I have been using the Market Theme for over a year now and I have had no issues with Theme Updates.
A Child Theme was previously created to save the slight changes I made in terms of colour etc. Although, looking at my child theme now – I believe I did this incorrectly in the beginning as I seem to have copied the entire parent ‘style.css’ into the child ‘style.css’ which I now understand is incorrect.
Currently, I am using Version 1.0.0.8 of the Market Theme. Last week, I noticed there was a Theme Update available (Version 2.0.1.2). Therefore, I proceeded to update the theme to avoid security risks in the future.
Unfortunately, the Theme Update had a negative effect on my site. I had an image placed in the header which was removed, posting comments became available for users on every page, the booking form which exists within an ‘Enhanced Text’ widget (includes PHP, JavaScript and HTML code) stopped functioning and there was a menu at the very top of the page listing all the pages of my site – including for example; the Booking Confirmation page which should not be available unless the user makes a booking. The menu at the top is not required for my site.
After noticing the issues, I quickly restored the site from a backup and completed the other plugin and WP updates as necessary. But, I still have the ‘Theme Update’ available and I am not sure how to proceed.
If you could advise me on how I can move forward with the update, I would really appreciate it.

Updated to most recent theme update release and entire site went 404 with GoDaddy. GoDaddy managed wordpress plan.
Godaddy had to restore file structure back to 1.8 theme and said that something in the database went wrong.

Please advise if known problem or when it will be safe to try updating again.
Currently the max number of featured images (posts) per page is 10. Because there are 3 columns, when the home page reaches the 10 max images (posts) the Home page appears to have room for 2 more featured images(posts) which makes the Home page looks unfinished/unbalanced/awkward. The max needs to be multiple of 3, i.e. 9, 12, 15, etc. Therefore, when the max images (posts) are reached the home pages looks complete/even/nicer.
How can I change the maximum number of featured images (posts) for the home page?

Hi,
When I select the Default Category Display (under Woocommerce > Settings ? Products ? Display) to “Show both” (products and sub-categories), my shop only displays the sub-categories, not the products as well.
Other themes implement the Woocommerce settings correctly so is this an issue with the Market theme or with my installation?

I’ve tried using the search function in the Products list (admin side) but every search term comes up with “no products found”. I’m pretty sure it’s an issue with the theme because I’ve tried out others and it works fine with them.
I really don’t want to swap to another theme as I’ve spent a lot of time on getting this one the way I want it to look. Any suggestions? Thanks!

]]>I just changed to Market Theme today and really like it. However, I added a new post today and on the homepage when my featured image appears as the Square Photo, it is a smaller square than all of the other photos on the page. Is there a reason for this or can this be updated?
Here is a link to my site, Christina Cappuccino. The image with the article on “Repurpose for a Purpose” is the image that is smaller than all of the other images.
I would greatly appreciate any help or feedback on this!

And also, there is a problem between the main content and the sidebar. The sidebar is partially on the top of the main content, cause when I put a gallery inside, the pictures are covered by the sidebar on the right side. How can I repair it?

I would first like to thank you for a nice and good theme. I′m new here on the forum so correct me if I do this the wrong way.
My problem reads just like the topic. I have changed the text “item” and “items” in the header.php into Swedish, “produkt” and “produkter”. The Swedish words are displayed for a few seconds then changed it back to “item”. The website is https://www.skalolle.se

I add products to the basket and am shown the correct shipping options. I select one, but the total price on the page doesn’t update like it should.
If I click through to the checkout, the shipping method resets to the default option (ignoring the one I selected on the basket page). Selecting the correct one again still doesn’t update the total price shown on the page.
Checking out and completing the transaction proves that the option chosen does get passed to the checkout process and is used for the total cost – but I can’t figure out why this isn’t updated on the previous pages and shown to the user, or why it resets on the checkout page.
I’ve tried with other themes on this installation and the basket works as expected, so the problem is with this theme. What can I do?

I have only 1 image in the slider.
When I remove the image and i use the url of a new image, the frontend doesn’t refresh it, but when I uncheck “Check this to Enable Slider” the slider dissapear, but when I mark the check to show the slider again it show the old image.
In the backend the image keeps changed but not in the frontend…
Anybody knows where can be the trouble?
