the menu on mobile devices does not appear. it shows up for a split second at the bottom left. can i adjust this to be more visible?

i recently updated the Beyond Expectations theme for my client’s site – lost all of my side column content and now the primary menu does not display in Google Chrome properly (no black background so unable to see the menu) and no menu displays at all on smart phone in Safari. Menu does display properly in firefox, Edge and IE. please help resolve this issue as ski season is almost here and it is imperative that the site menu functions properly in Chrome and Safari.

How would I change the way the menu drop down works?
It’s not the typical mouseout behavior that people expect.
Having to click the up arrow is not expected and will cause confusion.
