I would like to

1) Reduce the header area & align the home/menu/search icons to the left hand top of the posts pls.

2) Move the footer text Crates – Responsive WordPress Tumblog Theme by Artexor | Powered by Worpress from the footer on the front page to the footer of the menu

3) Change the menu background colour

4 Is it possible to have a footer menu instead of the side menu?

I just installed Crates. Everything works fine, except when I navigate anywhere other than the homepage, and try to open the main navigation menu. It won’t open, in my address bar it adds “#modal”. Any advice?

I am using jetpack…
to allow users to subscribe to updates.

The Jetpack widget lives in your “Header/Nav Sidebar”.

Do you know how to open the sidebar via jQuery, so that visitors could see the confirmation text which appears above the widget?

It is maybe totally simple, I just need the function call to open the sidebar; then I would use $(location).attr(‘hash’) to decide when to call it.
