When my screen gets narrow or viewing my page on my mobile, I have 3 horizontal lines on the top left of the page. If I click on it a search field appears.

How can I get rid of this lines and this menu??

Recently, a “Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property EDD_SL_Plugin_Updater::$beta is deprecated in?[root file]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/author-pro/licensing/EDD_SL_Plugin_Updater.php?on line?44” error appeared at the top of my dashboard. It never showed up before, just within the last two weeks (after I updated every plugin, theme, and WP). And now, editing any part of the theme throws a “Looks like something went wrong!” error.

I’m not entirely sure how to fix it.

Although the YouTube link is entered, the logo is not showing up on my site. (There is a dark space on my live site where the logo would be, and if you click the dark space, the link to my YouTube channel works.)

When I used the “Custom icon 1 URL” or “Custom icon 2 URL” area of “Customizing Social Media Icons” to add the BookBub logo & link to my Social Media Icons, it doesn’t work out well. I end up with…

1. A white BookBub logo instead of the sort-of grey ones to match yours
2. When I share my page amylu-riley.com/healing-testimony on Facebook, Facebook continues to grab the BookBub logo to share with that page (I don’t know why, and it’s still doing that, even after I removed the BookBub logo from the “Customizing Social Media Icons” area of my site.

Can you please add the BookBub logo to the main “Customizing Social Media Icons” menu? (I’m an author, and BookBub has over 10 million members, so I think it would be a good link for me to include.)

Is there a way to make the tagline display on the mobile version of my website? Perhaps with an @media custom CSS? Thanks very much.

On the desktop version the logo and menu have a dark gray background with white writing, but on the mobile version the background is white with white writing. I’d like the background on the mobile version to be the same dark gray.

I’ve been trying to change the text from footer but i can’t figure it out. I tried editing the footer.php file but i get an error, any suggestions?

Beginner question: How do I make my primary menu in sidebar show sub-categories when I hover over the main category? I use AuthorPro.

My menu and logo are right justified on the menu causing their to be about 15% of total screen wasted space for the left sidebar.

With Mastodon becoming more popular, I wanted to add its Social Media Icon to my site, and I was happy to see it was already in the list.
However, it seems in order to have a website appear as verified in one’s profile, rel=”me” should be included in the link code, like this:
<a rel="me" href="https://mastodon.green/@martijnk">Mastodon</a>
Adding the link elsewhere on the page, apparently doesn’t work when you add the social media icon as well, if that doesn’t have rel=”me” in it…

Would it be possible to add the rel=”me” in the Mastodon icon link, so it qualifies for verification?

I’m experimenting with the Author Theme and have a footer menu displayed in a separate widget in the sidebar. At the moment the font-size is rather small, and I can’t work out what CSS I need to make it larger. Would anyone be able to advise me?

In tgm\class-tgm-plugin-activation.php, all text domain tracks should be author.

If this issue exists in your other themes, please change the wrong text domain to theme’s slug.

When using the Author theme I was verifying the website regarding GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance and found that there is one font resource referenced externally which is an issue. The problem is in the file inc\scripts.php using fonts.googleapis.com as an external reference. To avoid GDPR related issues with calling external references (and also for reliability reasons) could you change the theme to include this resource locally in the theme itself?

Hey, is there anyway to have more control over the menu, like less of a gap between each section and to also remove the separator lines on the menu?

I’m using the Author Theme on Elementor, but it appears none of the dates on my blog posts appear. It just says “by Brian Price published on” and then a blank space where the date is. How can I fix this?

I love the Author theme, and I’d just like to invert the Pages/Posts colors to black background w/light text. Can I do this in Author Pro? The FAQ shows some customizable color options but I didn’t see if this was possible.

When my pages resize too small the pre content starts wrapping. I would like to add a horizontal scrollbar instead. It’s not easy to read when it wraps.

I’ve tried adding the following code in Additional CSS; it adds both vertical and horizontal scrollbars, but the content still wraps.

}

Can someone help me get it working correctly?

I’m trying to set up my blog and am actually using the Poet theme which is a child or Author.

Is there a way to have the home page have only the most current post and the older ones move to another “blog” page? If so, any suggestions on how to do this, please?

I would like the picture at the top of my home or landing page to always be the same. Is there a way to do that and then have the blogs begin right under that?

Hello, English is not my language and I try to say what I want to say the best I can, sorry.
I have my blog divided into two categories. I want one to have a color scheme and the other his. Each category with its own colors.
My problem is, I don’t know if it is possible to get two different color schemes with that theme (I have Author pro).

No matter what I do, I cannot limit the number of blog posts on my site using Author Theme.

I used both Settings/Reading and Customizer to limit the blog posts to 10 on the blog page.

I have it set up (and saved) as a static page in Homepage settings with my ‘About’ page being the homepage and ‘Blog’ as the posts page.

My site is hosted by Siteground and I purged the SG cache and refreshed the page after each attempt to fix this.

I’d be grateful for any suggestions.

My tags are gray font on gray background; they are unreadable. Where do I find the colors for the tags?

How do I hide the page title on the home page? I would actually prefer to hide it througout the site.

The Comment font/display function on the website is just TOO HUGE. I need to make it smaller. Both “Leave a Reply” title and just the whole commenting function. It should not be anywhere the size of my page text. How can I do this?

my menu consists of pages and categories as sub-items. Is there a possibility that the first level with the currently active category link remains open? When I have opened a post, the menu no longer shows which category the post belongs to. Should look something like this:
1. link +
2. link –
– 2.1 sublink
– 2.2 sublink (active)
– 2.3 sublink
3. link +
4. link +
I found a plugin (Current Menu Item for Custom Post Types), but it only works for one category. Have a look at “Neubau” or “Modernisierung”. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to ask, but I could not find an answer to this anywhere. I’m building a site where I can shere my stories. Some are short, some are big stories. My problem is that my featured inmages should look like book covers and not be cropped as they are.

The best look would be something like Wattpad or Sweek interface where featured image is shown as a book cover (the sane aspect ratio). Thare should be no excerpts, unless mouse hover over the image, or the excerpts should be at the side of the imagem without forcing the image to crop.

I’m not sure if there is a theme that already do that or if I could get it easily done with Author Pro (there is no place to test if I can achieve it before buying), but I’m no coder and I’m no able to get it done with a child theme.

So, my questions are:

1. Is it possible to get it done with Author Theme?
2. If not, would it be possible with Author Pro (at least in an easier way)?
3. If not, is there any other theme that do this even though I love Author?
