On an iPhone, scrolling hangs. The pages freeze and I need to swipe 4 or 5 times before I can scroll down. On a Mac, there’s also a delay — response is slow — but I am able to scroll the page. I’m using WordPress 6.4.3, PHP 7.3.33. My browsers are Safari and Chrome.

Is there a fix for these delays?

On the home page, can the white gap above the footer be removed, so that the content with the black background abuts the content with the gold background?

When I post in Facebook, the link to my home page displays with a very old photo…. Not the featured photo for the page. How can I update or remove the image?

I have a question about creating custom menu links on the free Himalayas theme.
I’ve read the doc but could not understand the description in the Menu Setup. Perhaps because I’m a German.
I could not find a way to use for example the About Widget to include there the About Section ID, which I would use in the link.

I have been advised in my dashboard that I need to update my PHP version to 7.4 to maintain support for the site. I am currently running PHP 7.3.33 the hosting platform is 123 Reg.

I tried upgrading the PHP version on the host server to 7.4 and the web site stopped working. Can anyone advise whether the Theme should have worked OK?

Hey,
I would like to know how to change the standard blue color that appears when hovering over some clickable links. Some of the links/buttons simply get darker when hovering over and I like the design of that. Yet, other buttons/clickable links have the text go blue and it doesnt fit my color design. Any advice on how to change that? Maybe with a CSS code?

This seems to be an ongoing issue. Can you tell if there is a fix for the slider not being correct on phones and tablets yet? I need a solution or I’ll have to move on to another theme.

Since upgrading to PHP8, my logs are full of warnings like:

Undefined array key "HTTP_USER_AGENT" in /wp-content/themes/himalayas/inc/functions.php on line 62

This is because your code doesn’t check for the existence of the key before accessing it:

$himalayas_user_agent = strtolower( $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] );

Please add ‘isset’ check for this key before trying to access it, like so:

$himalayas_user_agent = ( isset($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']) ? strtolower( $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] ) : '' );

From time to time the hamburger menu doesn’t work either when opened on a mobile device or if page is resized. You can see the lines but nothing happens when clicked. If page is refreshed in the browser sometimes it’s working again. Tried many different browser with same results.

Also tried on you demo site just incase I’ve installed something that could break the menu, but no same thing happens on the demo site.

Is there a testimonials widget available, either in the free version or in the pro version?

The images in the portfolio section have two buttons. One is to show the photo larger, and one is for a link associated to it. How can I remove the link button in order to leave it just with the enlarge button?

I tried the following css code, but all it does is disable both buttons yet leave them visible.

I just installed the Himalayas theme and I’m doing some testing to see if it works for me.

I am trying to remove the Read More button from the Aboust Us section, so that only the Contact Us For More button is visible.

I tried using something like this:

Hello, upgrading my HP to php 8 : main picture is not shown. So I took php 7.4 again. I suspect, that my himalayas-theme doesn’t work with php 8 and instead uses Twenty Twenty-Three: only text is displayed. Checking Himalayas-theme and my few plugis: HP is working (main picture is shown!!!) correctly, even all plugins are deactivated. Picture isn’n shown, if Himalayas is deactivated.

I use the Himalayas theme and since I make use of the Litespeed Cache the hamburger (mobile) menu is not working anymore. When I deactivate the Litespeed plugin it’s working like expected. Do you know how to solve this? Is there anything (.js / .css) that I can exclude from Litespeed to make it work again?
