I am the superadmin of a multisite at my college. At the end of the semester (which is now), I am having students export their site from our college site/server (courses.dc.edu) and import onto their free WordPress.com site.

My question is this: why is it that some themes I allow my students to use on the multisite (Magazino and BlogR for example) do not appear in the search results on the WordPress.com themes?

I see these themes are available to download, but I am not familiar with how — or if — it is possible to import these themes into the students WordPress.com sites. In other words, I would like my students to have the ability to use Magazino or BlogR, but I need guidance on how to activate them on the free WordPress.com site.
