im getting a “Error: error (524)” while importing the demo on Rara one click demo import. i downloaded the demo content from here: https://docs.rarathemes.com/docs/jobscout/theme-installation-activation/how-to-import-demo-content/

I need to replace the word ‘job’ with the word ‘opportunity’ throughout my site. Easy in some places, but not others. Can anyone offer any advice?

I realize the theme was probably not intended for woocommerce but I loved the way it looked so figured I would try.

It looks great except I seem to be getting the word “archive” in front of my title for the store page. I have tried to add custom css but have only been able to remove the title as a whole. I use string locator to try and find where I could change the word “archive” but seem to be having no luck.

Any advice?

Hi,

I am trying to simply wrap text around an image of myself but nothing is working. I have ensured the text is “paragraph”, and the picture aligned but nothing. While editing it seems to be wrapped but once previewed or published there is a large gap.

The Jobscout theme came with coblocks editor, so I disabled to see if that would help and nothing. I installed the classic editor and nothing. I am guessing the theme may be overriding the changes in some way but thought I would reach out to in hopes of finding the easiest solution.

In Job scout home page, I can see 2 jobs in each row. How to make one job per row.

I removed the banner image from the single job listing page using the following code.

.entry-header { display: none}

This resulted in removing header from all the pages including blog.

How to remove the image header only from job listing page without affecting other pages.

Inside the Banner, I just need keywords search option & placeholder. Please let me know, how to remove/hide other search options like Locations & Category?

Extra fields for WPJM is a plugin that is recommended by job scout theme, although the last update of this plugin is 2 years back. Please job scout don’t recommend such plugins which are updated less frequently.

it does not work – since i only work with sftp-protocoll?

one question though: –?can i upload the demo-content with the sftp client to the server – into a tmp-file so that i can add the content – from that location!?

Hi, it’s me again. Still testing JobScout and got a problem with the category-filter:

1.) There’s no placeholder on top of the category-list, so the first category is shown as “default”. Thus it’s not possible to do a search without limiting to one category

2.) The filter doesn’t seem to work: when choosing a category listings from other categories are shown anyway. (I found this old post referring to the same issue but can hardly imagine it’s still not working…)

Keyword- and location filters seem to work correctly.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated…

on my site the 100%-complete german WP Job Manager-translation of the front-page search form placeholders are not displayed (english text appears instead of german):

• “Keywords” should be “Stichworte”
• “Location” should be “Arbeitsort”

In other themes the translation is displayed correctly… Any solution?

first of all thank you for the JobScout theme! I’m currently testing it and it works very well with the WP Job manager plugin, but I ran into an issue with the banner image:

When displayed on a 4K-screen in a full screen browser (MS Edge) it doesn’t adjust to full screen-width; the image is aligned left and there’s a about 15% of the width of white space on the right side. I already tried other image sizes (high resolution) and height / width-ratios, but nothing helps :-/

Any ideas what might be the reason for this and how to get the banner image go to full screen / browser width?

I am relatively new to web design so still getting to grips with everything. Using the JobScout theme, I am looking to set up a vacancies page within my design where the content will be fed by a database from another website (ie automatically update when we create/remove a job within that database.) If this is possible, can someone please point me in the direction of a guide, or a suitable plugin? Thanks in advance.

on the bottom of a job page there is a button Apply. I’m not able to make it work the same way it works in Demo.

In Live Demo (https://rarathemes.com/previews/?theme=jobscout) there is an application form with fields like email, name.

After installing Job Scout and importing Demo (using Rara One Click Demo Import plugin) there’s only: “To apply for this job email your details to [email protected]” and I can only change the email, not the form.

I’d like to have the full form (like it’s in Demo), preferably with customizable fields (a file upload would be great here).

Is there any way I can achieve it?

I am getting some issues with the mobile version of this site i am building.

– Scrolling isn’t pinned at sides (if you push left/right it shows white space)
– Logo and hamburger menu getting cut off
– Header image getting cut off when scaling.
– menu does operate properly and all menu items are not in one horizontal line.
