Is there a way to remove the left sidebar?
I believe there might be a problem with word wrapping in Version 1.09 downloaded about 4 weeks ago. Words within my posts and sidebar are splitting indiscriminately without hyphenation.
I reloaded style.css from 1.08 and the problem disappears.
The title for my blog (Fighting for Wellness) is bleeding through my header image. The only way I’ve found to make it stop is to delete the name of my site through “Site Identity” under my Theme customization. This has the unfortunate effect of removing my site name from the browser tab. This is a very new issue (the past three hours) and no updates have occurred. I’m hoping someone can help!
Homepage title appears to be repeating itself :
Site Name | Site Description Site Name | Site Description
I have Add Meta Tags plugin installed but this doesn’t seem to be the problem – deactivated it and the title is still repeated. Changed to another theme and the problem goes away. Where should I start looking?
Guys, please update all templates from this nice theme (BirdTIPS), so they can be selected from the admin dashboard. Please read this: Why is there no Page Template option when writing or editing a Page?
Hi-
I would like to eliminate the right sidebar and keep the other sidebar and push it to the right, and then widen the content area to cover the extra space. Is there a way to do it?
On my test installation when I activated the theme I saw both sidebars, and the right sidebar contained a Meta widget that I had already deleted and that does not show up on the active widget list (which means I can’t remove it), but it’s there on the site anyway. Also both sidebars had a search bar, and I don’t need two of those. (I use a test installation to iron out the kinks before taking my site live.)
I placed an empty text widget on the right sidebar and that at least erased all the unwanted content. But it still leaves an empty space where I would like the left (and only) sidebar to be.
I did not see an option in Customize to choose the number of sidebars. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
In my BirdTIPS child theme I needed to override a parent theme function, but this is not possible because not all the parent theme functions are pluggable (wrapped in a if (!function_exists()) condition). Could you guys (the developers) improve this and do your theme more customizable?
For now, I already wrapped the needed function in a if (!function_exists()) condition in the functions.php of the parent theme and overrided it in the child theme functions.php file, but this is not a good solution.

Using Birdtips 1.06. I have replaced header with a slideshow called easingsliderlite by pasting code into header.php. This worked fine but with Firefox upgrade to v 35 there is a 1075×1075 blank space under the header. I can’t figure out how to make the blank space disappear. I have been told it doesn’t appear in Chrome. Here is where I pasted in code:

<?php if ( function_exists( "easingsliderlite" ) ) { easingsliderlite(); } ?>
<?php
// The header image

Using birdtips 1.06 I created a new page. I expected that a menu line with the page titles will appear in the header but it did not. My efforts are described on stack exchange:
https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/145241/how-can-i-make-birdtips-theme-to-show-a-menu
I was advised to come here as this might be with birdtips.
What could cause the menu not to display?
Hello –
I chose this template because it made repeated references to being “flexible”, “custom”, and other nice catchy phrases. Well… I’m finding it anything BUT flexible.
I would like to change the opacity (transparency) of the main column… Can’t seem to do that.
I would like to increase the width of the main and right column, by narrowing the left column… Can’t seem to do that. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Here’s the site I am currently building…

So many things have been changed in the new version of Birdtips and nothing I do in the stylesheet seems to have any effect on changing them back. I want to return to the old version style sheet please:
Heading font sizes all too big now
Tables all now appear with borders
Change Menu font colour to white
Footer background colour and everything about it.
Is it possible to just return to the old version?
Thanks
Karen
Hello,
As default, the whole post appears in the main page but I want to cut it at some length and put a ‘Read More’ button there. How can I do this?
Thank you

Hi everyone,
How can I remove Proudly powered by WordPress?
Also I would like to know if it’s possible to remove one sidebar (in this case the left one).
Thanks in advance ??
Hi,
Interestingly, after installing this theme, the
of my posts appear as “Post TitleBlog Title”. The same goes for pages and tags as well – although not categories for example.
I use All in One SEO Pack, and post title format is set to: %post_title% | %blog_title%
Page title format set to: %page_title% | %blog_title%
So what I see as my post and page
now is, “Post TitleBlog Title | Blog Title”
I can’t figure out where %post_title% is defined either.
Can anyone give any advice here?
Thank you very very much!
Hi I’m trying to add a custom menu with anchors in the dropdown navigational menu placed horizontally on the header banner, but when selected the menu font changes and it becomes a jumble of items in a somewhat vertical, superimposed catastrophe. Can anyone help please? I thought this was a simple standard option available with the theme. But I also haven’t been able to find a current menu widget that inserts anchors. Anyone have any ideas please?
I cannot seem to find a way to remove this text:
You may use these HTML tags and attributes:

<del datetime=""> <strike>
I can't seem to see it in the code.
Any ideas?
Hi,
I have created several custom menus and using widgets I have placed them in a sidebar.
They work fine but when I reduce the screen size to see how the website will look on a mobile device, everything is in a single column, the title of the custom menu is visible, but all my links disappear.
The Categories, Recent Comments and Recent Posts are fine.
I looked at the BirdTIPS demo page, it doesn’t use any custom menus in the sidebars.
I did make some minor changes on the CSS: .widget h3, but I changed them all back to how I found them and the same problem occurs.
Has anybody had the same problem? Can this be fixed or should I change to another responsive theme?
Regards,
Deo
