Just for the sake of keeping my blog looking fresh, I contemplate changing from McLuhan. Even after hours of research, I always come back.
It’s simple to maintain, cleanly styled, fast, and the leftside nav increases clicks.
I can’t think of a reason to migrate that justifies the hassle.

My blog is a text-only blog. I tried out a lot of themes, but most of them seemed to be optimized for webpages and blog posts with pictures and are looking poor, if you use them for a blog like mine.
So I was so happy finding McLuhan. It is fast, looks very clean and the readability is great.
I love its minimal design especially on mobile screens and most of my readers use mobile phones to visit my site.
The only thing I had to customize was that I had to turn off the related posts photo placeholders, because I don’t have photos. Anders Norén, the theme author, gave some additional CSS-code in the Support Forum, that works perfectly for me, too.

I only know old HTML and CSS a little.
I decided to use wordpress. The purpose was to exhibit my sample novel.
So I needed an easy-to-read theme. I do not care about pictures.
Customization was very easy.
My language is Japanese.
Because of the readability of Japanese, I widened the space between lines. (line height: 1.8)
I had made a table of contents with a plugin.
Then, I get a simple,impressive,and easy-to-read website.
The contrast between black and white is very beautiful, I love “Mcluhan”.
I thank the creator very much.
