My WordPress version is 4.9.6–ja.
My discover theme version is 1.7.30.

I updated it a few days ago.

After updating, I can not update HOMEPAGE BOX.

Even when uploading the image, the preview is no longer displayed.

For the “Page Attribute”, I am only able to find “Parent” and “Order”, but I am not able to find the “Template” Dropdown to select the template, so I cannot select “Custom Home” template.

Is there anyway to add links to the 4 photos on the home page? Clearly they are hardwired via the theme not to have links, but is there any clever way to add this functionality.

I am trying to change the phone number in the upper right hand corner of my website. A previous developer created this for me. The phone number is a text widget. I cannot lot for the life of me figure out how she got that text widget to appear in the upper left hand corner of the home page.

It is definitely not on the widgets page. Where else would I look?

I think we recently upgraded the them (although I am not positive). There is a telephone icon that appears and it used to be black and looked like this (and was an image)

Now it is a bright red, which really doesn’t match the color scheme of our site. I can no longer copy and paste the phone icon image.

My web designer can’t figure out how to fix or over ride this.

Where do I change the slider’s default settings? My slider delays a few seconds before showing up. The rest of my page is already showing before the slider does. If you can’t tell me that, then can you tell me how to replace the slider with one static image?

After the last update all the content from the theme options are blank: slider images, and heading boxes!!! Please advice what happened?!

I want to change the colors and get rid of the immense amount of orange. I have tried using the theme options and changed all of the colors to color codes that I want but nothing has changed. I want to avoid going into the CSS files if possible. Any advice would be appreciated.

When I try to add an image to the Slider image 1 field in the theme option for this them, Discover, I receive the following error message: Cheatin’ uh?

Could someone please help me troubleshoot this?

I need to add a blog to a WordPress site with a static front page. It’s version 4.2.2 with the free version of the “discover” theme; I think the theme may have been modified by the person who built the site, who is not me and who is not available to solve this problem.

I followed these instructions to add the blog, but discovered that there was no page listed as “home” in the pages listing. So I left the “home” page unassigned and designated “Blog” as the “posts page”, but that just meant the blog became the front page, which I didn’t want.

I went digging for the home page (which I figured has to exist, since there is definitely a front page), and couldn’t find one. The closest I got was under “Theme options,” where “Blog display” was set to “off” and the homepage text was in text boxes labeled “Homepage Box 1 text”, “Homepage Box 1 thumbnail image,” etc.

So if there isn’t a real front page—just a collection of text boxes as part of the theme—how do I set up a blog on this site?

I have searched high and low (for 2 days) and can’t find the answer.

So I built my site on the same server it was going to be hosted on and once we had our URL, I created a new folder and migrated everything. It seemed to be up and running but there are a few things that I just can’t figure out for the life of me. If you click on the link, and then click on the product, it brings up a light box.

In the top right and left (and other places) of the picture, it just shows a square. Some icons on the back end also don’t show. Any help would be great. All the file permissions are correct on the server.

Footer doesn’t stick on the bottom of my page when i’m in woocommerce pages.

Is there a way to enable the boxes on any page besides home?

For example, I’m in the contact form page and I want them to be at the end of the page.

I have just updated to the latest Discover theme on 1 December on my site BridgeNature.org. Before I did this the selection menus pretty much lined up at the top with the site’s logo, and the Welcome statement and slider box sat just underneath. Now there is a huge pile of white space at the top and everything is out of line, but I can’t see why. It doesn’t look like this on the Discover theme that is displyed for downloading. Can anyone help please. I’m not that hot on editing CSS.

I cannot find how to change the color of the site title. The very first line on the site. I can change everything else except for this. I like wp, but it’s so frustrating that the developers make things like this so hard. I’ve looked in the css file and can’t find it anywhere.

How can I replace the slider with an Iframe? I have a custom form that I would like to appear in it’s place. I just want to replace the images slideshow. I have the advanced iframe plugin installed. Thanks!

This is a note to the developers about a minor error I experienced in the free and pro discover theme’s sidebar.

Each successive widget is nested within the previous widget, instead of all widgets being on the same level. To fix this, I had to add 'after_widget' => '</div>' to each register_sidebar in the discover_widgets_init() function in functions.php, and all was good.

I am working on a WP site that someone else set up. For the posts and pages, there is no categories in the dashboard or the post boxes.

Is there somewhere in the dashboard I can enable this? Or is this a theme issue that I need to edit with code?

I updated a site I look after with the latest WP and Discover theme but I forgot to back up the theme, some items were reset most of which I have recovered

However I am having a problem with the header menu, I would like this to be next to the header logo but I cannot find where in the code to do this

Also on the main page the 2 large box links to New and Used look to be left justified, I would like these centered in there columns
