I’ve modified a menu multiple times to get it just right. However, the only way I can consistently see the correct menu in my pages is to choose it by name from “Classic Menus” at the bottom of the “Select Menu” dropdown list. There is a long list of items in the regular “Menu” choices above the classic menus that all have the exact same name. If I select one of them, a previous iteration of the menu is displayed that is no longer defined under Appearance | Menus. The list grows longer every time I modify the menu. Also, every time I update a menu, I have to update each of the pages where it’s used by selecting the latest iteration from the “Classic Menus” options. (There are no duplicate names there.) Shouldn’t the modified menu be updated automatically in every navigation block where it is selected?
I’m using WordPress 6.0.2 with the Gridiculous theme and very few plugins, all of which are up-to-date. PHP is at version 5.6.40. which I’m hesitant to upgrade without knowing any of the site’s history.
Has anyone else seen this problem or know of a solution? I’d appreciate any help.

If you click on a parent link on the menu for this theme, the links unfortunately don’t work.
However it does work on your demo site, see https://demos.bavotasan.com/gridiculous/ and click on ‘Sample Page’ parent option and it will take you to the Sample Page.

Please could you let me know how I can entirely switch off the Mobile version of the site.
The mobile version has display issues that I don’t know how to fix, so would just like the responsive desktop version of the site to display on mobile devices instead.

]]>Hello, I still really love your theme. I created a CHILD theme right now for it because I need to solve a problem. But… maybe you already tackled it. So here I am to ask for support.
In the mobile version (we are testing it by different versions of Android) the third level of the MENU is not visibie.
So: you can see the first level and the second level, but if you click to see the third level, what you can see on the computer is not visibile on the mobile version.
Can you take a look on this site using a smartphone and tell me if there is something we can do to fix it? The child theme was create right to solve this problem and to try to modify the theme for another issue (related to header image + search box).

If you tap on “chi siamo” (first level) and after that you tap on “insegnanti e collaboratori” (second level) the third level doesn’t appear. If you do the same from a computer, everything is ok.
The problem is active on your original theme and I created a child theme to try to fix it. Hope you already fixed it in some way…

I would like to add the Registration and Login/Logout links (side-by-side) in the blank area to the right side of the Site Description statement in the header, above the slider.
However, when I add the following code after the header statement, it drops the links below the Site Description, in list format, rather than beside the header statement.

]]>I have spent hours trying to make social media work with this theme. To no avail. Either the icons don’t show up anywhere or they are scattered on the page. One plugin placed the icons and they were out of alignment.
I wonder if you can point me to a plugin that works with this theme? All I want is to allow my visitors to share the url on FB and the others. Any suggestions would be great. Or if anyone has a gridiculous site using social media plugins, if you could let me know what you did to make them work, that would be great as well.
I really like this theme for a number of reasons, but not being able to connect my users to the outside world is kind of a bummer.
]]>I have found what seems like a bug. When I go to any page and come back to the home page, often, but not every time, the three textboxes under the header return what is in the third box.
I have found this theme to not work with YouTube plugins or videos very well but have found a workaround. I have inserted a YouTube link in each text box and have the plugin YouTube operating in the background. Most of the time when I return to the home page the three boxes show the three separate videos. But like I said, often all three are the same video, which happens to be the third one.
I am not using any cache plugins. Not sure what the reason for this is but a workaround would be great!

In other words, I don’t want to use the header image for the logo becauese I’d like to use that for a collage. I saw a response to someone else who wanted to do the same thing and the theme author mentioned that this was a feature of Gridiculous Pro. I have Gridiculous Pro through WordPress.com but I don’t see a way to to accomplish this. Can you tell me how to do this?

]]>I am working on a child theme of Gridiculous but I seem to have run into an issue with the Off Canvas menu. Im gathering that the problem started when I tried moving my #site-navigation menu to the sidebar (normally it appears in the header in desktop view).

Sorry for the mess since this site needs alot of work. The first menu at the sidebar (“Our Events”, “Art Show”, etc…) is the menu that should switch to the mobile menu when viewed on a tablet or smartphone.
On my tests (tablet and Android smartphone), I do see that the menu is no longer in the sidebar. However, the mobile menu buttons (both for search and the menu button) do not fire off when pressed. How do I get it to work more than halfway.?

I’ve recently changed my theme to Gridiculous and it’s looking pretty good so far, except for one big problem. There’s a large gap that has suddenly appeared above every video that i’ve embedded in past posts. Nothing has changed in the “Edit” window, there’s the usual space between the text and the embed code, but now all videos have a pretty big space above the videos – not below. My client wanted to be able to see the links so she wanted the underlines. I changed the css code to do that but now the titles for the teasers on the front page (which she understandably loves) also underline. I couldn’t find in the inspector the actual code for the teaser titles. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I installed a version of Gridiculous that has problems with the menu scroll in the mobile version on Android. I need to know if the current version of Gridiculous (1.0.9) fixes that problem.
The theme is very good for my needs but is not usable on Android devices.

I built a site using Gridiculous:
I would like to make the content and widget areas opaque if possible, but can’t find the css control to do this.
Currently the background is transparent, which means that on a smaller screen the ‘mud splatter’ background to the right moves underneath the content making it difficult to read.
