Theme Libre 2 cannot be updated.
On my test site (copy of my official site) I was able to update Libre 2 to version 2.2.8. However, on my official site I have version 2.2.6, and WordPress tells me to update it to version 2.2.8, but I cannot do it.
If I try to do the update from the “WordPress Updates” page, it just gets stuck to “…Enabling Maintenance mode… Updating Theme Libre 2 (1/1)”, and it’s still stuck even after an hour.
If I try to do the update from the “Themes” page, it states “Update failed: Download failed. Forbidden”
What’s wrong? Please, any solution?
Thanks in advance!

]]>Hi,
I am using Libre 2 theme for both my wordpress.com and my self-hosted blog.
Why is it the pre-defined layout is only available when i add new page in wordpress.com blog and not available in my self-hosted blog. Any possibility to make the pre-defined layout also available in my self-hosted blog when i add new page?
Thank you.

Hello.
I want to completely remove the “Previous/Next Post” buttons from my website, since they don’t actually serve any purpose for what I’m going for. Could you guys give any help?
Thanks in advance.
]]>Hi,
I would like to hide the category and as well as the author info completely at the end of the post including the author image + archive link. I was previously able to hide them but for some reason they’re back.
Unless I was dreaming, some of these options have disappeared from the Libre 2 theme’s customizable settings. After the previous update, there was a tab called ‘content’ or something similar where you could edit the appearance of and for example hide the categories and keywords. Now it’s not there anymore.
Thank you!
]]>Hello! I am working on this site with the Libre theme, and there’s a strange gap at the top of every page. How can I get rid of it, or at least reduce it so the logo and header are closer to the top of the page on first load? It’s an aesthetic issue on most pages, but is actually causing glitches on the Contact page. Of note, I’m using CampusPress since it’s provided through my university.
]]>Hi there,
Whenever I insert images into a blog post and align them center, they always align left when I publish the page.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug in the theme?

]]>Hello,
I’ve searched through the forums and have not yet found a code that works for what I’m looking to do. I’ve already been able to add CSS to make the links change colour on hover, but I’d like to change the default colour of just the links in the menu, not any other links. I’m also not trying to change a background colour.
I have tried:
.main-navigation ul li:hover > a{
color : #B05630;
}
.site-title a, .site-title a:focus, .site-title a:hover, .site-title a:visited {
color: #B05630;
}
body:not(.overlay-header) .primary-menu > li > a, body:not(.overlay-header) .primary-menu > li > .icon, .modal-menu > li > .ancestor-wrapper > a {
color: #B05630;
}
#nav-main ul.sf-menu a:hover {
color: #B05630;
}
When using them, nothing happens at all. I tried them based off them being recommended in other posts.
]]>Hi. When I add a featured image to a post, it does appear on the homepage with the leading text. But it is too large. I am using WordPress.com. I have tried down sizing the pixels physically but it still comes in at the same over size. Could you tell me a way to get a thumbnail or smaller size featured image to appear with the post link on the home page? THanks. John
]]>Here is the problem at hand. On my previous site from wordpress.com, my theme (Libre 2) allowed me to have a featured image on my blog post page. What I mean by blog post page is the page that you go to to read the blog post that has just been clicked on. After switching to www.ads-software.com and setting up my site (now using Libre because Libre 2 is not on WP.org), the image will no longer show up on the blog post page. The featured image shows up on my home page and read more page where my blogs can be clicked on, but once clicked on, the image is gone and there is just a giant title. Additionally, when I post the link to the blog post on different social media platforms, say Facebook, the image does not show up with the link any longer. I have looked for ‘content options’ under appearance–>customize, but it does not seem to exist. I am using the Libre theme now instead of Libre 2 from WP.com. Can anyone help me figure this out? I would love to get the image on each post and link sent if possible.
]]>Hi there,
I am wondering if there is an easy way to add a “Last Updated” date to my blog posts without customizing the theme. I’d like for both users and Google search to know when a post was originally posted but also when, if at all, a post was last updated.
If this functionality is not available, does anyone know the process to request functionality be added to the next release of the theme?
Thank you!
]]>Hi there,
When clicking on a blog post author hyperlink in a blog post using this theme, I get redirected to the home page. Is there any way to create an author page under the address assigned to the author hyperlink to prevent this redirect from happening?
Thanks,

]]>I don’t want a sidebar on my site. Is there a way to make the Libre theme display text all the way across the screen, instead of reserving a space on one side for a sidebar?
Thank,
Stuart
I’d like to have some suggestions for an easy-to-use and flexible menu plugin. I’m not very technically savvy, so simple is best.
Thank you,
Stuart
I’m trying to get a website started with the Libre theme. Is there a way to remove the horizontal menu below the header image that comes standard with this theme? I only want a vertical menu in the sidebar, which I have already added.

]]>Hi,
I’ve been trying to manage this with my very beginner-level css skills with no success. I would like to get rid of the hamburger menu on mobile devices as my desktop menu should work just fine with smaller screens as well. The tablet site looks perfect but how do I get the mobile site to look the same? Is there a way of doing this in Libre 2 theme?
Thanks!
]]>Dear team,
I’m a big fan of Libre 2 (just like my loyal readers!), so thanks in advance.
I have an issue with my images on mobile screens.
Images in a single post are not centered and seem to ‘run out of’ the screen on the right side. So images are not really perfectly adapted to mobile screens.
The txt description under the images also tend to go to the right and are not fully visible anymore.
Please check my question on a mobile devices for examples.
]]>Hi,
How do you turn off (or at least, hide) the sticky menu in the Libre 2 theme? I’m using a child theme on a self-hosted site.
Thank you!
]]>I’m not sure if this would be a huge change to make or not, but is it possible to have the body to the left and the title to the right? So literally just swapping where they sit.
Any ideas?
]]>Hi,
I am developing a child theme from Libre-2 Automattic theme.
I don’t understand the image sizes. I would like the featured image to be 100% content-width in posts. Please look at screenshots linked below: looks like the post width is 1360px, but Libre-2 documentation stands that full width image size is 1088px.

How can I handle this? I have stated this (linked below) in media sizes, but still doesn’t work:

PS: I am using AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild plugin.
]]>Hi! I have been trying to figure out how to disable the menu toggle (hamburger menu) on the desktop version of my site, but to no avail… what should I change or add to make the navigation menu appear fully expanded (eg. as it does here: https://themetally.com/demo/?theme=libre)? The hamburger menu on the mobile version of my site is perfectly fine.
]]>Hi!
Thanks for this lovely simple theme ??
I’d like to make it even simpler, and remove the responsive header – I’d like to stop it from being ‘sticky’ and also stop it from ‘shrinking’ when the reader scrolls down the page.
I’ve searched through the php files but can’t see anything I would be confident to change. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Beth
I’ve created a blog at https://www.linakingston.com and foe some reason the sidebar doesn’t want to show up on the Blog page. It shows up on every other page and also on individual posts, but not on the post index page. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Since a couple of months I’m getting those warnings (site running PHP 5.6.29):
PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /.../wp-content/themes/libre/header.php:11) in /.../wp-includes/pluggable.php on line XXX (different messages with different line numbers here).
Any clues?

]]>Hi there– I haven’t been able to make my page full-width on a computer monitor, although it adapts to the size of a phone/tablet just fine. Too much white space on the sides. I’ve tried adjusting the @media min-width settings (as suggested in earlier posts here), but with no effect.
Also, the font size looks incredibly small, even though the default in the stylesheet is 18px.
Thanks in advance.
