Hi,

I am trying to use Block Video Popup proposed by Getwid, but it doesn’t work.

I think this error comes from FancyBox. This is the error that the browser sends : “Uncaught TypeError: n.fancybox.getInstance is not a function”.

However, I checked everything and all resources (jQuery, css… etc) seem to be loaded.

Do you have a suggestion? Thanks in advance, Georges

I’d like to reduce the height of the header so the header color gradient ends at a higher point and does not extend down into the body. I added a css to adjust parts of the header but impacts only the text placement, which was helpful to reduce wasted space, but not the background color height.

Working on a site that will have a static homepage but wants to use blog functionality for an articles page. But they don’t want people to be able to comment.

Do I have to actually remove code from the theme template? (single.php?)

Or am I supposed to build a page using blog-related blocks instead of relying on the blog templates that come with the theme?

Hi:
I’m working on the site I linked to – when I click links in the navigation bar the services link bounces up and down – occasionally the logo to the left does as well. It doesn’t happen every single time but does happen often, both when moving from page to page or reloading a page.

I wondered if my custom css was causing this so I tried removing all the custom CSS and it still happens.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, currently Getwid is using fonts delivered by Google fonts CDN. The current juristriction in Germany / Europe forbids this (https://www.taylorwessing.com/en/insights-and-events/insights/2021/12/vg-wiesbaden-prohibits-use-of-content-delivery-networks) and pages using Getwid can be warned off. Do you have a solution or workaround for this?

Thank you for this theme!

I want to be able to remove the padding / spacing between columns for a particular layout and per this article:https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/columns-block/ I should be able to do that. But I don’t see any controls below Color > Text & Background. Below that is Advanced. No access to padding or margins that I can find. Is this something NOT available in this theme?

I want to be able to have 3 columns with no spacing between that can be filled with color as addressed in this https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/24874

If it’s unavailable in Getwid Base is there CSS that could work?

Hello community,

I would like to increase the spacing between the Website Title and the mobile menu.
Currently, the page title “Gluecksinvestoren” is very close to the hamburger menu icon and looks not nice. How can we move that mobile menu a little more to the right side or increase the spacing to the title?

Of course, this issue only affects the mobile view (Chrome with Samsung S20 FE).

The main navigation in the header looked correct, until I switched it to be the Primary menu so I could edit it. Now, the desktop menu is 3 circles, and the choices are all flyouts, and the mobile is the 3 lines, but it doesn’t slide in properly.

How can I get it to behave like it used to?

Could you hel with that? You criated interesting theme, but it need to develop. i think sidebar is somthing that must have in Gatwid. Thanks!!!

Hello. I need some help removing the bottom padding below the phone image on this page: https://www.carmigo.io/

I’ve tried various things to try to get the phone edge to stop where the green ‘have a question’ block starts, and I can’t seem to remove the padding between the two sections.

Also, it looks like the Google font Poppins in on the page when I’m editing, but it’s not picking up on the live page. Is there something I need to do to get the Poppins font to load properly?

I searched blog setup in personnalizer or in a section “option of theme”. But I found nothing.

I did not make the site, I just intervene for that.

Hi, I am unable to update the Menu font from purple colour to my preferred pallete. Also in the blog section i want to edit the comment/ categories section to orange instead of purple.

I can set a background-image with background-attachment fixed – a kind of parallax effect.

I set it up for the background-image and it is fine on desktop, but on mobile and tablet the image will scroll with the html.

Or maybe someone have a workaround?

After editing many parts of stylesheets in theme editor, while site is working properly I can’t manage to edit the getwid blocks in the site. Most of the getwid blocks give this error and show nothing but a box in the editor: “Error loading block: Invalid parameter(s): attributes”

Would you please to take a look and help me fix them?

First, thanks for these amazing building tools and templates!
My “news” page is a normal page (not a post page) with a custom post type bloc. I created a custom post template that works as expected on for my news page.
The thing is if I hit an archive link from my news page via the tags (month, category, author…), the corresponding archive page displays the posts in the default “post page” layout.
I would like the archive pages to use the same custom template as my news page.
I can’t see an option to change the post page or archives layout.
Is there an easy way to do that?

I’m using an accordion on an FAQ page to show one collapsed question below the other.

Now I would like to link (from a different page) to one of these questions specifically, using an anchor.

Following the anchor, the FAQ page scrolls to the correct position to display that particular question but unfortunately it does not open the respective accordion.

Is there a way to make the linked to accordion open automatically?

I realize it is not only my problem, because I just noticed it is the same on your Getwid base demo : On each loading page, all menus are bouncing separately (some up and other down) as if they were looking for their right place…
It doesn’t last very long but it’s visually disturbing when everything else is displayed smoothly (entrance animations).
Specially visible with Chrome (Version 87.0.4280.88 + Mac OS 10.12.6), but also FF 84, Edge 87, Opera 73, and a little less on Safari 12.
How would it be possible to fix this ?

some icons I want to use via Font Awesome (e.g. the squared Instagram one: <i class=”fab fa-instagram-square”></i>, from https://fontawesome.com/icons/facebook-f?style=brands) won’t display.

Checking the source code, I see that apparently an older version of font awesome is being loaded:

<link rel='stylesheet' id='fontawesome-free-css' href='https://example.com/wp-content/plugins/getwid/vendors/fontawesome-free/css/all.min.css?ver=5.5.0' type='text/css' media='all'/>

The current version seems to be at least version 5.15 (https://fontawesome.com/changelog/latest).

Can you update the Font Awesome version in use for the theme or how can I update this easily without always loading two versions of the font (first yours, which is loaded via the theme, second mine, which I could add manually)?

First time poster. Love the theme for my news site: downup.io

I have a couple of questions:

1. I have some leftover space from removing the “continue reading button” on the main page that I want to get rid of.

2. I also want to get rid of the leftover lines at the bottom of the page posts when I got rid of the “next post and previous post” words.

3. I would also like to customize the dateline and byline — I just want to have the byline and the date, but I want to customize it to my liking.

Primary menu at top of page includes “Home” link though I did not add it to the menu definition in Appearance/Menus. That’s ok, I like having the link. But the link is wrong: it adds “/wordpress” to the site URL and, of course, that goes nowhere. How can I fix this?

I read something regarding adding it inside the header.php file but then I also read this might not be a good idea because if there should be a new version of the them, this might get overwritten.

How do I do it best?

Thanks for creating such a great theme. I’m having trouble with alignment in my single post pages. I have included a link to a sample post. Basically, since my single post page is aligned left, my simple share buttons plugin is also aligned left. I have tried changing its alignment in settings to center and right to no avail. I added a custom CSS .single .post {text-align: center} and it aligned everything, including the simple share buttons part, center. Is there a way I can somehow edit the theme to align left only the post part and everything else follows their own alignment?
