Upgraded Athena to 1.2.3 and WordPress to 5.7.2.

Home page slider broke. perpetual spinning wheel not neither of the two slider images ever shows.

I have read multiple topics on the menu not showing up on the athena pro theme with no answers. I am having difficulty accessing my menu on the mobile app. If you are on a computer, you see it. Can anyone help?

Has anyone had any luck finding a good replacement for Athena(pro), particularly a theme that is easy to transfer the current site over to without to much tinkering?

When this theme works, it’s great! But it doesn’t seem we can count on it working indefinitely.

Recommendations for similar themes would be much appreciated!

Currently, I am using the free version of this theme on a client site; however, I am having to also use the Enable jQuery Migrate helper plugin to continue use. According to www.ads-software.com, this theme has not been updated in over 2 years. We would really like to continue using the theme, but if no updates are coming, we need to know.

Already starting to look at some other themes. If anyone knows something, please let us know. Thank you!

I have the athena theme for my website,(it was recommended in the book I was using & I liked the look) A week ago I did an update and the jumbatron stopped working – just doesn’t come up at all, there’s nothing in the back end that I can see to tell me why it isn’t coming up – but I have no idea how to look at the coding – I’m a total duffer when it comes to anything with computers)
I have now paid for the athena pro to see if I can get help, but nothing is happening there. I can’t find a way to talk to anyone other than opening a ticket & quite frankly it all looks dead. Have I paid money out for nothing? Are Smartcat still working?
I can’t find any way to email Smartcat at all.

I just finished reporting Smartcat Design to WordPress. Maybe I like to tilt at windmills.

However, today I learned both my Athena-themed websites are broken (the slider issue being discussed).

After searching for Smartcat Design customer support I found there are NO methods to actually contact a support person. Further, I searched on LinkedIn and find a company page with no information nor any people listed. I also find nothing on Facebook.

I believe we have all been abandoned by this company. I’m going to start looking for a new theme for my sites. A terrible shame. I really enjoyed the look of Athena for my two photography companies. The sliders allowed me to share a few key photographs and info bits in a creative way.

The carousel in my home page disappear after I installed a plugin humminbird to optimize my web. After I removed it and still the same. Can anyone help me to get it back, Thanks!

I have the Athena Pro theme installed with child theme. Child is active. I tried to install the latest theme update, getting this error: “An error occurred while updating athena-pro-106: Download failed. Unauthorized”

I just made a clone of my site and transferred it in another domain, but all settings are lost. The front page appears from scratch with images and text of the plain original theme.

is there any way to translate the homepage slider (carrousel) to a second language? The site is in spanish and galician. I used Polylang + locotranslate to translate the entire site (originally set up in spanish), and the text on the homepage slider is the only thing I can’t translate.

This theme is not compatible with PHP 7+. Tried to upgrade a site to a staging server and raised the PHP to 7.3 and the site crashed with multiple theme issues.

I have tried several times to see how i can edit the footer.
I dont need all of the social media icons and I would like to put clickable links in the footer.
Can you please advise as to how I can do this!!! This is really frustrating.

i hae 3 languages with polylang, but the frontpage of the site can only be displayed on the default language, how can i change this so each language has the appropriate language?

i have some problem with this theme that i would like to use for my site:

1. featured image does not appear
(here is setting a featured image > https://www.lucapiccinini.it/backstage-di-clizia/ or this https://www.lucapiccinini.it/ravenna/ )

2. various gallery and portfolio plugins do not work
(es. FooGallery plugin, Final Tile Gallery, OTW-Porfolio and some other, nothing image appear. Here a page of a gallery that non appear > https://www.lucapiccinini.it/backstage-di-clizia/

3. Background image of the widget not appear
(when go in personalization of the theme in main page > home page widget > i can change image but the image both default and changed does not appear on the homepage.

There is a strange problem with images and i don’t know how resolve, if possible to have a suggestion o a solution for this because the creation of the site is blocked because of these!!

In the article summary page the text’s summary (of all articles) contains the HTML formatting codes when I insert a video.

How to correct this error?

Trying to enlarge the logo in the header…doesn’t work.
Trying to get rid of the white section between footer and callouts…doesn’t work.

Literally nothing I add to additional CSS works…
