Reason: http_request_failed – cURL error 35: Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to demo.themeegg.com:443”

It’s local server with curl enabled and php 7.3.12.

I was using the free version of Eggnews and was able to assign a header-image, I bought the Pro version and now I can’t add one? Where is the option for a header image??

The widget “feature slider” the slider not open the page link.
The features posts open the page link.
what to do?

Pluguin works but does not replace the original theme menu. The max mega menu is above the original menu only where it has buttons. So it does not appear 100% like mega menu. How do I make it work?

2 serious problems when using AMP for WP. The site menu items in the AMP version are not automatically added. When viewed in AMP mode, the main content disappears on the main page. A site with a theme installed does not validate Google AMP pages. Is the topic conflicting with AMP plugins?

Just a heads up..someone posted about a major bug in Firefox when using Page Slider and provided a fix on your github page for this theme:

Hello EggNews Theme Developer

First, thank you again for this amazing free theme. I would like to mention the problem I am facing right now related to SEO.

According to the test, from 2 SEO checking tools websites, the H1 and H2 tags are missing from the EggNews Theme, I tested other themes, and all of them have it. I even tried to add H1 and h2 tags on posts, but NO luck to display on the checking sites. So instead of modifying by plugins, I thought it would be a great idea to create a topic here.

Your theme is really awesome, though few other options would be implemented.

We have a big problem.

Responsive Google AdSense on header (right side of the logo) on Eggnews is not showing. But image ad is perfectly working. And when we put the code with another image ad then the Google ad is working. Our client is really angry on it.

Is there missing something like that? We see this type of problem on Colormag Theme.

Hi again guys! Thanks for the fast update! I noticed most of the W3C validation errors were fixed but it seems you guys missed:

role=”main” for the <main> tag
required=”required” for the <aria-required> tag

Not a big deal, since i have set up a child theme and fixed the remaining myself since you guys have worked hard enough.

Some issues…

For each issue i list below i also provide an attached image to give you an idea what i am referring to:

1. When you set Boxed Layout (via: Customizer > General Settings > Website Layout > Boxed Layout) and look at the pagination display (bottom of the page under a category) you see it’s not lined up correctly. In this attached image the top part of the image is what your theme currently shows and the bottom part is what the correct look should be. THE FIX: Just add this left padding: .navigation.pagination { padding-left:30px; }
2. The scroll up arrow that appears on every page (as seen at the bottom-right corner of any page) has a z-index issue. Currently it isn’t set so if sites have other things like their social media icons in that region then the arrow is covered/overlapped, preventing the ability to click to scroll back up. In this attached image the top part of the image is what your theme currently shows and the bottom part is what the correct look should be. THE FIX: Just add this z-index: #teg-scrollup { z-index:9999; }
3. When using the popular W3C Markup Validation Service this theme gets many html validation warnings. You can see them in this attached image. The fixes are quite simple. For example, when you use the <nav> tag you don’t need to include the role=”navigation” e.g. <nav id=”comment-nav-above” class=”navigation comment-navigation” role=”navigation”> should instead be <nav id=”comment-nav-above” class=”navigation comment-navigation”>. The other tags with similar issues include main, header, nav, aside, footer, and aria-required`. As for the h2-h6 warning which in the attached image you can see W3C flagged 120 of them. This is referring to the comments area. Currently you guys use the <div> tag within an <article> tag for each comment. To get rid of this warning one just needs to replace the <div> with <h6> for each author name. For example: <div class=”comment-author vcard”> is changed to <h6 class=”comment-author vcard”>

When I try to install demo content using ThemeEgg ToolKit, I get the message: Error: Bad Gateway (502). Used, the newly installed official WordPress 4.8.3-ru_RU, the theme of Eggnews 1.3.6. Plugins installed and activated: Contact Form 7 4.9.1; Social Icons Lite 1.0.1; ThemeEgg ToolKit 1.1.0. How can this problem be solved?
