Hi,

I saw that 2 years ago, there was already a post about the h1 issue on blog posts. It’s still my problem that every blog post has the blog name as h1, not the headline of the post. This is a real set issue. As the complain was already 2 years ago, when will you fix this?

I just changed my website over to the Marlin Lite theme today. It is beautiful. I have come across one glitch though – all my posts’ featured images now display small and square and do not fill the space available for the image. It is the same on the front page and each individual post page.

They were all displaying as large rectangular images when using my last theme. I have tried to fix it myself over the last few hours but cannot see what is wrong. I do not have much knowledge of coding etc.

Any suggestions gratefully receieved

Hi there, I’ve got two things I’d love to get some help with ??

First, I saw from another thread that there was some CSS which removed the social buttons from a single post. That worked for me, but I’d like to remove the social icons from my recent posts page as well?

Second, not sure if this is particular to this theme or not. But, in a single post, I can set the featured image so that it is used as a thumbnail for that post. However, it also automatically includes that image at the top of the post; which means it appears twice if that image was in that post (see the URL listed for an example). Any chance of preventing it from being shown at the top of a single post page?

Finally, our site is a multi-author blog. It would be great if it were possible, on the recent posts page, to have which author added the post. Thoughts?

Thanks for fixing the multiple H1 issue on the homepage.

Unfortunately the theme has still a major flaw:

The blog title is always H1, even on posts and pages, while the post/page title is H2.

Any good theme makes the blog title only H1 on the homepage. On posts and pages the post/page title should be H1, on categories the category title should be H1 and so on.

These are extremely basic SEO rules.

Are you going to fix this anytime soon?

How can I change the color of my hamburger menu button when my site is on the mobile view? My theme is marlin light and I would like to switch the hamburger menu to black instead of the peachy/pink color the theme came with.

When do you update the theme? It’s been a year since the last update. The themes, plugins, and WordPress on the website have been updated. Pages, that use the SiteOrig plugin, will no longer work. The SiteOrig plugin has been upgraded continuously.

I don’t know how to explain my problem as accurate as possible and use the right technical words to make you understand what I mean. But here’s the description of my problem.

I made a menu with sub-items that I want to put in the top bar. Now the sub-items are listed below each other. Here’s a screenshot of what I mean: https://www.screencast.com/t/i8lx4Z9MPu

That looks very ugly and makes my page unnecessary long.

I tested it once again with a menu with only one sub-item and it still happens: https://www.screencast.com/t/TtYpxeeRht

However, what I want is that the sub-items are hidden just like in the primary menu section https://www.screencast.com/t/VQAuHg5Ma0L

I basically want to have exactly the same CSS code as the primary bar for the top bar but I don’t really know how to do that. My knowledge in CSS is quite basic. I do know how to change colors of divs and font-size but this is a challenge for me.

Is there anybody who can help me and tell me what I can put in the CSS editor (or what I can change in the theme CSS) to solve my problem? Or if there are any other solutions, let me know.

I installed the Marlin lite theme 2 weeks ago. At the beginning the appearance was fine (white and pink) and the menu and others widgets were working properly. Now, the theme has sone issues and looks like an old version of the mobile site appareance (white and blue), there is no menu and no the widget. Please help!

my customer hosting provider update PHP 5.6 to 7.1. Now customer website is down. Is this theme compatible with PHP 7.1? I am already send a message to hosting provider support, but “the waiting time is long.”

I have just started using the Marlin lite theme to build a new site, when I am editing in the live preview it only shows it in mobile mode. Is this normal? How do I get it changed to view the desktop mode when customizing.

I am trying to center align the posts for my website. I tried searching on the support section to find a solution. The posts I found suggested two different codes to paste into the additional CSS section but they didn’t work. So I figured it might be because those codes were using different themes. Is there a specific code to type in to align posts in the marlin lite theme?

I’m using Marlin Lite to build my new website with Windows 7, and I love the design; however, there is one problem, the dropdown menus are transparent over other menu items, but not over the body of the page, so the words are obscured as the letters for other words are showing through them.

How do I change them to be opaque and not show the other menu tabs through.
