Question about the Cerauno theme: is there a way to get the posts page and the single posts to use the no sidebar page template without having to create a child theme? I haven’t created any sidebars and don’t intend to, but the post pages are still spaced like the sidebar is there.

Hi all.

Quite new to WordPress.

Adding featured images to posts in this theme produces a 100% width image (in its main column – about 65% of the page) on the home page with a 300px max height (auto cropped if larger) and a 100% width image on any post’s actual page, with a 400px max height (auto cropped if larger).

Is there anywhere I might adjust these heights, either theme-wide or (ideally) per post?

Hi all.

New (1 month) WP user, using Cerauno theme (really like that its sidebars are on the right).

Because on mobile Sidebar 1 displays first under the Posts and Sidebar 2 next, I have my “more important” items in Sidebar 1 so mobile users don’t have to scroll as far down to see them.

Unfortunately Sidebar 1 is set narrower than Sidebar 2, and I would like to essentially reverse their relative widths – Set SB1 to SB2’s width and vice-versa.

Is this easily possible?

In the mobile view, clicking on the menu at the top of the page does not show it. I had a look with the mobile web tool to debug the JavaScript: The problem (in navigation.js) comes from the fact that I don’t have a “social menu” on the page (no 2nd <ul> element in the #site-navigation), so the call to

   socialMenu.setAttribute( 'aria-expanded', 'true' );

throws the error message TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'socialMenu.setAttribute')

I don’t know how I’ve managed to remove the social menu, but I know it was intentional. Could you fix the menu JavaScript to work without the social menu?

I’m on a Premium account and can’t change or add any files.

I just switched to a static page+blog page. Not all category posts are showing on the Blog Page. I have researched this and found no solution. Other category posts are showing except one.

The menu on the mobile version my site has stopped working! When I click on it, it changes color (as it would when engaging), but doesn’t actually expand.

I tried deactivating all my plugins, to no avail.

I also tried switching over to a different theme, and the mobile menu started working again. I’d like to keep working with my Cerauno child theme, though.

The desktop menu still works alright…

I am experiencing a problem with my pages.

Inside Page Edit the page looks good, but in the Browsers the lines (<br>) are double space or higher than 1.

Cerauno-Theme allows only 2-column-menu??? Is this right?

I love the look of Cerauno but am having some issues that I’d like to fix. Specifically, on a blog post page my format looks as I want it to, i.e. there are paragraph breaks. But on the main page of the blog, there are no paragraphs in the text of the blog posts. All of the paragraphs run together in one line. Is there a way to fix this? I’m learning CSS on the fly with this blog and I haven’t found anything through Google that is helpful.

Great theme!

Any way to have submenu items on the mobile view be nested (i.e. hidden), until the parent menu is clicked? With a longish menu (which includes some submenu items) it ends up being a long way to scroll, and you loose the sense of understanding the navigation system.

My menu don’t drop down in responsive view. Don’t understand…

There are two things at my page I’m working with. I’m using Cerauno with child theme.

1) I need to translate untranslated “Read more” text, which I found has been a problem with some other users with other themes, but haven’t got that figured out. I got the Loco translate plugin because I thought if it was untranslated string, but I found no Read more string there. (And also I need to add new language when there’s no translation to the sites primary language, but I can use the secondary language till I’ll get that done). There’s also Previous post and Next post text in English in single post page. I don’t understand where does it take those English texts when the strings should already be translated.

2) If the screen is narrowed so that the sidebars are shown below main content, both of my sidebars could fit next to each other, but the left sidebar is on the left side of the screen with blank area on the right half of the screen. And the below of that the right sidebar is on the right of the screen with blank area on the left half of the screen. How do I modify the code to get those sidebars shown below the content (where they are already) but next to each others?

On Cerauno the page templates are on the root theme folder and dependent files on a subfolder called template-parts.

I need to create a page template not on the root theme folder but on a subfolder which has to be called templates. On the subfolder I created a file which is a copy on the nosidebar template but with a different name (full-width-page.php). Exact same code except the template name (Full Width Page).

When I go to select/asigned the template to the Page, it does find it. But when I click to show the page it does not execute correctly. I think it does not find the CSS style for the template.

I added this code to the Cerauno-Child Style.css:

.page-template-full-width-page-php .site-main,
.page-template-nosidebar-page-php .site-main {
	float: none;
	margin-left: auto;
	margin-right: auto;
}

This CSS works when the page template file is located on the child theme root folder.

The content should appear in the center of the page.

I only found one reference to the featured image in the theme’s files, and it changes how featured images are shown as thumbnails on the index page, not the post pages.
I’d like to move featured images on individual post pages (using a child theme) so that they appear below the post titles, instead of above. Can’t figure out a way to do this. Anyone have ideas?

The widgets in my sidebar all look a little random, and I have two issues I want to solve:

1. reducing the vertical space between widgets
2. bringing widgets to the same width

Any tips on how to do that?

I’m trying to remove one of two sidebars (which doesn’t have any widgets) and extend the content of the post over that empty area. Is that possible?

Alternatively, I’d like to center the sidebar I’m using – otherwise there’s a lot of empty space between the post and the sidebar, and it looks neglectful.

Nice new theme. Just one issue: it is advertized as supporting logo customization but in my test installation the option is nowhere to be found (usually under Customize | Site Title & Tagline, but there’s only the standard text input option there).
Is it just me, or is the feature in fact missing? Realize I can implement a logo manually but would love to use the theme’s feature, if it is available.

How can I change the post meta font color, such as author and date within “Easy Google Fonts.” I tried to find the CSS selectors, but I must’ve been using the wrong ones.
