Hi!
I’m currently setting up my new webpage with the Karen theme, and I like it very much. But the thing I really would like to be able to change, is the width proportions between thee three fixed columns on every page: Publication date, text column, and sidebar. I think that the date column is way too wide, creating a mass of dead space to the left of the actual text. And the text itself is far too narrow. The main purpose of my site is to be a litterature/language blog, so there will be a lot of long posts in it. And they just turn impossibly long when the text column is so narrow.
I don’t know coding and I’m aware that this might be solveable by changing the code, but I won’t be able to do it. I’ve tried different builders and widgets and plugins to remove date or resize, but no luck. And I have looked through and tested a lot of other themes, but I really like this one the best and would like to have it for my site. So my urgent wish is for an update that makes it possible to either change the width proportions between the date and text columns, or maybe simpler: an option to put the date on top of the text instead, so that the space can be used to make the text column wider.
Best regards,
Laidi
I am trying to change the (dynamic) frontpage, to make a different layout. Now it just spews up all the latest posts, and I would like to order them like this:
Latest 6 posts from category 'interviews' with image
latest 12 posts from category 'poems' without image
My problem is, I have no idea where I can find the php that compiles the frontpage. Can you give me any clues where to find this, and give me a hint if you know of an easier way to do this?
Thanks,
Eric.
