Hi, thanks for your work. I found an unclosed tag in sidebar.php, the ASIDE that opens on line 21 must be closed on line 26.

I like the simplicity of the theme, but I’m having two small problems.

The first is an extra scroll bar that appears at the side of each post but does nothing. It doesn’t appear on the main page, only when someone clicks on a single post.
Compare main page to single page.

The second thing is that I’d like to shrink the right side bar a little and give that space to my posts instead.
Maybe a screenshot will make things easier to understand: here

Thanks so much for creating the Hellish Simplicity theme.

I have looked over and over online for how to create a static wordpress homepage. The directions all strangely seem to be outdated.

I still am not sure if the technique varies depending on the theme. So I am reaching out to you in case you know how to do this.

I currently have a “sticky” post as my homepage. But all of my other posts and pages are visible underneath this sticky post. And I do not like this.

How may I create a static homepage, using your Hellish Simplicity theme?

How can I integrate the primary menu?

Fantastic theme! I love how clean it is!

However, I am trying to create a child theme to make mild adjustments with the functions.php / css files that will not be overwritten during an update but it does not render the stylesheets correctly.

Using both manual creation and plugin (child themes configurator) for the child themes renders a child theme to use but when viewing the site, the style sheet is not applied correctly and it just shows the site without styling.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Featured Image not Showing

I have 2 questions:

1. Is there a way to change the location of meta data from bottom of the post to the top of the post?

2. Is there a way to highlight( with a color) a specific meta data? ( in my case I want to highlight the comments part only)

Any chance you would feel like posting a snippet of code here so I can use an image instead of the text for the header? ?? I can put the image URL in the Header file if I had a clue how to put the code bit in that would surround it…

anywhere in the Editor. I just see the index.php …

Is there a way to customize the posts themselves without changing the homepage?

We are using this theme at https://blogs.xcesslogic.com and need to know how to show author profile box below the post. Is it possible in this theme?
