Hi:
I’m trying to update a site to PHP 8.2, was previously on 7.4 which is currently EOL. Does the Gutenix theme support or have any plans to support 8.2? Or is something else causing this issue?
The site is crashing after updating with this fatal error.
Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot access offset of type string on string in /var/www/allen/wp-content/themes/gutenix/assets/css/dynamic/dynamic-css.php:46 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/allen/wp-content/themes/gutenix/inc/modules/dynamic-css/cherry-x-dynamic-css.php(386): include() #1 /var/www/allen/wp-content/themes/gutenix/inc/modules/dynamic-css/cherry-x-dynamic-css.php(118): CX_Dynamic_CSS->get_inline_css() #2 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(308): CX_Dynamic_CSS->add_inline_css() #3 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(332): WP_Hook->apply_filters() #4 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action() #5 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/script-loader.php(2194): do_action() #6 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(308): wp_enqueue_scripts() #7 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(332): WP_Hook->apply_filters() #8 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action() #9 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/general-template.php(3049): do_action() #10 /var/www/allen/wp-content/themes/gutenix/header.php(20): wp_head() #11 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/template.php(783): require_once('...') #12 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/template.php(718): load_template() #13 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/general-template.php(48): locate_template() #14 /var/www/allen/wp-content/themes/gutenix/page.php(15): get_header() #15 /var/www/allen/wp-includes/template-loader.php(106): include('...') #16 /var/www/allen/wp-blog-header.php(19): require_once('...') #17 /var/www/allen/index.php(17): require('...') #18 {main} thrown in?/var/www/allen/wp-content/themes/gutenix/assets/css/dynamic/dynamic-css.php?on line?46
Also, getting a lot of similar warnings for the same dynamic-css file:

Thanks in advance!

]]>Hello. Blocks that have Twitter embedded are being cut off in mobile, so only a small snippet of the tweet is shown. When it is shown correctly, if it refreshes the post a few times, the error happens. I disabled all plugins and it didn’t work. I put the default Twenty theme and it fixed it, so I think it’s a theme error. Can you resolve please?

Grazie in anticipo.
Hello, I need to adapt the sizes of the featured image to a different size.
I have two problems:
1. The featured image does not adapt.
My images are 1920×1080 and the formula of the template is different.
I have verified that it is given the size of 1080×820 with the class=”attachment-gutenix-thumb-post size-gutenix-thumb-post wp-post-image”.
2. The cover images of the blog page. I should be able to adapt them from the size of 1920×1080. I see that scale to 720×520
I don’t know what would be the best formula to be able to correct both aspects. I know that perhaps a formula would be to be able to use images in other sizes, but I already have a website with more than 3,000 articles, which is the one I am trying to export to your template, with more than 2,000 images at 1920×1080.
Thank′s for all.
]]>In Gutenix, the hamburger menu icon is not working as it should
There are two cases:
– mouse-clicking the hamburger menu is not working the first time, after renewing the page though, it starts working!
– finger on touchscreen: the hamburger menu is not working at all
I’m using Gutenix Child 1.0 in WordPress 6.0. The hamburger menu used to work when I created the site 2 years ago, in a previous WordPress version.
Before submitting this topic here, I have done a few tests myself:
I have changed the theme from Gutenix Child to Gutenix 1.1.6 (the latest version), this made NO DIFFERENCE.
I have changed the theme to Twenty Twenty-Two, just to see if the hamburger menu would be working in a totally different theme, and it DID WORK.
Hi, when i visit the shop page I can only see the thumbnail of my products but i can’t see other details. Any tip to solve this issue? Thanks in advance.
]]>Hi – while trying to diagnose a connection problem (now resolved) I temporarily enabled “debug” in WordPress.
When I downloaded the debug.log file it contained 30,432 instances of the following notice per day!
(The notices are identical apart from the date and line number at the end):
[24-Feb-2021 00:03:13 UTC] PHP Notice: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in /home/website/public_html/wp-content/themes/gutenix/assets/css/dynamic/dynamic-css.php on line 503
Do we need to do anything about this?
Thanks!

]]>Hi,
We used the Gutenix theme with woocommerce to build our ecommerce website – however the theme is not compatible with the stripe direct payment gateway so we can’t host card detail entry on the checkout of the site, which is causing us to lose sales
Key points
– we originally started using the paypal checkout gateway – however we received feedback that customers did not like using it so planned to switch to stripe payments instead
– however when we activated the stripe gateway in woocommerce it was not usable: whilst the stripe payment elements do display on screen, the actual fields where the card details are meant to be entered are only a few pixels wide and it is impossible to enter data in them so the gateway can not be used for taking customer payments
– googling the problem suggested that it was quite common and often caused by plugin / theme issues
– we then tested using the exact same site and plugins but just changing the theme to wordpress 2017 theme and the stripe payment works perfectly – all the fields display correctly and customers can use it- suggesting that the problem is due to something specific to gutenix (probably some incompatible javascript)
Could you please recommend the steps we need to take to modify the theme / remove the faulty js to allow the stripe gate work to work?
Many thanks in advance for all your help,
Katie
Note: I have submitted our checkout url in this post however the stripe gateway is not active on this page (as it looks unprofessional) – if you need to see the page please let me know and i can send over screen shots for reference
