I had a Fiverr help me with installing Aspen and using a full-page video as the landing page. Now, I need to use a different video, and tried going to Theme > Customize > home page, but cannot see where to link the uploaded media? Thanks in advance for any help.
I’m REALLY trying to wrap my head around Aspen and Elementor. When I see what I actually want in the ‘editor’ on the left, it looks good in Preview. However, on the actual WEBSITE, it is duplicating content where I don’t want it to. I suppose I could go in and edit the HTML, but it’s not in the footer, Unless the footer is in the middle of the page. I’m also seeing [instagram-feed num=’6′ cols=’6′] and I have no idea why. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
Weaver Themes (weaver II and Aspen) are known for their amazing customizability.
Weaver has recently released the New Generation called Weaver Xtreme.
As a result, Weaver II and Aspen are entering end of life.
So if you are starting a new Site, you should probably start it using the new Weaver Xtreme instead of Weaver II or Aspen.
Good News if you are familiar with either of the previous themes, you will be at ease with the new more powerful one.
Read the following to learn about Xtreme and make your decision

The Aspen theme looks great! It works well for my blog. I have three questions.
1) How do I change the blue color of at the top of the page?
2) Can the header images work in a slide show?
3) On my blogs homepage, above each entry’s title the word, “Image” appears. How do I get rid of that?
Thank you!

I have prepare a number of fixed background images for my WP site at https://www.ianwilson-author.com/
I would like my various blog posts to have a degree of transparency on their background boxes, so that the fixed background image can be viewed to an extent.
How do I set the opacity for posts? I’ve been scouring the Internet for hours, reading and trying various things, but with no success (and none of the things I’ve tried were permanent changes). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ian Wilson
I am brand new to this. I just signed up for GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress, created a site roadways.com and used the Aspen theme. My problem is that at the bottom of the blog it says “2 Replies” or “Leave a Reply”. I don’t want that. I want the comment form (without the website prompt) to always appear at the bottom of the blog. When there are recent comments I want them to appear automatically without having to select the tiny word “reply”. Can someone help me figure out how to do this? Thanks.

Hi,
I’m not sure it’s called “status”. It’s the line above the post on the left side. It says Home–>Category–>Post Title. Somehow I got rid of it on the pages but I’m not sure how.
Last week i installed Aspen theme. Looks great, friendly to work with.
But today i got a message i have to update to 1.1.11
do i have to do that? Are there any problems known with an updated version of the theme and wp 3.9?
Hello,
I’ve been looking at modifying the next and previous post information in individual posts (modifying the text).
Currently when I open a post, at the bottom, there is the text name of the previous and next posts with arrows.
Instead of the names of the posts, I would like them to read “Next Post” and “Previous Post”. I’ve looked for this is the Aspen admin options, but haven’t found if it can be modified there. I’ve looked at a number of websites to see how this can be modified, but nothing seems to match when I see in the Aspen files.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Matt
Hello,
For some reason links that have an image do not seem to work. If I create a text link it works fine. Below is the code I’m using to create the links…
<img src="https://hondaclub.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/mc-honda.jpg" style="width:125px; height:125px; border:0px; alt="Honda"
[Moderator Note: Please post code & markup between backticks or use the code button. Your posted code may now have been permanently damaged by the forum’s parser.]
It doesn’t matter if the link in in a widget, on a page, or ina post. It will not open. I get the little round icon that shows it’s working.
Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Matt
hello guys
i’m using Aspen theme in my site:
https://www.meitav-hashemesh.co.il
i’m trying to create a child theme, so i can change some commands in the css file, and other php files.
that’s how i built it:
/*
Theme Name: Aspen Child Theme
Theme URI: https://aspentheme.com
Description: aspen Child Theme
Author: Bruce Wampler
Author URI: https://weavertheme.com
Template: aspen
Version: 1.0.0
*/
@import url(“../aspen/style.css”);
/* =Theme customization starts here
——————————————————- */
the capital letters are exact as they should be
(the same as parent theme).
the weird is that some of the parent theme design, imported to the child theme but not all of it. so the site looks messed up
inside the child theme directory i have except from the style.css file also 404.php, index.php, notes.txt, screenshot.png, that i copied from the child demo theme in the original aspent theme
what is wrong and how can i fix it
thanks in advance
Meitav
Want to upload an image (jpg) – no problem – and use it as a default image. The Aspen theme has five default images that can be shown in a random manner in the header. Want to add to this set of default images.
Thanks – Ken
Hi – I use the Aspen theme for a PTA school website. The header image looks find on PC but in Mac, it replicates it twice, so that there are 2 copies of the image – one of top of the other. I thought it was something I did with my website but when I pulled up the Aspen theme website, it does the same thing.
Is there a fix to this problem?

Much appreciated.
I am using Aspen theme and I’m assuming that there is a home page in the code because I’m showing 2 home pages. Can someone please tell me how I can remove the hard coded home page? I’m guessing you’ll need to see some of the code but I don’t know what so please let me know and I’ll post it here.
