The issue appears to be relatively easy to fix but… Is this theme still supported?

Dear WordPress people,

BLDR V1.2.6 causes WordPress to crash with a Citical Error when running under PHP8+. This is because the theme uses deprecated PHP4-style constructors for registering custom widgets. The resulting error is “Fatal error: Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function WP_Widget::__construct()”.

I have changed the constructors of all classes extending from WP_Widget and this seems to resolve the issue. At least the theme loads again. If there
are any side effects I do not know; I know very little of WordPress but was
asked to fix the ancient site of a friend of mine.

Is someone knows how to contact the developers and/or have them merge the fixed code in SVN let me know. Also if you want a patched version of the 1.2.6 distribution so you can deploy it, drop me an email.

I’m creating a new site using BLDR. It automatically added the page names and links on the top right e.g. I have 2 pages HOME and RESOURCES and both appear. I want to remove them but cannot find any option in customize/menu? Can someone please help. Thanks

I cannot edit any page with Site Origin Page Builder.

I even install the Classic Editor but there is no options to show the Page Builder.

I have moved the website on to a new host to isolate the malware, cleaned infected wp-config.php, index.php, found torrent entries in the posts table, found a plugin installed called WPCoreSys…. Found images uploaded with torrent file data embedded…. payload is basically black hat seo, torrent. I have overwritten the code with latest.zip and fresh plugins from source on many occasions. Using bldr theme with child theme. Trying really hard to kill this.
I am starting to suspect the theme.

i seem to have a troubleshooting on my website
for some reason, on the widget section and on only one article of my website, the typo is white,
and on the other page , the typo is black like its supposing to be the case,
i dont get how it can be like that, i desactivated the css custom plug in, i removed the widget but nothing happen….
its like that for two days…

How to decrease featured image size on posts?

I have problems with my website running bldr. I mentioned that I can’t view the demo-info, although I downloaded the demo file. Apart from this problem I have the problem that I cannot see the hero section. What should I do to make it appear?

What am I doing wrong? I read the tutorial and imported the contentfiles toolsetfiles and demo content. But nothing shows in the costumizer. Just my blogroll (and headline with menu). Help appreciated.

I’m using the non-premium version of BLDR, the mobile menu displays a button but does not expand. I have a standard menu built in the menu manager and would expect the mobile menu to use it since there’s no selection to apply it to ‘mobile’.

On the “Marketing” section there’s a link to my contact me page (see here https://getmkted.com/). I have searched everywhere, I can’t find where it’s coming from, I didn’t change anything in the theme and everything is up to date. I’m getting crazy. Can anyone help?

i’m looking for the link rel tag where i can change the googleapis link for the latin 2 or latin extended charset.
Now the charset is only taking every fonts’ italic and normal style, but somehow i can overwrite it to get latin extended characters to work on all devices.

I would have the home page column not linkable.
I set up the button link of the columns on # , but if I add a button in the Home Hero Section only 2 of my columns become linkable again.
What can I do to solve this problem?

How can i remove sidebars from right side of pages?

home page services and home page projects widgets are not showing
services and projects have been added, and if I use mt_services or mt_projects, it shows them but no appearance as expected from the theme template

I think I’ve found a major problem of BLDR.
One can select how many entries to show from a custom post type, such as Projects, or choose to show them all.
But what if there are too many posts of that type, and you choose to show them all? You end up with a very very long page, with no pagination (nor a “Load more” button, or anything to that effect).

I’ve already tried to add pagination, but with no luck yet.

I think this feature may be in order.

After update of the BLDR-Theme from 1.1.2 to 1.1.4 the 3 latest blog on the homepage posts do not fit in a line anymore. There is a wrap after 2 posts. So, I had to roll back to version 1.1.2.

I have an error with this theme and polylang:

In the projects section, it shows my projects in both language versions but only in the standard language, it opens the projects, when I click on the plus.

In the second language (english in my case), it does not open the right project post but shows my 404 page….

Any ideas?

INTRO
I am trying to edit a template file called bldr-services.php but i cannot get it to override the parent file. As far as i can tell, it comes down to the fact that in the parent functions.php, the call for the file has the path get_template_directory() instead of get_stylesheet_directory(). If i change the call to use get_stylesheet_directory() then i am able to override the template successfully in my child theme. The problem there is that when the theme updates, i will lose the changes. I need to find a way to make it a permanent fix/change.

DETAILS
I am using the free theme called BLDR. I have created a child theme and it works as it should. When i try to override the file theme-dir/widgets/bldr-services.php by placing a copy of it in child-theme-dir/widgets/bldr-services.php it does not override. Even if i place the file in the root of the child theme it doesn’t work.

After looking in the parent themes functions.php i found that the path to file uses the template directory and not the stylesheet directory. So when i try to override the template, it reads the parent theme directory and not the child theme directory. Here is the code from the parent functions.php:
