I have another admin who is telling me using the widgets provided from the theme on my home page (front page) (I am using the faith theme), is a potential for the website to fail. I will paste in what was said:
“Looking at the current website design, there is actually no content on the home page.? All content that appears is created using theme based column widgets, which although work in the short term, have the potential to overwrite all pages with the theme design making every page look identical.? This will also cause the site to fail if the theme is ever changed or the default layout for number of columns/headers/footers change, which often happens when a theme or the WordPress engine get updated.
In short, the way the current site is designed has several points of failure that make me very worried. There is zero reason why the content is in theme column widgets and not actually on the home page itself. Not only does this make ensuring it works across devices difficult, it will cause problems trying to update the theme or WordPress engine when security updates are released.
I understand that the part that can be seen looks like it’s working, but the reality is, the backend stuff is not when a site is designed like this.? I’m not sure when Staci moved to the widget layout, but I would suggest moving away from that as soon as possible even if that means using a previous version of the homepage.? The additions she made such as the second calendar plugin or pop-up plugin would still be available with all the content that currently exists.”
Please help as I don’t want a failed website but I really like the default widget based home page!

]]>Greetings!
I have the need to frequently update, and re-upload, a table into our Member Contacts page.
–> Temporary password for this page, for your use: Hello_60093
I love that in WordPress, I can simply cut and paste from my Excel sheet into the Editor, and a standard Table Block is formed. The text is overly large for good display. So when I edit (under Block–>Styles–>Typography) and choose “Small,” it looks great in the Editor window:
However, it does not appear the same way in the published page. Something in the published page style settings seems to be “overriding” the style settings in the Editor.
I am a real WordPress noobie but maybe there is something I need to do or learn to get this right. BTW, when I try to insert and use the “Flexible Table” block, I can’t cut/paste Excel sheet cells into it, otherwise I would have tried that block.
Many thanks for any advice!!

]]>Greetings. Firstly, thank you for creating a wonderful theme which our religious community has used for several years now. We are creating a password-protected area for several pages. Ideally, we would have a Member Area “landing page” with password protection and then 3 or 4 “child” or sub-pages which would only be accessible once the password was entered. Ideally the user would not have to re-enter the password for each individual “child” page after entering for the parent page. Is this possible? I could not achieve this in the page settings.
Many thanks!
]]>Hi Dumitru, Is it possible to transfer the Faith theme sidebar: .site-aside-wrapper from the left to the right side of the screen? I would greatly appreciate it if this were possible because it feels more convenient to read from the left to the right but with the sidebar on the left side, it doesn’t seem okay.
]]>Excellent theme from ?ilovewp? but after updating PHP I’ve got error with widget function code:

]]>I am using the Faith theme and would like to make the Home page slider loop rather than end at the last slide. I can’t seem to find a control to turn the loop on. Any help will be appreciated.
]]>Hello I have built a site using the Faith theme. It has worked perfectly until I have updated the theme to the latest version.
Now the sliders are not working as they were before. When you first log in the sliders move forward in the usual way through the 5 featured photos but then the slider stops at the last photo & does not resume movement automatically. The arrows work in both directions but the slider only moves when the arrows are clicked manually.
]]>I just took over this site (created by someone else) and found on the home page a large white space with large black lettering appearing just above the footer columns and below the featured page columns. It appears to be tied to a page labeled “Front Page,” which seems to require something filled in as a title, hence the text. Moving that page to draft does not remove the white space and text from the home page. I can add things to that white space, but I can’t shrink it in size, eliminate the “title” text, or even adjust the size of the title text. I’m just unclear how that white space fits into the theme (I can’t see it mentioned in the help video or documentation) and how to control it any better (or just get rid of it). Thanks for any help that can be offered.
]]>I’ve been using this theme for several years, so first let me say how much we love it. It has been the perfect fit for us. Thanks so much for all you have done for creating it!
Lately, on the front page scroll, the ‘Read More’ button is being pushed down too far. Often times, I don’t even see it – even in full screen. Prior to a week or two ago, we never had this issue. I’m not sure if we applied an upgrade or something else that has made this happen. Regardless, I’m just looking shorten the lead text so everyone can be sure to see the ‘Read More’ button and get to the information on the full page.
Any guidance you can provide would be appreciated immensely! Thanks in advance!

]]>Hello Dumitru,
Could you please let me know how I can get the featured images of my blog post to align properly on a mobile phone? Secondly, I noticed that the featured images failed to attach to any of the social shares. If you click the share button, the link will be generated, but the placeholder for the featured image will be blank. Please, how do I fix this issue?
Thanks
]]>Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the ilovewp.org team for the continued development and features that their Faith theme receive.

Well done team.

Hello. I recently encountered an error. If you type a non-existent address in the address bar, then on page 404, in addition to the text “Not found”, it also gives a list of errors of this type: “Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function faith_categorized_blog() in ” and then a list of site paths in which, including, there is also a way for 404 themes.
Tell me, can this be fixed somehow at the theme level, or is this a bug specifically on my site?
I tested such requests a couple of months ago and everything was fine. I don’t know what caused this, a wordpress update or a theme update.
I have a problem with “featured page” section. I’m looking for a way to add a categories page to this section. I’m searched in PHP code but didn’t find it.
Somebody can help me?
Hi, thanks again for this great theme and all your effort.
I just updated our site to faith 1.2.9 and since then the title and subtitle is no longer shown. (Before it was shown on the right of the church-logo)
Do you have any idea?
Kind regards, Michael

]]>I am using the Faith theme to create a church website. I have gone to Appearance>Customize>Home Page settings and selected static page and selected the ‘home’ page for the homepage. When viewing the preview page from the Customize section, I see a homepage that looks like the faith theme (https://demo.ilovewp.com/?theme=faith) meaning it has the logo, slideshow and featured pages at the top, and featured pages with thumbnails at the bottom. But when I go to the live website, my homepage looks like a basic blog. I can’t figure out why it looks different. Please note, this is my first time building a website, I’m not an IT person, so please make explanations as simple as possible. Thank you!!!
