Hello Guys,

When I enable the template “no sidebar” for my home page “home” for example the page still shows me the sidebar. Even after flush cache and choose another browser.

Also I didn’t know, how I can enable the social Icons in the left top corner.

My logo appears twice on each individual post – once in the header, and again at the top of each post with the date, author, etc. How can I remove the second logo or edit the information that appears at the top of each post?

Is there a way to change the menu alignment in the Ixion theme? Currently, it is aligned to the right, which causes a second layer in the menu for our last item. I would like to alignment to the left in order to eliminate the second layer.

For some reason the menu is not working in mobile / responsive. Anybody have any thoughts?

I tried z-indexing the nav button and container, but no luck..

We are using WordPress Plan Personal, so can’t use the plugin or jetpack.
Is there a way to increase the size of the Facebook icon of the social media menu ?

I want to use Ixion theme as my base website’s theme. I needed to do few (like 4) minor adjustments (font size, margin size, removing a divider/section) in theme’s code, so I created a new child theme. These changes are not significant however (as in the meaning of creating new theme based on Ixion). I do not want to redistribute so customised theme or sell it as itself – it is to be used in the website I am preparing for a third party, so I would say that it will be a part of my service as “creating a website”.

My question is: if in terms of GNU GPL v.2 (or later) (as Ixion is licensed under this one) should I treat it as a ‘new derivative work’ and take care of redistributing source code licensed under same GNU GPL v.2 along the website? Or should my client do so? Or else, I can skip this as this does not qualify.

I’m hoping someone help me out with changing text and button colors?
I found the post with the green/white css code, which was helpful. But it changed the heading text over the images to black, and how the menu links displayed, which I don’t want.
Can anyone guide me to help replace the theme’s yellow links and call out button to a specific hex color?

The ‘View version 1.1.6 details’ link loads nothing.

I am not about to blindly update, so I need to see the changelog.

But why is there no 1.1.6 on www.ads-software.com?

Is it possible to open a list of all posts in a category (when clicking on the category) instead of pulling up all the posts themselves?
Is it possible to do so with just a free account?

This is only happening on mobile! For some reason the Donate button in the sidebar widget has black text for the link. The widget links are in the css as black, but the button texts are supposed to be white, and *are* on tablets and my laptop.

I’ve tried putting the button color in the customizer, then I tried adding this:

.widget a.button {
color: white !important; 
}

Which works on the pc, but not my phone. Does anyone have an idea for how to fix it?

I’m new user of wordpress and currently have a plan to make a one page and I will go with Ixion theme as it seems pretty clean and functional but I have one question. I saw on other pages that use Ixion that there is search engine, but when I use it I got results that just point me on the page where that word is mentioned. I was wondering is it possible that I got results with link that will lead me to the exact point on that page where that word is.

When I install the theme on a www.ads-software.com site, I do not get the same options as on WordPress.com. Fx:

– I am missing the customisation option of changing font of Site Title in Site Identity
– The search function is not present on the top of the page
– I don’t have the option to pick one of the templates when creating a new page
– When importing a page that was previously created in WordPress.com, the width size does not match, e.g. https://www.magnusreformas.es/ (at about us)

I have installed and activated Jetpack, so I am not sure what is causing this.

Can you help me figure this out?

Hi – I wonder if you could help me with some styling on my home page (Child’s Theme)? I would like to change the look of the featured content – the 3 boxes below the hero image. For the off-click state, I would like there to be no text, only images. For the hover state, I would like there to be white text against a solid colored background (red #c73127). Currently the hover is triggered by the text; can it be triggered by hovering over the image instead?

One other thing. Under Recent Posts (also on the home page), I can’t figure out how to change the font-weight of the category to match the date without affecting other styling on the site. My date is bold, and I would like the category heading to be as well (it’s currently normal).

I want the drop down menu to appear at a much wider width than the original theme, but when I add the media query with the new width in the child theme, it still just executes it as it is in the parent theme.

I am setting up a small charity website using the Ixion theme. I really want to utilise the three featured content areas on the homepage. As per the theme instructions I have tagged a page with ‘featured’ but when I go to Theme > Customise to select that tag under Featured Content I find there is no ‘Featured Content’ section there. Does anyone know why that may be? Thanks!

Hi all, I’m having some trouble with css and a gallery and I was hoping you might be able to help.

The offending gallery is the first 3 images on this page: [ redundant link removed ]

On desktop, that’s fine, 3 images side by side. But when I switch to Mobile, I would like 3 equal sized images one underneath each other. Instead, I get two small images side by side, and one large on underneath.

How can I set the CSS in this gallery to behave appropriately?

Bare in mind, I’m a bit of a website building noob. I’m hoping I can set an additional css class to the gutenberg block and then alter that… But I’m already a bit out of my depth.

I would like the side bar to sit beside Recent Posts on a static home page –?just like on the demo. However, the sidebar fills the entire righthand side when implemented. How can I change this?

Since the “Read more” link with the small arrow appears near the gallery, I would like to remove it since there is no need for the “read more”…
I found the code-part in the Extra CSS customization area and removed the “Read more” text (In this case it was also first translated into Swedish). Fine – text is gone but the small arrow is still there misleading viewers to think it points to the gallery.
How can I remove it? I checked the code by inspecting the part on the page and found there is a piece named “cursor:pointer”. I have not been able to locate it though and what to do to change. Or remove?. Any ideas? thanks!

Despite changing colours in the style.css and tagging these !important, changes are still not being reflected on the site.

Can anyone offer advice on how to change the colours for various link, hover, active within the content and also in the menu?

Instructions located in other threads in this forum have not worked.

Ok so just as there’s an icon for the search bar it’d be great if I could add an icon looking like a cart right next to it which links to the Checkout page. I don’t want to add it to the main header menu because it’d look too clumsy.

Ok so presently the Featured Content section on the homepage shows the thumnbnails of the respective posts.

What I would like is to have a thumbnail with no text in the picture (like it is right now for “A/V” and “Games”) but a different image (with text) display when the page is opened (like “Worksheets”)

Right now it’s a mess, because if the Featured Image has text in it (like for “Worksheets”) then that shows up in the Featured Content area, which already has text labels.

I think either of the following could work:

1) Modify / manually set the image which shows up in the first panel. Instead of WordPress directly pulling the post’s featured image, set the path to another file on the server.

2. Modify the specific page (one page at a time, like just for “Worksheets” for now) to display a picture other than the one set as “Featured”.

My guess would be that the second solution is easier (?). I’m a noob at technical web-dev, any help would be appreciated ??

What am I doing wrong? Tried various css to adjust my logo (I want it smaller and moved to the left). I’m new at this. Any help?

First off, I know some basic CSS and HTML but not enough to fix my two problems (I know what hex codes are and can swap/replace hex codes, I just don’t know the magic words (dot classes? is that the right phrase? I’m talking about something like .main-navigation, for example.) to fix the things.

1) I can’t seem to figure out how to remove these ugly white lines that surround the header on my website (and current development project) I still need the space to be there, but I just need the colour of the lines to match that of the background which I believe is a pale shade of grey.

2) There is also a small issue with hovering over the navigation menu links. when I hover over my main navigation links (the ones next to the logo, not the text in the drop down boxes), they turn to another shade of grey.

I need these to be #e00000 but I can’t seem to fix that in my current CSS plug-in for some weird reason

what custom CSS snippets can I chuck into the additional CSS box to fix these problems?

also just to mention i’m a bit tight for time, it needs to be done by saturday as I have to showcase the website then in a very important meeting.
