Hi. I used a plugin to create an optin subscribe button.. but now I have it, plus one that looks like it’s from the theme.. can I remove it?

I’ve tried everything i was capable of thinking of to get the logo in header in good quality but it doesn’t work: i tried jpeg, png (pdf and svg not supported). I tried to resize the logo at the right proportions (80*80).
Any idea? It’s really annoying to have such a bad quality…

How to change header’s height?

I think that I should edit these parts of CSS:

.site-title {
	font-family: "Open Sans", sans-serif;
	font-size: 36px;
	font-weight: 700;
	line-height: 1;
	margin: 0;
	padding: 22px 0;
	text-transform: uppercase;
}

.menu-toggle:before,
	.widgets-toggle:before {
		font-size: 24px;
		font-size: 2.4rem;
	}

… and others.

So I tried to edit it and I succesfuly changed header’s height in desktop version of site.

But mobile version got many mistakes, like menu toggle is higher than site title.

Please tell me which lines I should edit in CSS

Hello again – Still loving this theme, but I just enabled it on a fresh wordpress install and was met with the undefined variable error in the title.

Since it is a fresh install, I have no categories yet – it looks like $cats is set conditionally on line 86 and then used on line 90 without first verifying it has been set.

Love this theme, been using a child version of it for a while now. Just wondered if there’s any way to make the featured image display at full width rather than restricting it to 984px?

On a fresh install, the ellipsis menu icon (\f476) seems to be broken.

It looks like you have bundled genericons v3.0.3, but the ellipsis icon was not added until version 3.1 according to the release notes (https://genericons.com/releaselog/).

I have a custom font that I would like to use for this theme but don’t know where to upload the font.. I know what the css would generally look like to have a custom font:

@font-face {
font-family: FontName;
src: url(public_html/your-site/wp-content/themes/your-theme/fonts/FontName-Regular.ttf);
font-weight: normal;
}

But I don’t know where I could upload this font to give it a source.

I am using Hew as the blog for a website I am working on and would like the logo in the header to click back to my website (www.americanbocceco.com) instead of the blog (blog.americanbocceco.com). Is there anyway to change what the icon/logo links to?

I am using hew for my personal blog, but when I configured the social navigation after that I’m not getting the icon for widgets hover. Please help me how I can change it or bring it back.

I’m using Hew to run a photography blog, and so I want my images to be as clear and compelling as possible. As such, I would love for my images to display beautifully at hi-dpi resolutions. Currently, my images are primarily displayed as “Featured Images” rather than embedded within a post.

I’ve installed the WP Retina 2x plugin, but as far as I can tell by looking at the code, it appears that my uploaded photo media becomes cropped and compressed when displayed as a featured image. To my eye, it doesn’t appear that my images are displaying at a “retina” sort of quality.

How might I make the necessary adjustments in WordPress (or in the Hew theme) to display my images for hi-dpi?

For the record, I upload my photos at fairly large sizes, and my “large” thumbnail setting is set to 1024 x 1024.

I was wondering what is the best way to enable a wider image in tne theme’s header? Instead of an avatar, I’m trying to use a logo, which is not squared but much wider.
