This is the best free theme I have ever encountered; an amazing number of options and it’s not over-designed on the UX.
One issue I cannot solve is how to make the header image fully responsive. While the image does shrink a bit as the screen size shrinks it stops at a certain point and then truncates the image as the screen size gets down to a cell phone size.
I tried the code suggested on the other threads pertaining to the banner but no luck. :contain had no effect and padding: calc(2rem + 7vw) and 8vw, 9vw, etc. shrank the width but truncated vertically as the screen size increased.
How does one make it 100% responsive?
]]>Presently, I have four banners set to Randomize. Is there a way to make them rotate, say every 7-8 seconds?
]]>In the footer it says, “Copyright ? 2022 Your Name Here. All rights reserved.”
Where do I change Your Name Here to the page name?
]]>My banner is a plain colour, two layers in Photoshop, the top layer is thinner than the bottom one and has a drop shadow. The original colour was the same as the menu background, the plan was that it would blend into the menu. The colour is #e2e2d1.
When I uploaded it, it is a greenish grey, and does not blend at all. This is the first time I have come across this. The original image was RGB. Is this problem theme related or my computer related??
]]>Your instructions state:
Click “Add new image” to upload an image file from your computer. Your theme works best with an image with a header size of 1920 × 800 pixels
I created a banner that looked like a plain green, with a drop down shadow that would blend in with the menu.
When I uploaded it, however, it was MAMMOTH in size. What is there now is just the colour of the drop shadow, not the brighter colour above it.
What is the work around for this problem?
]]>I was hoping to remove the page names at the top of the page, but if I remove them, it just says Untitled. Any way to remove that? It leaves such a huge gap between the menu and the content.
I know if you just want the title gone on the home page, this is the code:
.home .entry-title {
display: none;
}
But I would like them gone on all pages. Thank you!!
]]>This website presently has the old Atahualpa Theme, which no longer works well with WordPress. With Atahualpa, you could turn off the side bars on the home page and on any numbered page i.e. 628
I did this so that WP Google Maps would fill the whole page. Am I able to do some version of this with Alurra?
Or failing that, can I make the sidebars very, very narrow on certain pages?
]]>The standard banner is 800 px deep. I would like it to be less–400px or 500 max.
If I make it that narrow will there be a corresponding space between the banner and the menu bar?
p.s. I truly love this theme.
I would like to remove the comments at the bottom of the pages.
Is there specialized css for this or can I do it in customizer? I have looked but cannot see where.
Thank you for your help
