It’s easily customizable for my customers and for my website

I like this theme but there’s no support on the forums if something isn’t working. I’ve been having trouble with something and no one knows what to do – including the creators of the theme itself.
I can’t continue with this theme if I’m having certain problems. Thus, I might have to ditch it and use another.

Hatch Pro offers some support with the developers – be aware they are not on U.S. time, so responses are sometimes delayed.
I’ve found three issues with this theme:
1 – Static front page doesn’t permit use of the large header image that is characteristic of the theme design (this is only usable when you utilize the blog as your front page);
2 – Limiting the number of front page images in the lower third doesn’t seem to work with sticky posts;
3 – Modifying the theme is quite complex.
My two cents.

Not much more to say except the code is really really good…

Love the clean design of this theme, easy to set up and gets straight to the image orientated site i needed for a client.
Had some issue with the lightbox working, seems something in the new gallerry in 3.5 means that link=”file” doesn’t get added to the gallery shortcode. Easy to remedy manually just have to remember each time.
Overall great!

I’m using Hatch on a non-portfolio website, just because I wanted a picture-oriented theme. It does totally fine that way, also it doesn’t “look WordPress” at all, which is rare and appreciated. I’ve been willing to do a very simple change for a while, which is replacing the author biography field with a tag cloud, and it is just impossible without going into the code (which I’m unable to do). In general, customization is pretty low, but other than that, I am very happy to use Hatch on a my blog.
