Hi! My wordpress website (I use the Elara theme) is currently showing a white blank page.

I followed the instructions recommended here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-wordpress-white-screen-of-death/#aioseo-enable-debug-mode-to-catch-errors-in-wordpress to catch errors in the page, and this is the list of errors I saw.

Hi,

I had to change the php version. I’ve received the warning:

Warning: Undefined array key “blogger” in /home/platne/serwer25269/public_html/englishfreak.pl/wp-content/themes/elara-child/functions.php on line 30

I’ve contacted the hosting support and they said it happens so as the Elara Theme has stopped updating.

Do you happen to know if the theme is going to be updated or it is necessary to change the theme so as not to discourage the customers from shopping?

I’m new to WordPress having just started to get going with a site I created a year or so ago. I’m using the Elara theme as it’s simple, uncluttered form will sit well with my site. However, when I create a post, a solid, coloured box is being placed between my post heading and my content. I can’t seem to get rid of it!! Please can anyone help?

I have the free Elara theme on my site https://ambitiouslyalexa.com. In the middle of updating a blog post and changing a font through the Google fonts plug-in, my site completely crashed and returned a 503 error.

My host says the server is not the issue. They updated all my plugins and WordPress for me after this issue happened, and they said there is nothing more they can do on their end, that it is an incompatibility with this Elara theme.

Please let me know what can be done. Keep in mind, I have no access to my usual WordPress wp-admin backend. I only have access to the cPanel file manager as the site is down.

I have just installed Elara. I want to use a heading image (linking to my services page). It works fine in Customize however it doesn’t work when I preview my website. Do you know where the problem may come from ?

Hi! I was wondering if there was any way to have the heading and description font not display on the home page banner? I would like to create my own image with font on the image instead.

But I’d also like to make sure the button stays toward the bottom of the banner if possible, so that I can have room to add my image with its own font.

Is there a CSS for making lists in posts a certain font size? My general font size site-wide is 20px, but for some reason lists (as in, numbered lists and bulleted lists) do not conform to that setting.

I just got set up with Monumetric for ads on my blog. However, they are requesting that I change the sizing of a couple things on my site in order to best place the ads. They told me:

-your sidebar needs to be widened from 292px to 300px.
-Mobile content area needs to be widened from 317px to 320px

Is there a way to change this?

I know that the default for the Elara theme is a black underlined link. In my posts (not everywhere, but just my posts) I was wondering if it were possible to change my links to be bold rather than underlined, and colored? How can I do this and have it apply to all posts but not necessarily on the home page or navigation?

I wanted the “featured posts” to show above the blog posts on the home page. I’m not sure what I did wrong, but now suddenly I can no longer see blog posts on the front page. Have tried debugging and following code progression, but no luck. I even tried to add a new set of fields to the customizer (Kirki) but the elara_get_option() function won’t recognize the variable I’m passing in. Pulling my hair out! I really would like to be able to display just three blog posts (of a category I select) on the home page, UNDER the featured categories. Possible?

I’ve created category descriptions that include paragraphs. However, when I add to the visual editor, the <p> tags are stripped and the paragraphs don’t then display on my site. If I enter the code manually, then save without switching to the visual editor, they will save. However, the moment I switch to the visual editor, I lose all <p> tags.

Is there any way of overcoming this?

I posted in the main Lyrathemes forum about this issue and was told that my menu nav appears fine on mobile, but it’s still not working for me.

When I try to click the three little lines that are supposed to bring up my menu/categories (productivity, lifestyle, mental health, etc.) this function is completely unresponsive on mobile. I notice the same with my drop down bar at the top that is supposed to pull up the search bar. That is also unresponsive. I’ve tried this on both Safari and Chrome and no luck.

I just put up a header image on the home page of my site (“the printable mental health resource you need”) and I would like to make the font for the caption and the button bigger. Is there any way I can do this? It can be a little hard to read on some of my smaller devices.

I’m putting together a very simple one page website and I’m trying to remove the header and footer as well as the search bar in top right corner and home page button in top right. I have removed all of the widgets and added additional CSS code:

#header, #footer {
display: none;
} 
#site-header .header-navigation-wrapper, #site-header .mobile-nav-toggle {
	display: none;
}

however the header and footer are still showing through when I preview page. When I go into Customize there is no Footer option and there is only a Header Image option. I’m wondering if there is anything else I can do?

I am getting this message ‘updating failed. the response is not a valid json response’ whenever I am updating a blogpost. After deactivating all the plugins we found that elara theme is causing this. Could you please help me sort this problem as I prefer using elara free theme.

I’d like my single posts to be a little narrower, but only the area with the heading, pictures, text, etc.; the side per se (with the sidebar and menu) should have the same size as ‘home’ etc.

I tried…

.single-post .entry-singular-wrapper {
     margin-left: 200pt;
     max-width: 637pt;
}

…and it looked good on my desktop, but the mobile version doesn’t work with that.

I also tried…

.single-post .default-background-color {
    max-width: 1050px;
}

…and here the mobile version looks fine, but the menu and the sidebar are also made smaller / narrower.

I am using the Elara free theme. I am new to WordPress and have no coding experience.

How do I hide the Widget Title in my footer? Specifically the title “Categories”

Unlike the Text widget, I can’t just leave the Title box blank.

I am a beginner WordPress user and am trying to use the Elara free theme. I just switched to this theme from OceanWP free theme in case that matters.

How do I add the frontpage banner slider that I see on the demo?

When I click Front Page>Banner/Slider>Banner then the banner appears. However the image doesn’t rotate (slide) through different posts, which is what I want. If I switch and click Front Page>Banner/Slider>Posts Slider then the banner disappears. I do have a Category selected and 3 posts in the category.

I need help removing a few widgets that have appeared on the homepage sidebar without me putting them there. I am using the Elara free theme. I have gone to appearance>widgets, and also appearance>customise>widgets. In neither can I find the “extra” widgets showing so I really don’t know what other options I have to remove them.

For a little bit of context:
my initial issue seemed to be related to Gutemberg plugin messing up with my Widget page. While I was trying to solve that with my hosting service provider, those “ghost widgets” appeared.

I have had my host provider try to deal with that but they say they can’t remove it as it seems to be an issue related to WordPress or the theme itself. I have also contacted the theme support team and they have recommended I place my query in this forum.

Hi! First off I want to say thank you so much to Steven C for answering all of my questions via email last week. Unfortunately, I’ve run into a few more issues again:

1) I can’t seem to get my search bar re-centered on the right side widget.

2) I am also having issues with my thumbnails not?adhering to my blog. I’ve tried to resize them at least 10x and nothing has worked. I’m not quite sure if it is a coding issue or not. I’ve tried to delete the widget and add it back, but I haven’t?been that successful. I downloaded the regenerate plugin but there are some pictures it won’t resize. I followed the instructions to re-do the process clicking the checkbox to not regenerate those that had already been processed and it keeps saying “There was an error regenerating this attachment. The error was:
There has been a critical error on your website.”

3) The “Pinterest” symbol above my recipes is not aligned with my other social media icons. Any reason why this may be happening?

4) How do I get my footer to look like the Elara free theme?

5) How do I add in the Instagram feed similar to Elara Pro?

6) How do I decrease the amount of space in between paragraphs on my “about me” widget?

I know these are many questions, so I apologize in advance, but I’m happy to give permission to someone as an admin because I have to have my blog up very soon. So help is definitely urgent! I am still in my beginning phase so it says coming soon.
