Hoping for a response, but the crickets on this forum are not encouraging…
If you specify a site logo image but not a header image, the home page displays a big blank area between the header image (which is actually the site icon image) and the first post.
If you look at the code in that area, you can see that this code references a ‘default.jpg’ (which is a 1×1 image) but a size is given of the header image)

So the result is a big 1140×330 blank area between the top image and the first post.
And, if you leave the site logo setting empty, and specify a header image, the header image is not shown on the individual post page (as the other support post here — from 11 months ago, and not answered — specifies).
Hoping for a response, but not holding my breath, considering the lack of developer response to this forum.
