Is it possible to get the latest post to be shown as a header/background?

]]>Hi,
Since yesterday I’ve been trying to upload my logo and header to my blog. Currently I have my logo published so you can see it in acomernoselmundo.com. I’ve respected the suggested size 192x192px but it does not actually work. I have tested different sizes and resolutions (now it is 72). I would like to know how to fix the low quality (both in header image and logo). When I upload the image I can see it properly but then in the preview I start to see it blurry. Thanks in advance.

Can someone tell me how I can ad a background image to my pages?
I would like it as a watermark in my content area.
I got it now as a Picture but thats not good for my SEO
Thanks in advance
Peter.

]]>Hi, the theme is great but there’s some spacing issues in the entry meta under the post title.
How can i fix this?
Best regards
]]>Having the same issue as a previous post that wasn’t resolved — when I have anything in the “Site title” box, it shows up in the Header, even if I uncheck the “Display Site Title and Tagline” box in “Site Identity”. Any fixes?
]]>Hi there,
I am from the VaultPress team https://vaultpress.com/ . Our security scanning engine notices this issue:
* File: /themes/fooding/assets/js/sidebarEffects.js
* This line:
// https://coveroverflow.com/a/11381730/989439
This link is pointing to a malware site as it’s reported in a few other places also:
* https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/coveroverflow.com
Can you please review and delete this line if possible? Because it might trigger the false-positive threat detection.
Thanks and cheers,
Dat
Hi I’m trying to find help with the Fooding theme as the front page i created wont set is a static page, it just keeps showing the blog. I have seen other fooding theme websites showing another page rather then a blog so no it can be done, but not not working in settings and reading. Please help.
]]>Great theme! I’m having a problem where I can’t get it to change to using the static homepage. When that setting is checked, it just remains on the recent posts view for the homepage instead. Any idea how to fix this?
]]>How do I make all pages, posts and custom post-types full width?
Thanks
]]>Hi there,
When I am on the article the image appears correctly but does not appear on the home page. I have not found the option to display the image on the blog. thank you.
]]>I am trying to hide the site title because it is in the header image but when unchecking the option to show site title and tagline. They both disappear on the live preview but not on the actual site and then they come back on the live preview? Any ideas?
]]>Hello, when I select the option static start page, it still show the recent messages and not the start page I select. Is this a bug? Best, Edith
]]>@congthien Hey mate!
You recently helped me out with a fix for the widgets.php which has totally solved the issue and I thank you very much.
Another little problem is that the theme appears to not display the commenters name when comments are left on posts. The demo of the theme appears to do the same thing so I assumed it may have been intentional. Perhaps the idea was to rely on Gravatars to identify commenters. Fair enough but I would prefer to have the commenters name displayed myself. It’s not an urgent problem because I have come up with a fix for now by hacking the inc/template-tags.php to display the commenters name, see here: https://frugalonfood.soblog.me/hughies-restaurant-st-albans/
I am actually running a child theme on that site with Fooding as the parent obviously. My problem is that I haven’t been able to get overrides for template-tags.php to work in the child theme so I had to make the above mentioned edit in the parent theme which I will have to do again every time there is an update for the theme. So what I’m asking for is some help to override template-tags.php in a child theme or even better (FEATURE REQUEST!) modify fooding theme to display commenter names.
What do you think?
]]>Hi all,
So here’s the deal. Decided to use the Fooding themes built in recent posts widget because it looks great! But it displays the same date for every post, which happens to be the current date, rather than the date each post was actually posted on.
I’m guessing this will be a simple fix but a little beyond my mere skills. I have found the file (inc/widgets.php) that creates the widget but don’t have the coding skills to find and fix the issue.
Can someone help?
]]>When trying to tag my posts and then order them in a specific order on the home page, nothing changes.
I have tried giving one post a tag of “One” and the other “Two” and then order them in staff pick order. Nothing. I keep getting the latest post first.
Any ideas?
