I am not able to disable the sidebar, except on the homepage
I can delete all widget elements, but then some kind of default content keeps popping up (Archives and Meta) so for the time being I just put on a search cell. I just want the complete site to have a one column format
]]>Hello,
I think Alizee may be obsolete now, but I was hoping to get an answer as to why I cannot get a full screen width block (100vw) to work behind images or other content – it appears to be cut off by a parent container. I am using the CSS suggested from various tutorials but I cannot see what is overriding this. Many thanks for any help and suggestions?
Hey Roman!
Happy New Year! I hope all has been well with you and your loved ones. Quick question, I’ve been having this issue with uploading a YouTube video in the footer of my website. The thumbnail size gets cut off and I want it to fill the entire space of the video box again.
If you scroll to the bottom of this page: https://thecollegexchange.com/ you will be able to see that in the 2nd footer, the thumbnail of the video doesn’t take up the entire black video box space. Is there a way that I can make it fill up the space as it used to?
Thank you,
Milton
hello,
i have set up a single-page website. The menu works with anchors, animation with page-scroll-to-id plugin.
on mobile view the menu doesn’t collapse after clicking a menu entry. I have looked for solutions and learned that it is a common issue with single-page sites but the function can be added via additional javascript code. That solution though is theme-dependent and my programming skills do not suffice.
Has anyone been successful in implementing that for alizee theme?
(Alternatively, collapsing the mobile menu on clicking outside the navbar would also be sufficient but the first function would be preferable.)
]]>Hey Roman,
On my homepage I have a register button at the top for users who haven’t created an account. However, when users complete their registration process, the register button stays on the page. Is there a way that the register button can go away when a user is logged into their account?
This would be a huge help!
Thank you,
Milton
Hey Roman,
The pictures for the posts on my platform currently don’t take up the entire size of the yellow box they’re in. Are there specific dimensions that the pictures should be so that there aren’t any more thick yellow borders around them? This is how they look currently:
https://thecollegexchange.com/
Also, when you click into a category such as “Course Books” at the top of the page the yellow borders are even thicker. Is there anything I can do to reduce the thickness of the yellow borders? You can see how this looks here:
https://thecollegexchange.com/category/books/
Thank you so much!

Hey Roman,
Currently on my platform I have tabs at the top of the page that serve as my navigation menu. Every tab at the top has a short list of categories in their hovered drop-down with the exception of the “Course Books” tab, which is very long. Is there any way that I could re-position/reorient the drop down menu for “Course Books” so that it’s not a straight line down with only one category per row but rather a drop down that has several categories in each row?
Thank you so much!
Milton
Hey Roman,
Currently on my platform users can edit and delete their posts from the below page/link:
https://thecollegexchange.com/edits/
However, I would love to know if there’s a way that users can edit and delete their posts by pressing a button directly from the post they’ve created or on the post page that pops up when a user clicks on one of their posts like the below page:
https://thecollegexchange.com/2020/05/16/rug/
Please let me know if anything of this nature is possible. Thank you so much!

Hey Roman,
Quick question. Before, on my website, when users would submit a post it would go straight to the home page as a published post. I’ve recently switched the layout so that when a user submits a post, it isn’t published immediately but rather pending my approval. It seemed to work in my test-run as a post I created didn’t immediately go up on the page. However, when I approved the post in the back-end and turned it into a published post, it didn’t pop up on the home screen. Is there a reason why this is the case, and is there just a waiting time from the point of my approval before it goes up on the website?
I tried reverse engineering this problem and turned one of the currently published posts into pending, and that seemed to work, but only after a little while.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Best,
Milton
Hey Roman!
I hope all is well with you. A quick question. Do you know which WordPress Log-in/Registration Plug-in is the most compatible with the Alizee theme? I’d also prefer to use a plug-in that doesn’t allow regular users to access their dashboard if possible. I’m currently using “Theme My Login” for my log-in and registration purposes, but that plug-in appears to glitch from time to time. For instance, when I press the log-in button from the registration page, it leads me to a blank screen. Please see the below pictures to see what I’m talking about:
Registration Page with Log-In button at the bottom:

Page when I press the Log-in button from the Registration Page:

Please let me know what you think!

I have not launched my site yet but would like to add a logo to the Alizee theme. Unfortunately when I add the logo it goes to the upper center of the page. Is it possible to move the logo to the upper left corner of the homepage? https://www.casualadventures.net
]]>Good evening,
I’m using a plug-in called “PWA for WP & AMP.” With this plug-in, I’ve created a progressive web app. One thing I’ve been having an issue with is the splash page. I inserted all of the graphics at their required pixel sizes, but nothing comes up on my phone when I reload the app.
I just wanted to know if this was a result of the theme, or if there was something I could do within the theme to help the splash page pop up when I reload the app on my phone. When I first tap into the app, there’s a white screen (where the splash page should present), then the loader I’ve chosen pops up, then it goes to the platform. I’d prefer it if there was a splash page to fill in the white space in the beginning of the process.
Is there some code or another plug-in I could use to grant me the splash page I’m looking for on the mobile front?

Good evening,
I’m trying to tweak one of my header menu items titled “Search and Filter.” At the moment, I have an emoji lightbulb after the title. I was wondering if there was a sophisticated way where I could add a magnifying glass instead or something of the sort that was styled similarly to the font? I just don’t want it to look too cartoony.

