On my main page I have about a dozen blog posts, but two of them have no auto-generated excerpts or “Read more” button, just the photo and title. If I add a manual excerpt that will show up, but still no “Read more” button. I don’t know why this is an issue with these particular posts because there is nothing different about them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
]]>Thank you for making such a lovely, simple theme. I’m using the Custom Aware Sidebars to remove the sidebar on one specific page. It works, but rather than the page taking up the full width, it leaves an empty space. The documentation from the sidebar plugin says:
In many themes, an empty sidebar will automatically make a page take up the full width, but some themes will instead display a blank space. You should contact the developer of the theme to change this behaviour.
The function is_active_sidebar( ‘target-sidebar’ ) can be used to determine when a page should take up full-width, as it will return false if a sidebar – or any sidebar that replaces it – is empty.
Is there any code I can add to make the page take up the full width when there’s no sidebar?
Thank you in advance for your help ??
]]>Good day friends. Help to make the h1 tag only on the home page. Or wrap the Logo Only in h1. Thank you.
]]>I’m using the blog-kit theme with WordPress – I have updated everything – blog-kit today, WordPress just days ago.. can anyone help…. Blog-kit works just fine but when editing, the eding width is much narrower than the final blog display width which, for example, makes it difficult to judge the title length when editing. I don;t know how to adjust things so that the editor width widens out to the same as blog-kit output.
]]>I LOVE the blog kit theme but I do my own excerpts on blog entries (I use MS Live Writer to edit posts) and usually put an image on one or another SIDE of the first paragraph or two. How do I turn off the automatic except “read more” function so that my own post paging will work again.
]]>Can you guide me how to remove the background (I don’t know what it is called) that seperates my post with my header and sides?
I just want to remove it on mobile devices so that my posts can display texts in mobile at its best.
Here is what I meant by that:
I’ve tried couple things. First, I simply equalized the color with my posts layout (white; #FFFFFF). It worked but there was a gap between my posts, header, and sides. I know it is because the “background” was still there.
I also tried to use padding and margin, but it didn’t work. I know it was blocked by the background.
So, how to simply remove that “gap” or “background” or whatever it is called? (Sorry XD)
Thank you so much for your assistance.
]]>Very nice theme! I don’t understand how the featured image works, though. In other themes that I use, I insert photos directly into the blog post, and then choose one to be the featured image and that one will be the one that is used on social media, for example.
But in Blog Kit, if I select a photo as the featured image it inserts it again at the top of the post. Is there a way to change that so I don’t have the same image twice in the post, or so I can select a photo that is use later on in the post as the featured image?
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
Is there a way to remove the featured image from single posts only?
Thanks!
