YouTube videos embedded through the usual “add media from URL” way are not correctly resized, as they are on most WordPress themes (like Twenty Seventeen). Instead they are embedded w/ the attributes width=”1200″ height=”675″.
]]>I’m a real beginner in setting up a WordPress site — I have decent experience as a user on the backend — but this is the first time I’m starting from scratch.
So: after I installed the Griddle theme, how do I set it up so that it resembles the screenshot advertisement for it? I go into Page Builder and there seem to be all these options for columns and modules but nothing that looks like the advertised default.

]]>The category links with a sub-menu in the main menu don’t behave as links should–they just open the sub-menu when clicked, so there’s no way to actually travel to the parent category page. How do I override this in a child theme?
