I am just starting to use this themes. Have not made any changes yet. But I am giving a 4 star rating just for the uncomplicated understandable theme options with drop down boxes and visual layout selections. Nice tabbed menu to go to different sections of customization including actual instructions.
After testing some 10 plugins, 3 themes and reading lots of 1 star reviews in the last month, I so pleasantly surprised to find clean instruction under the theme options menu. Great job on making it understandable.

I’ve used many themes before this, and is awesome how simple and intuitive is to use. I’ve many plugins installed and still works wonderful. After a whole year using the free version I finally got the paid one. Not regret that!!

**UPDATE**
Although I’ve been told I’m not supposed to post about premium themes here I thought it only fair to update my original rating based on the changes Themehorse is doing to the Clean Retina theme.
The Theme has a simple but visually appealing layout, easy to customize, and has excellent load times. Even loaded up with many plugins and widgets, my mainpage gets an avg. load time score of 86 on Google’s page speed (plus I’m on a shared server).
Initially there were some issues with some of the backend stuff (hence the title of my review and my previous poor rating) but the Themehorse team is working hard to fix these issues and I’m sure it will be fixed soon.

Custom CSS-Eingabefeld; ein “top”-Pfeil, der bei l?ngeren Seiten automatisch erscheint; das “Search”-Feld l?sst sich in den Einstellungen ausblenden, die Seitendarstellung kann per Radiobutton gew?hlt werden und und und… sehr empfehlenswertes Theme!

I love the work of Theme Horse. They provide remarkably helpful support for their free themes. Clean Retina provides an elegant environment for text and graphics. It’s impressive that the free version provides a very cool slider for navigation. And their subtle use of texture in their design demonstrates their good taste and strong coding skills. I do have one small concern: when multiple paragraphs are included in a single blockquote, their is insufficient separation between paragraphs. However, I am very confident that the excellent support team at Theme Horse will be able to help me with this small issue. Attitude and Clean Retina are my top two WP themes. I do intend to purchase a pro version. For my money, Theme Horse is one of the top ten theme providers on WP–for me,they are number 1.

I’m becoming a fan of the Theme Horse developers team. Why? Many reasons. Quality with Simplicity and Balance up front, period. One more and quite subjective one: there is “something” extremely positive, and hard to explain, behind its structure and codes. This elegant and well organized work, comes with a complete list of instructions without the common excessive and annoying selling slogans. An extremely flexible theme that for some reason, which remains undetected by my “clean retina,” elicit my deepest interest in it and I’m daring to predict that it will awake the same feelings in my future visitors. Well, I just got the PRO version and it will take days for me to just explore a small percentage of its possibilities. I already researched dozen of themes but this one, according to my needs and my sincere opinion, is the best one only followed by Attitude. Please notice that I rarely write opinions in WP and I’m very stingy in terms of praising any product. Now, after this one, I will expect nothing less than a great special support ?? Thanks to the Theme Horse people for their knowledge, time, effort, and strive for perfection. Dr. R.M.
