I am unable to use dw-minion as a theme as I get a fatal error when U activate it. The problem has only arisen this morning and there have been no other changes on the site. How do I hel you diagnose the issue with me? Thanks

When creating a page or writing a blog or clicking at most of the links to change anything in wordpress Dashboard, a “Choose an Image” doalogue box pops and doesn’t close. even if I add the image or click on X. it doesnt do anything.

It seems like a bug. Please help.
This issue doesnt appear if I change the theme??

I am a beginner. and this is a network site. ( i have other network sites also)

I installed this wonderful theme but I have problems with the social links.

I just put my links for Facebook and LinkedIn in the option for social links, and when I click on them, my Facebook page or my LinkedIn profile don′t open.

I have a question regarding one of your themes – DW Minion. I have been working with the theme and getting familiar with it and really like it!

Could you assist – I’m needing to increase the left sidebar to 300px and when I do it bumps the main content container and right sidebar below the left sidebar. I’ve been looking through main.css to figure out that sections I need to tweak but that file is a bit overwhelming. Could you point me in the right direction?

While changing the logo, the interface gets non responsive while accessing the media library.

But, while trying to upload a logo, it shows an error HTTP error, but the image still gets uploaded in the media section.

Net net, unable to change the site logo and favicon.

Have tried:

1. Disabling all plugins and trying to to this. Still wasn’t able to.
2. Checking with the host to check if there are any image uploading restrictions. There are none.

Looking forward to getting help.

I would like to change the social links. I dont need linked in for exapmle, but i need tumblr. I was thinking of replacing just the image of linked in with tumblr and writing the adress as tumblr to the colmn for linked in. That woudl totally work, but im not able to find it in the code ?? So if you have suggestions, please help ! ??

I just want to have basically the close to default wp read more aspect.

The DW minion theme shows a button which is placed below the excerp.

I would like it to be inline with the excerp text, and to use same paragraph style more or less, not a fancy button like the theme has by default.

What I’d want it to look like:

it’s not a problem with the latest version of WordPress. I noticed this issue in january already. All little symbols/icons e.g. for social media links or the post type are exchanged in small rectangles with an narrow hexa decimal code inside (firefox) or even not shown (internet explorer). Both browsers are always updated well and running in the current newest version.

I suppose it has something to do with UTF-8, german language and google fonts, but wonder, why it works on Safari, Chrome and Opera.

Any idea?

As of two days ago updates to any page of my site will not show on the site. It saves and shows in the dashboard but goes no farther. These are the things I’ve tried:
I deactivated all plugins, still no updates.
I updated my php from 5.2 to 5.5, still no updates.
I tried Google Chrome, Firefox and IE, still no updates.
I did a live preview of another theme “Coraline”, UPDATES WERE THERE.
I cancelled my live preview and went back to DW Minion, no updates.

I love this theme. I searched months before I chose one and this one allows me to do exactly what I want to do. But page updates, kinda important.

I’m no WordPress genius, but I do handle three sites and two of those are WP. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A few quick qs

1. What is the default font used for H tags and body text?
2. Is there an easy way to hide page titles and the black line underneath?
3. The blog is too long/never ending is their some pagination advice?
4. I’d like to add an author and author bio to each blog post – any advice here?

I don’t have any issues with my current site, but I’m thinking of using this with another site I’ll build soon. IF I can make a few tweaks to the theme:

1. Make the left column (with the logo and menu) fixed. I have tried to apply {position: fixed;} to that area, but it doesn’t seem to work…

2. Have the right widget column behave as the top area, ie to disapear when the widget area is empty (AND allow the main area to take it plase, so the main area is full width).

3. A plus would be to set the left column to 300 px instead of 200 px, and make necessary changes to the overall layout so that wont mess things up ??

I know that this is much to ask, but if anyone knows how to accomplish this and feel like sharing – I am all ears.

All went good with this theme untill I started using next gen gallery.

Weird thing is: one moment it works, the other moment not.
Some things I noticed:
– in manage widgets: not opening the Secondory Sidebar when I click the triangle
– I can click the add-media button, but nothing happens
– When I click add nextgen gallery, a popup appears, but nothing happens
– …

What helps is deactivating NextGen gallery to make it all work again.
When re-activating most of the times everything looks fine, but after a while same problems re-appear.
As said before. Sometimes I just log out (not knowing what to do to solve it) without making any changes, when I log in again, everything works just fine.

I tried exploring google for answers, and maybe it has something to do with jquery?

Does it ring a bell for someone of what I’m trying to explain (in my bad English (I’m dutch-speaking))?

In Google Webmasters tools i having this error:
Error: Missing required field “updated”.
Apparently is because dw-minion theme not uses the updated field.

Any one can help me to solve this?

I just found this theme, and I love it. But still, I ran into a weird problem soon when tinkering with the theme settings.

What I did was to change the background color of the left sidebar (the one with search at the top and “back to top”-link at the bottom), and after I saved/published, the “other” left sidebar, with the logo, is behaving really strange. Have a look here:

Also, when I visit the site there is a popup with the red color I chose.

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with new posts publishing to my Facebook fan page. To clarify, published posts are appearing on every social media network I have connected to WordPress with the exception of my Facebook fan page.

After much research, I’ve discovered – using the Facebook debugger tool (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/) – that there appears to be error with the theme I’m currently using, DW Minion.

Regardless of whether I enter my blog’s URL (https://stephenmasker.com/blog/) or an article specific URL (https://stephenmasker.com/blog/society6/), *all* of my blog URL’s return an error in Facebook’s debugger tool, which reads:

Object Missing a Required Value: Object at URL ‘https://stephenmasker.com/blog’ of type ‘article’ is invalid because a required property ‘og:image:url’ of type ‘url’ was not provided.

Further, I believe this error is theme related because when I switched to *any other theme* – for example, Virtue (https://www.ads-software.com/themes/virtue) – the error is resolved. Additionally, other themes not only resolve the error produced in the Facebook debugger tool, but they also all publish articles to Facebook without issue.

Lastly, I have uninstalled & reinstalled the Facebook WordPress app (via Facebook) countless times, deactivated and reactivated my social media accounts (via the WordPress dashboard), and, I’ve deactivated all plugins. After all of this, I ran the FB debugger tool again (on any given URL on my blog), and still the error persists.

I am confident that an articles failure to publish to my Facebook fan page is a theme related issue.

Could you please look into the error I’m receiving and its relationship to DW Minion?

Hi, i have a problem with the editor’s width in my admin panel that is fixed to 630px; I tried to modify the css file setting max-width to 100% but it doesn’t work. Can you fix that? On large monitor (1920 px) the editor is too small.

I installed Contact Form 7 plugin but in the browser the width of the contact form appear 150px only.

I am using the DW Minion Theme and have been unable to successfully change the Post Title (entry title) color and the Hyperlink Color independently.

To clarify: I’d like the Post Entry color to be one color, and the Hyperlink Color to be a separate, different color.

Additionally, I would like to permanently disable Post Titles *and* Hyperlinks from underlining when they are hovered over.

I know absolutely nothing about CSS, so any detailed instructions on how to modify these elements would be greatly appreciated.
