Pros:
1. visually nice
2. provides some theme enhancements (sliders, widget visibility etc)
Cons:
1. support depending on the random mood of the developer (not always with a professional behavior)
2. updates not guaranteed at time, which may cause incompatibilities with the rest of your software. This theme makes heavy customization of your network and, as the developer said, a reason he cannot deliver quick updates is because it has a special structure, so he needs to rewrite many files after each Buddypress update. Which is worse is that the developer doesn’t set a deadline and honor it, but uses false promises (for ex: in two days there will be an update) and that lasts for months.
3. maybe a “one man show”. If the developer says “I could not do that, because of a health problem…”, probably there is no team behind him and you cannot trust this theme for a professional network.
I finally preferred to switch to another theme, because he started working on an update in November 2015 and, at the time I am writing these lines, he did not yet finished (more than 7 months waiting). That had begun to cause many incompatibilities.
I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS THEME. YOU CANNOT TRUST THAT DEVELOPER.

I was looking for a responsible theme, that I could fit to a specific design (I’m not a web wizzard) I found the firmasite theme to be easy customizable (portal.spd-fn.de). The developer gives reliable and fast and friendly support.
After a while I switched to premium theme from firmasite and am even more satisfied.

This quickly became my favorite framework for Bootstrap to use across websites.
It’s easy to use, but if there’s any questions or requests there’s an active support forum (where I just left a question and got a reply within an hour or 2).
I really needed something that was very lean, had some basic helpful options though for development, and looked good.

Firmasite is the best theme I’ve found that not only has great support for Buddypress and bbPress, but is also highly customizable and has fantastic mobile support. Even though I’m only using the Free version, I still got great support from ünsal. As the web administrator for a large, international, fan club, Firmasite gave me all the tools I needed to take my site to the next level.
If you want to leverage your bootstrap knowledge, Firmasite is the theme for you! I highly recommend it for anyone looking to build a modern responsive WordPress based website, from simple personal blogs all the way to heavily used social networks.

I saw another reviewer comment that most of these four star reviews must have been paid. Well, we can’t speak for those folks but you can know for sure that we were not paid. We are posting this review because we are extremely happy to have found the Firmasite theme! Not only is this fantastic theme responsive (looks great on our phone) but it also adds some fantastic styling options to the rather bland defaults that are standard with Buddypress. The theme’s Pro version offers even more options by integrating Woocommerce support. Additionally, anytime we have needed support for our custom configuration, Unsal quickly answered our questions in his support forum. Wish we had this type of support for some of the other key plugins and themes that we work with!

This theme has a lot of problems and is pretty bland. That’s why I was really shocked to read some of these reviews. If it sounds too good to be true…! The layout is okay but there are problems with both the mobile and desktop versions.

I’ve used a lot of themes. Hundreds of them. There are a lot of really good ones out there, a few “meh” and some downright stinkers. Many themes need some fine adjustment to give you what you want, but this theme delivers fast response and great layout even with no fiddling. Install and walk away, it looks great.
The support for this theme is also excellent, no nonsense. Straight forward answers and a nice collection of “how do I …” posts from other users, all with easy to understand replies.
This is one of my favourite themes, and I’ll be using it wherever I can in future.

I’m a wordpress noob and learned everything I know using one particular ‘brand’ of themes. I decided to try out the firmasite theme for a specific non-profit and was really confused as to the location of some features. I posted to their technical forum and got a response quickly, even though the feature in question is a wordpress option and not a theme option.
I am using the FREE version, so not really entitled to any support which makes me doubly impressed.
Highly recommend this theme for service and support alone PLUS it’s got a great, clean look and is easy to work with.

The GPL base theme provides a great foundations for any WordPress / Buddypress site. Once you take the time to explore the possibilities available with use of a child theme then you will not be disappointed. Out of the box, this is a very user friendly theme and the basic customisation options should cover the bulk of anyone’s theme needs. One of the best free contributions I have come across in recent times. Theme support via a custom forum has been impeccable.

I was looking for a theme with bbPress support and I discovered FirmaSite: a free theme with full support for bbPress and BuddyPress.
Simple to set up and integrated with a slideshow.
And if you want to customize it you can easily create a child theme (like I did on https://www.jqueryitalia.org )
I recommend it to everyone!

Very nice theme! Easy to set up and it meet all current standards and needs for good looking and functional website build with WordPress (and BuddyPress too). I am currently using it on few blogs, like https://recipetv.org and some others too.
There is also many skins to use if you wish different color, and hips of different google fonts…

Firmasite is the ultimate theme for all. It is simple, elegant and you can customise it as you wish. It is really powerful theme for blogging, magazine, online store type websites. It has rich colours with excellent white background.
