I’m a new WP user trying to get familar with the platform (there’s a LOT to assimilate here), and am working with the Fluida theme.
Under Appearance->Customize->Landing Page->Featured Icon Blocks, if I choose “Excerpt” block content, it’s pulling much more text from the linked pages than I want, and the boxes are all different heights (screen shot link below).
Isn’t there some way to define the lenght of the excerpts, or tell the boxes to all be the same hight regardless of content, or even hand-type the content text?
I’d appreciate any help.

Hello all,
Does someone know why I don’t see certain icons on my blog (like the hatch icon for searching) for visitors, but only when logged in as admin?
I also have it since a few months that I post articles and sometimes they are not shown to visitors, but to me; even though they are definitely published. Then I always clear clear the cache and minified CSS/JS and then the article is displayed even to visitors not logged in.
But unfortunately with the icons this “trick” does not work.
I also can upload a picture.
My wordpress theme is Fluida Version: 1.8.7.1 by Cryout Creations.
Thanks and many greetings Mirella

Hello, Support,
At–
Customizing ? Post Information
Featured Image
–I have “Featured Image Height” set to “0”, but the single-post images are still not full size.
Can you assist?
Thanks,
Michael
I was setting up Fluida and at some point, the featured images in the posts stopped appearing.
Themes > Customize > Post information > Featured image > Use Featured Images in Header = ON
I’ve uninstalled the theme (deleted it) and reinstalled (installed & activated) but it doesn’t fixed the issue (but then again, all the customizations I made were still there so there must be some data left despite uninstalling…).
I’ve also tried adding & deleting the header media image (Site identity > Header media), but that didn’t make a difference; when there is no header media image, the posts still show no featured image at the top.
Any suggestions (I’m not a techie so please, step-by-step) on how I might fix this problem? Thanks.
Hi,
There appears to have been a bug introduced in version 1.8.6. When using the classic editor you used to be able use a ‘Featured Image’ as a background image. This now longer appears to be the case. Although the featured image is still there in admin, the live site no longer shows the image in the background.
Thanks.
Hello team Cryout Creations
We found a small bug:
When using internal links (e.g. go to some place on the page...
), some of them work and some do not.
It looks as if the Back to Top script is interfering.
See for example this test page:
https://ici.radio-canada.ca/projets/test-link-to-same-page/
Note: the first 3 links are internal links.
Hallo. I’m having a problem in my wordpress gallery.
Depending on the number of images and their size, there is a huge space between the columns like you can see in the link or in this print.
Is there any way to reduce this spacing with gallery ID? I can’t use the page ID, because it will mess up the spacing of all the galleries on that page. I already tried.
.page-id-13530 .gallery {
text-align: center;
}
.page-id-13530 .gallery .gallery-item {
max-width: 50px;
}

Hello!
Is there a way to make widget location dependent on screen size?
There is an event widget that is located on the right sidebar, but I would like it to move automatically to the top when on mobile screen so that it stays the first thing visitor sees.
Thank you in advance!
Anastasia
Hi, I’ve noticed that when viewing my page on a mobile device there is a big gap between the header image and the page content. This does not seem to happen every time, or on every mobile device, but it happens often and means that when people arrive on the page they could think it is empty, not knowing to scroll down for the content.
I’ve already tried various methods and CSS to fix this (though I’m a novice at these things) and had no luck. Can you help me with a way to fix this?
Here is a screenshot from my phone showing the gap, sometimes it is smaller than this but sometimes it’s larger so the content is nowhere on the screen at all: https://rockandrolltraffic.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/r.jpg
Many thanks in advance for the help,
Cameron.
Not sure if this is fluida theme-related or buddypress related, but I’m baffled why the text formatting changes from the bp activity areas to other areas of the bp system.
Screenshots:
My member dashboard as the rest of the site text is formatted:
https://songdove.fa-ct.com/stuff/bpissues/greenlinksformattedmemdash.jpg
The main activity page with a different set of formatting:
https://songdove.fa-ct.com/stuff/bpissues/bluelinksformattedsiteactivity.jpg
The profile activity tab with the same blue formatting:
https://songdove.fa-ct.com/stuff/bpissues/bluelinksformattedactivitytab.png
Every other tab in the profile however, is the same as the rest of the site:
https://songdove.fa-ct.com/stuff/bpissues/greenlinksformattedothertabs.jpg
The blue formatting is tighter than the green formatting, but as you can see, when bp uses the blue, it doesn’t merely change it for bp, it also changes it for my sitewide sidebars. I clicked around the rest of the sitewide menu at the top, and this blue formatting doesn’t show up anywhere else, only inside bp and so far it seems to be only the activity areas.
Help?

Using the free version of the theme, so I suppose I don’t have much to complain about. However, here is what is happening.
The default layout for my site is “2 column, right sidebar.”
For certain static pages, I prefer “2 column, left sidebar” or Single column (depending on the page. And this was working for me just fine until a recent update.
Now, no matter what I do, the layout always reverts back to the default whenever I save the page. Even on pages that were functioning fine with the left sidebar and single column layouts, once I edit anything on the page and hit publish, the layout reverts to right sidebar.
I am guessing something was changed in a recent update that is causing this to happen as you still promote the ability to change layout on static pages. Just wondering if this change was intentional or not.

Guys,
I’ve got a problem that I’m unable to resolve by myself. Since Fluida’s 1.7.0 update (and so on) I had problems with TABLES, problems that caused my need to rollback to 1.6.0.2.
The problem is that before 1.7.0 first row of each table had darker background, second one white, third darker and so on:
https://www.voxpc.it/wp-content/old.png
After 1.7.0, that changed in this way:
https://www.voxpc.it/wp-content/new.png
Seems just a little change, but I’ve got a site that uses single row tables jsut like boxes, and darker background in the first row is a must have.
How to update to latest Fluida version mantaining the backgrounds alternation how it was before 1.7.0? Can you please help me?
Thanks a lot in advance

I started to build this site and placed a couple of featured images on certain pages – worked fine. But now, for any new page I create, I can’t seem to get my featured image to load up even though it seems to attach OK on the editing page.

I developed a client’s website using this theme, and there are a few things that don’t seem to be functioning properly when viewed on the Safari browser via an iPad.

Also, when viewed from a mobile, the logo icon sits on top of the image slider at the top.
Can anyone offer some assistance?
Everything looks good with one exception: Unlike the Sliding Header on the Fluida Demo, my Sliding Header does not extend all the way to the right and left. Instead, there is a margin of white space to the left and right of the Sliding Header images. Does anyone know why this might be and how to correct it? Also, when viewed on a cellphone, some of the Sliding Header is obscured by text. Many thanks!–Richard
I chose Fluida because I would like my site to look EXACTLY like the Fluida demo with three sliding headers, buttons on the sliding headers, etc., etc. but using my images and words, of course. Question: Is there a fast-track way of achieving that without having to start from scratch? I have uploaded the two recommended plug-ins: Cryout Serious Slider and Force Regenerate Thumbnails. I have also read all the support forum posts and looked at the sites of all those who have asked for help. None of them, as far as I can tell, have used the Sliding Faders function. I am also wondering if I need to upgrade to the plus version of Fluida to get that functionality. Any help would be much appreciated.
I’m seeing different sized images being served on IE11 (IE11.590.17134.0 on W10 64bit), which means they look blocky. The second image on the page (Old Market Square) shows a 300×225 image on IE, looking a bit blurry, and a 467×350 image on other browsers. Is this an IE quirk or a problem with the theme? Any ideas on how to fix it?
