Is there a way to eliminate the Site Identity white space above the header image?

I’d like to use the block below the navigation menu to show the site name and the sidebar to show the site logo…so I don’t want that large white space above the header.

I’m trying to use Catch Evolution. I have everything set but the header image is not showing. It’s the only thing not working. It’s uploaded, just not showing. Any suggestions? Thanks, Caat

Have a few fixes/tweaks to this Catch Evolution theme that I’d love help on.

1) How do I narrow the height of the header image so that it does not take up so much space on page?

2) How do I increase content column size so that it is not so narrow?

3) I’ve selected black as my background color and the dark color scheme, but area outside of column looks grey, not black. How can I either a) make a matching black or b) make transparent so that the background image actually shows? Presently only a tiny sliver at bottom of pages (black glitter).

4) I can customize text color, but do not see any way to specify a color for hyperlinks.

When I go to my site I have Header text that says Welcome Horror Fans then a Youtube video below that to welcome people. My site for fine for a long time and now there is a HUGE space between the title header and the youtube video I can not figure out how to get rid of that. When I am in editing section it does not show as a space there.

I’m using Catch Evolution’s dark theme so to make the text more legible on certain pages I have changed the background colour (grey) and text colour (black) but when I do this links no longer show as blue/clickable text. How can keep the link colour or change the colour of selected text?

Is there a way to insert a slideshow in the header area instead of an image?

Would the slideshow be full screen width just as the header image is?

In response to a previous question about how to decrease the height of the header image space, the suggestion was to add the following to CSS.

#branding img, #header-image img {
height:300px;
}

Unfortunately, this reduced BOTH the height and width of the header image.

I would like to retain the full-width image but reduce its height only…to about 50% of what it is today. I know I can crop the image, but want to reduce the header area height so that there is minimal white space showing.

Hope this better explains what I am asking about…and that a solution is possible.

Is there a vertical size limit to the footer areas?

I need to add one more row of sponsors to the left footer area.

Even though Tablepress is showing the 4th row, the footer area does not show it.

Any way around this?

Is there a way to decrease the height of the header image area?

It takes up so much vertical space that visitors almost always have to scroll down to view content.

Does the Catch Evolution theme come with a footer area? Is it one area or multiple?

Can I insert a TablePress table in the footer? The table would include images with links to external sites. I use a table to line up the images for a nice appearance.

I noticed in the demo of Catch Evolution there is a mention of tables. Does that mean the theme provides the ability to create tables? Can that table be placed in the footer? Can I put linked images in that table?

Where can I find the width of the main body…and the sidebar width?

on my Home page, the Tagline is nicely under my Site Title, on my other pages there is space between it.
Also the “M” of the Site Title looks more narrow than the one on the Home page.
How can I make my pages all look like my Home page?

First, there is no menu visible on a mobile phone. What am I doing wrong?
Second, after the update, a menu icon appeared. How can I get rid of it?

I am using the theme Catch Evolution for my last blog and I would like to make minor modifications to the way the article displays on the main welcome page. I would like to remove the author and the text in french (which is not right by the way) ‘laissez une réponsé’ on top of the extract and replace “laissez une réponse” by “laissez un commentaire” (which is what you say in french…). Ho w can I do this, I don’t find it in the main CSS file accessible on the wordpress tool.

I don’t manage to enclose a picture of what I would like to do…

One of my clients wants me to add some styling to her site name. The website is here.

Specifically she want me to style the word “Expressions” differently than the rest of the site name. This is almost impossible in the settings dashboard since any html added there is displayed as text.

My idea is the replace the call to render the website name <?php bloginfo( 'name' ); ?> with an alternate name created in the Advanced Custom Fields plugin which can be styled.

In the Catch Evolution header.php file, the header is created by the function do_action( 'catchevolution_headercontent' );. What theme file does this function reference. I have gone through the theme files top to bottom and have not been able to find the code for displaying the website name. Can anyone point me towards it?

I am using the Catch Evolution free theme. Is it possible to make the Home page header a slider? There are sliders available on other pages but I can’t see how I can put one on my home page. Thanks

I updated Catch Evolution the other day, and now my images are no longer resizing.
At first I thought it was just the header, so I fixed that by adding the following to the custom CSS:

#header-image img {
	max-width: 100% !important;
}

But then I discovered that other images were also too large on Mobile platforms.
I fixed that by adding this as well:

img.size-full, img.size-large, img.wp-post-image {
	max-width: 97.4% !important;
	height: auto;
}

Both of these simply add the !important tag to existing styles.

Problem is that as of a few days ago, no new post show up on first page.
They do show in the “Latest posts” box to the right.

If I change to another theme all is well…

My site url https://www.weightlossthehealthyway.com and my theme is ‘Catch Evolution. I set this up before Christmas, last year, and my theme header image used to ‘slide’, alternating between a bunch of orchids and a Buddhist monk at study.
However, I now find that my header image has become static, and it now only shows the studying monk! Also, instead of the header showing the name of my site, it has now changed to show the name of the theme, ‘Catch Evolution’. I’m pretty new at this and would dearly welcome some help to correct these isues.