Good evening,
I’m working on my website, and on the frontend, users can see details about a post such as selling price, retail price, etc (as seen in the link I’ve attached to this post). The plug-in I’m using to enable users to create their own posts is “WP User Frontend.” As a custom field, I’ve added a text box for “selling price” where users can enter in the price of their item. I wanted to know if there’s an additional css code or some type of code I can use to automatically have an American dollar sign pop up before the number once a user successfully posts their item.
I’m using the “Search and Filter” plug in, so if users manually insert a dollar sign before the “selling price” in the “WP User Frontend” form, that messes with the “Search and Filter” plug-in’s algorithm and it is no longer able to filter by price. So I wanted users to be able to just put in a numerical value in the “selling price” text box, but have it show up as having a dollar sign in front of it after they’ve posted.
Best,
Milton
Good afternoon,
I need help editing the footer of my website.
In the Footer C section of my website, I have a segment called “# of XChangers.” The number 302 at the moment represents the number of users on the site. Can I change the font type of this number, make it bigger/bold, change the color and center it someway? I just want the number to look more exciting than it does now. I’d love to also maybe add “and counting” after the number if possible. This number will always change based on the Simple Blog Stats plugin I’m using.
Below is a screenshot of the footer I’m talking about. I have also provided the link to my website, which directs to the homepage:

I’ve been working on trying to get a title such as “Click For More Info” that populates automatically on all created posts similar to the “Featured” text box over the posts in the link below:
https://www.ads-software.com/themes/alizee/
Also, the post hover icon on all of the posts is a “link.” Is there a way that I can input my own text to replace the “link” icon?

]]>Hello,
I’m having issues with my post display options. I’m using a WP User Frontend post form to help my users create posts. The way my website is built is similar to a college e-commerce styled platform. So in my post form, I have the description of the post split into different post fields such as category, selling price, retail price, quality, contact info, and more. However, when someone posts their item to the page, the post field responses of the post are all bundled together as one paragraph. What do I have to do to display the details of the post as separated line items (each line item representing a post field) instead of one grouped paragraph.

I have noticed that the theme menu is not responsive.
On full screen i have a menu with my pages, which is all fine, but if minimize the browser to ipad or mobile size, the menu dissapears and instead i have the button on the left for the menu (three lines in a square) but if you click on it nothing happens.
site is https://easygreecetravel.com
And another thing i noticed, that if i minimize the page for a different size and then put it back to the original size, the posts are messed up, they are not on the original columns, they are on the side and not in middle, but it fixes if you refresh the page.
any help with it?
]]>so ive just opened my website with the alizee theme, which i find the most fit for as i imagine my website, altho there is few options i am not interested in,
one of them is a yellow color which appears when you hover the mouse on top of the posts, as well as some ‘link’ icon,
here is a screen shot example of it, i took it from alizee theme demo site:
i wonder if it is possible to remove this little option.
ive you look at the demo bage,
i want to delete the sidebar, both the social on the left and the one with the widgets on the right.
i have read on forums some one said to put the code on additional css
the code:
#secondary {
display: none;
}
but it didnt work, its still there
ive deleted all the widgets from there,
i even tried to delete the sidebar.php file in file manager, it was still there
and besides of that, how can i disable the icon which appears on my post when i hover the mouse over it, or the yellow color, or maybe change the color, is it possible at all?
as well as the yellow “feutred” writing on the buttom left side of the posts. how can i remove it?
]]>Hi,
Do you think it is possible to resize the picture of the header, so it can be displayed like on the PC?
On mobile, the picture is cut.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
the theme is showing the wrong number of columns in the home page: if I select 3 columns layout, the posts are distributed across 2 columns. If I select 4 columns layout, then 3 columns will be shown.
I think the problem is that the width of the posts-loop div is too small. I can also see that the single posts have position:absolute, so trying to modify the width of the posts-loop dive does not help because the posts remain positioned absolutely.
Which one is the file containing the code to position the posts so that I may try to debug it?
Thank you.
This may be related to my categories question I just posted but in case it’s not I thought I should ask this as a new post, hope that’s ok.
I have a security plugin that says it found 8 hours ago that 7 files in the theme were changed, they are:
/widgets/recent-posts.php
/widgets/video-widget.php
/footer.php
/style.css
/inc/template-tags.php
/styles.php
/header.php
could that be a hack or an update?
Any ideas or info is welcome.
Thanks again.
]]>Hi,
Just a day ago my home page started showing the categories name with each featured image and it had not shown before. I just want the featured image, name of post and short part of the post text, no categories name. When I first started using Alizee (which I like and appreciate your having) I may have had to do something to make the categories name not show on posts but I don’t remember how and I don’t know why it’s started showing again, so any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
]]>Hi, I have just started setting up my website, and everything is pretty much ok except the homepage.
Anyway, it is set to show the latest blog posts in three columns, but it happens that the 4th thumbnail (left one in the second row) is out of the balance and in its own position.
Is there some way to fix this?
]]>How do I change the background on the menu of my mobile theme.
My theme colour is dark blue and I’d hate to have to change it.
The mobile theme has a dark grey almost black background so dark blue doesn’t show up.
Is it possible to change the background to a lighter colour?
Or can I change the type there without changing the main theme colour.
Thank you in advance.

]]>Hello,
I have two issues with the Alizee theme but am posting separately under different topics.
There is an issue with the background on my blog and category menu pages. The white border appears as three lines through the top post on each page and then doesn’t surround any of following listed posts.
This is a stark contrast to the other static pages and the posts themselves on my site where the white boders neatly surround the text.
Can you please advise?!
Many thanks,
Esther
]]>Hello,
I have two issues with the Alizee theme but will post separately…
The first is the toggable sidebar on the blog page… it is not working properly on my site. When you hit the cross on the RHS it bizarrely moves my posts left when hiding the sidebar! Is it possible to remove the toggle/cross as an option or disable it so that the sidebar is static like on the category pages?
Thanks,
Esther
