image when I visit my page from my phone or when others view it from their devices.

Is there another way to add an image to this widget? Or a better widget that would allow me to accomplish the same goal?

Does anyone know how I can change the color of the font in the body and sidebar/widgets from grey to black?

My blog (https://ocadernodereceitas.com.br/) menu used to be aligned to the left, in the same way as the blog title. After I updated the theme Adelle, the menu aligned to the right. Is there a way to solve it?

The includes/style.css file is being loaded on every single page in the admin area. This is affecting things like form field styles across the entire admin area.

Here’s a fix to only load it on the Adelle Getting Started page:

Hi,Im just getting back into blogging, its been about 18 months since I lasted Used wordpress so i am a little foggy!

I downloaded the adelle theme for my wordpress blog which I love and have been playing around with custom header. I created this in Photoshop and saved it as a transparent png file. However it is not transparent and the background appears to have been filled white.

I also have this issue with my text widget on the right panel, whereI have added a a text box and added an image for the about me box.However again although this is a transparent png also it has a filled white background.

Any solutions?

I cannot get the featured images to hide from my posts on my homepage feed. When you visit the individual post the featured image is hiding, but when you go to the site’s homepage the image will not hide.
