]]>I inherited a site running under PHP 5.4x, using the Enigma theme version 2.3.1. Since PHP, WordPress and the theme need to be updated, I created a development copy of the site locally, to test under PHP 8. I was able to upgrade the theme, but virtually all of the custom home page layout, for example, is gone. No slider, no “services” �� it didn’t even seem to preserve the existing slider and service data. I could add new sliders and services in the Theme Options, but even then they never displayed on the home page.
How can I restore the home page functionality I lost? Do I just need to find another theme and rebuild the site?

In two of our sites bdp-bg.net and studio-bdp.eu we use the same theme and it is Enigma.
When I try to edit through the theme of any of the options on the site, when trying to save the changes on the site, the message is displayed:

For bdp-bg.net, I have enabled the debug mode in the WordPress system, and when performing the actions above, the following error is logged:

This error is generated by the theme-dependent IS-theme-companion plugin. If we turn it off temporarily, these errors will not be generated, but the site will not look the way it currently does. Since the error is generated by the mentioned plugin it is best to be addressed by you, as its web developers.

]]>Near the bottom of the theme’s pages, between the partners area & the footer, there is an area which shows placeholder text, fake blog entries, fake Flickr pictures and the dev’s info. I wish to either change or remove it. I do own the Enigma Pro theme, not the free version. (This problem persists on every page.)
When updated to 6.0 and above, our theme loses all the features. I “rolled back” to 5.35 and all is well now. How to I fix this so I can update as I know many plugins may stop working on this older version. I have NO tech background lol. So please inform me the easiest way to go about this, thanks so much!!

When we switch to a default WP theme the error is gone, so it must come from Enigma Theme.

]]>After upgrading the Enigma theme from version 4.1 to the latest version 7.52 the homepage was wrecked. After working on it for many hours (working on one area at a time), I finally was able been able to rebuild the slider, but now the Portfolio section is only showing the section title and none of the four portfolio items I set up. All fields are filled in for each portfolio item, including a portfolio name, an image, the URL to the image, and the link to go to when clicked.
Can anyone help me get this area restored?

Hi- this site has been using Enigma for years specifically for the Theme Options for the Homepage. The slider, the services, etc…with this update they are gone, will not show. I uploaded the IS-Theme-Companion and all these features show in Customizer but will not actually publish or show any changes on site or in preview. I deactivated every single plugin and reactivated, deleted any that were not needed, deactivated all again and reactivated and still no improvement. I changed the home page to the Shop as it is a working site and needed something somewhat attractive for folks to land on. Please restore those features or help me restore those features.

I have an old WordPress site using WordPress 5.1.8 & Enigma 6.0.5.
From Appearance->Customize->Theme Options->Typography Settings, which could let me edit ��Logo Font Style��, ��Header Menu Font Style��, ��Theme Title Font Style�� and ��Theme Description Font Style��.
Recently I build a new site with the latest Enigma 7.49. I couldn��t found “Typography Settings” and those settings. Any additional CSS or plugins to fix this?

We had a webpage, with very old wordpress and used very old Enigma version.
At first, I updated the wordpress, it was fine, but Enigma theme has problems, the customize page didn worked. Ok, then I refreshed the Enigma theme.
The customize page seems fine now, but every sections disappeared from the home page.
We had theme slider, services block, portfolio block and footer call-out what vanished.
Content rebuilded, and blocks enabled, but its not visible, its also cant see in customize page preview.
I browsed the support topics, tried the tips (for example, back to original versions, switch off is-comapnion, refresh, switch back) but I couldnt fix it.
Could you help..?
First issue I am having is with the contact information in the header and the logo. Depending on the device you view the site on it lines up incorrectly.

Since Enigma was updated to version 7.3.1, when the starter-content folder was added, I have lost the left and right margins of my Home with the text filling all the available space.
This only happens on my Home page, the other pages are correct. My Home is a static, full-width page.
Because of the problem I’m still using Enigma 7.3, which is fine with the width of the Home page. Any additional CSS to fix this?

I am not wanting to disable the breadcrumbs on my pages but I do want to hind them from the public view please. They are displayed on my product but don’t want them to display on any page.
Do have the buttons to enable and disable, but they do not work after adding code from a while ago. So if there is some CCS, that would be great.

I asked this 6 months ago, and never got a reply. It’s closed for replies now, and a handful of updates have come through, but my phone number is still split in half under the social media options section.
The phone number that displays from the Social Options on the top right of the site splits in half, putting it on 2 lines. It seems to be based off of the size of my email address. If I shorten my email address by 2 letters, everything formats correctly. Same goes for shortening my phone number by 2. My email is 24 characters long, and my phone number is 12 characters long with the “-” in it. It used to look correctly many versions ago.
I see the issue in Chrome and Edge, but it looks fine on Safari or my Android Chrome browser. Do you think adjusting the font size css for that section 1 or 2 pts smaller might fix it?

The menu is now vertical rather than the horizontal menu it had prior, I can’t edit my sliders on the home page and it also is not showing them in the Theme editor for me to delete them or edit them, this is also the same issue I am having with the Services section and it is not displaying any image in the circles.
hi! I updated Enigma theme and plug-ins and I lost slider images, services, etc. My menu is now vertical. I have read these posts and got the slider to show up after I changed homepage to template, but I lost all of my original services and slider data and phone number, etc. How do I get it back? I did a Updraft backup right before I updated theme and plug-ins and blew everything up. Thanks!

Thank you very much for this very nice theme that I have been using for five years.
By changing the hosting server, I updated the Enigma theme (version 2.5!) To the most recent version (7.1.7). I have some questions.
First question. The site title and slogan are more central than in the old version that I used on an old version of my site (https://degaulle.lyc.ac-amiens.fr/). In addition, the top menu is narrower. I cannot change these settings. How to put the title and the slogan further to the left and enlarge the menu to use a larger page width?
Second question. The second active line of the top menu is thinner than the first, there is a space between the second active menu line and the submenus, which means that if you move the mouse too slowly, the submenu disappears . How can I solve this problem?
Third question. I liked the old version of the appearance of the submenus (arrows and white text). How can I change it in the new version of Enigma?
Fourth question. How to change the font size of the title and the text in the slider?
