after any theme update the image of the header is missing. I think there is a problem in my childtheme, but I took over the management of the site so I don’t really know why certain php files are in the childtheme folder like header-banner.php. I think I have to change things there. Someone who can have a look with me at this?

after a theme update the customize color we use for the website changes. I don’t have this issue with other themes I use for different websites. Also the banner disappearce because it can not find the file which is located in the include folder.

Is there a way to prevent this? Should I add something in the child theme folder?

We upgraded this Ascent theme and the formatting is messed up on desktop. Would you recommend rolling back Ascent if it is not compatible with the updated WP version? @pitabas106

I have compare both the folder new and old there is option-framework on new version there is template. After updating theme is causing issue.

Can you help me out how to resolve it?

We maintain a website on the Ascent Theme and it went to a white screen of death. We tested the plugins individually but the only thing that would allow the site to come back up is to change out to the twenty twenty-one theme. I noticed that the theme hasn’t been updated. Is it compatible with today’s WordPress standards?

I have a weird issue. The banner & home page slider are not working/showing.

if i click on customize for theme , then it will correctly show slider working & banner in pages but as soon as i close customize , the Home page slider goes away.

I have tried jQuery migrate but it didn’t help.
All plugins are disabled for now.

The banner issue is also there on ascent demo site too but there home page slider is working.

please assist.

On all of the pages except the Home page, several blank lines are display at the top of the page. You have to scroll down to see the content of the page. I’ve checked to make sure the page code does not contain any blank lines.

I update an intranet site, hence no link, to wordpress 5.6 and got the black screen error. Updating the theme resolved this issue but the recent posts on front page are not loading correctly. It used to show full posts with images and text formatting, now i get only simple text. Posts are displayed correctly individually.

I tried disabling all plugins and the issue remains. With other themes like TwentyFourteen or TwentyFithteen the posts are displayed correctly on the frontpage.

I upgraded 2 of my web sites using ASCENT theme to WordPress 5.6, and after that when cliking on any link or menu Item, it shows a black screen. (see exemple page in description) . If I switch to another theme than ASCENT, links are working well.

I have a third site with theme ASCENT but previous version of WordPress, and it keeps working well.

Hello Theme Owner,

I love this great theme. However, it is no longer compatible with Worpdress 5.6. Because the slider and other javascript files are obsolete.

When i install wordpress 5.6, the old jquery js was not working.

Awesome theme and also good performance on a Synology NAS.

Also responsive design works fine bit when I open the site On an iPad It opens desktop view and site is just about 70% of full width…

On iphone all fine but same issue when switching to landscape view.

Is there anything I can do?

we have used this theme more then 50+ projects and we have customized and used Theme options from Parent theme and now in new theme you have removed Theme options so all site will broken after upgrade to latest version.

getting error like this:

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function of_get_option() in /home/custom/public_html/wp-content/themes/custom/header.php on line 20

so if we use ascent_get_options instead of of_get_option(), will old theme options will work ?

I’ve attempted to add a new logo and header image but each time I select the image and click on the save (or save and crop) the media library just goes white and nothing happens.

I’ve tried using different browsers but that doesn’t work.

Does any one have any suggestions?

My theme updated to 3.8.5 today & since then the footer disappeared. Last week when the theme updated, i had the same problem, which was resolved.

I am using Ascent theme version 3.8.3 and this got updated today.
After the update, the social icons on the right hand side of header are displaying as boxes and on the left hand side, the mail icon is now a box too.

I am using latest version of wordpress as well.

Need your help.

I am testing your template for a client in the free version, but I have problems with the main slider. When I upload an image it says the value is invalid. Should I use any upload and size rules or is there anything wrong with the settings I set in the template customization?

I am running version 3.3 of the theme and when I updated to the latest version the site went down. I can’t figure out what the issue is.

I tried turning off each plugin one at a time but that did not get the site back up. I had to revert to a backup.

When I changed to a different theme with all plugins active, the site loaded fine.

Any ideas what the issue could be?
