I’m trying to figure out, how to remove the comma which is in front of the Tags. It’s obviously fine if there is a comma separating the tags, but a comma in front of the first tag looks a bit odd…
Those commas are showing up in both index.php and single.php, but my php knowledge isn’t strong enough to just edit the files…

]]>When I put up a post, under the title, it says the date and then “by ###@gmail.com”. So basically that means it will post my email address on every.single.post. That is not a good idea. How do I remove that part or at least change the email address to a junk email?

I’ve been trying all different things in my child theme to change the font and comment form, and comments below each post. Everything is centred but it looks off and I’d like everything to be aligned from the left. I can’t find anything that works. Thanks

I’d like to move my whole comment section to the left. Everything, the comment form, and when the comments are posted are all aligned in the centre. I’ve changed the font in my childs theme css successfully and have been playing around with other stuff to make this left alignment change, but nothing is working.

My font just changed out of nowhere on my site and now it’s come to my attention that I have 41 markup errors and 7 CSS errors. I can’t fix them this instant and am wondering if anyone has some code that I can put in my child theme CSS to override this for the meantime.
I use the font “raleway” for all of my titles and nav bar items. I just posted something and now the font of the nav bar and the title of all my posts seem to be in times new roman. However, if I click on the post title, to view a page with only that post, the post title returns to raleway font, but the navbar remains in times new roman.
The only thing different I did before this was install a bit.ly plug in, entered some code in my wp-config.php file.. then deleted only that code, and deleted the plug in. Then I found and installed the wp bit.ly plugin, and activated that.

I am using the a liquorice child theme for my site thehealthycollective.com.
I have just moved my categories to the nag bar. When the mouse hovers on a parent category, the sub categories drop down. The font is in black and once it is hovered over, turns green. Can anyone provide me a piece of code to put in my child theme that will allow me to change the font colour?

Im thinking of slimming down my categories (I have tons because I think I was mixing them up with what I read about tags. lol) and moving them into my nav bar, possibly with drop down lists.
Is there some code I have to use to move the widget, or a special way I need to create pages so they show categories?

I’ve just created a child theme but can’t get the background to go white, even though the color code says it is. Do I need to override something in the child’s stylesheet?

I know how to create the links with the word, twitter, for example by creating a menu. But I can’t figure out how to replace the word “twitter” with an icon. I have configured 2 WP menus, one for navigation and another for directory. I know Liquorice only support one menu, and I’ve selected the one for navigation to become the menu. Originally, when I created the menu for directory, it automatically become the menu that Liquorice displays.
However, even though I configure the navigation menu to become the menu, the menu for directory still show up. Why?

]]>I’m trying to make the background for my blog completely white. I tried changing the background color to white on the custom background page (under “Appearance”) and nothing happened. So I tried uploading a plain, white jpg as the background image. The background changed to white, except for one blob of the original background in the header.

]]>I noticed that the page of posts (or the category page containing all the posts) doesn’t have the post title. I know that I should modify the archive.php, but the page title is always not available.
I thought it might have something to do with how I previous hide a title using display:none, but even if I set it to only target the page, titles on other pages are not showing. The following is the CSS specifically used to target that page. Otherwise, I didn’t modify other aspects of the CSS files.

]]>I’m trying to modify a wordpress theme so that if I disable commenting on the page/post, nothing show up (I want to make the ‘comment is currently closed’ tag to go away). This is the original php file https://pastebin.com/RBQqW9mn .
I made some modification (tuck the H2 element into the if block, so if it’s not true, then the message won’t show), and this is the current php file https://pastebin.com/sr88Dk9z . After I saved the file, the sidebar just disappeared, why? I don’t see a single line of code that relates to the sidebar.

PS: in addition, where is the code for the current widget. This theme has only one widget, but I don’t see any register widget function in functions.php (I probably need to replicate it to create a second widget)
Edit: I should be a little more precise, the sidebar just disappeared on the page where comment was disabled. However, on the page where comment is enabled, the sidebar shows.

]]>I installed the theme and disabled all my plugins, yet my main menu is not working properly. I have a a couple of pages, but not all my pages.
When I enable a custom menu, nothing changes, I still see the same pages, no matter which (custom) menu I enable.
Adding pages doesn’t make a difference, they don’t show up in the main menu. It’s always the same couple of pages that I see.
I really like the Licorice theme, but want to have comments enabled on my main page blog posts, but not on my individual website pages. Is there a way to make this happen? I can turn on and off the comments on the Pages, but can’t seem to have any effect on the Posts.

On my site, I noticed that the Search widget for this theme comes out looking different from the demo. It reads, SEARCH FOR: rather than SEARCH: and the search button is white rather than blue. I prefer the demo version. Help is appreciated.
