Ran into a problem where I couldn’t update my theme (Minamaze) and it was displaying a message stating that I needed to reauthorize the license.
I logged into my ThinkUp Themes account, and the ONLY things you can see in the dashboard are: Dashboard, Account Details and Logout.
1. In the main Dashboard tab you see a list of your orders. Clicking on the Order number or on the “View” button“View” takes you to a webpage showing the order details. Clicking on “Invoice” downloads a PDF pdf the order details. On the Order Details page there is nothing but the Theme name, price, payment method, first name, last name and email address. No license number. Or anything where you can do anything with your license.
2. If you click on “Account Details” the “Dashboard” tab stays highlighted, but you can set your First Name, Last Name, Display Name, email address and password. That’s it.
There is absolutely, positively NO place in a member’s account dashboard that allows them to see their license number, allows them to reauthorize their license to a site, or anything other than viewing basic details of an order. That’s it. Full Stop.
I clicked on the Contact link on their main menu and then clicked the Support button for current members. It took me back to my (useless) account dashboard. There is no email or phone number listed on their site, so there was no way to contact them except for the generic contact form at the bottom of their page. I ended up sending two messages after I didn’t hear from them for a while after the first.
I also went to their facebook page, to see if there was any contact info there (nope), and to message them directly to let them know of the issues with their site and the theme. It looks like the last post on facebook was January of 2019, so almost 2 years ago. And they had tons of “community” posts from angry customers talking about the lack of support and response. So I switched my client to another theme that has better support and a more user-friendly site.
I finally heard from them this morning *weeks* after I contacted them multiple times with no response. They claimed that my email got caught in their spam, and that they’d added it to a white filter, but that I could use their support contact feature to get help in the future to avoid that issue. That is not the case as illustrated above. They also claimed that I could manage my license in my account panel. Nope. And then they said that if there was no “renew” button next to my license (do they mean on the order? because there IS no license info in the account dashboard!) I could add Minamaze to my cart which would renew it. Meaning I need to re-purchase the theme.
While I’m not opposed to subscriptions for well-made themes, this was not listed as a subscription. It does not say “annual” anywhere in the theme description. The only thing that kind of points to that is the fact that it says it comes with “1 year of support and updates,” way down in the list of featuyres. $35 a year for this level of support and service? I think not! I would much rather use something like the BeTheme which is a one-time cost of $60 and offers *hundreds* of layouts with that price, and is NOT subscription based.
The fact that it took this long to hear from them, AND their response was grossly inaccurate tells me I made the right decision in leaving them behind. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Stay far away from them.

Minimaze highly promotes a plugin, Page Builder by SiteOrigin (ThinkUpThemes compatible). On their advice, I began using it. It turns out this is not the ORIGINAL Page Builder program but a copy by ThinkUp Themes or one of their affiliates. It is now experiencing problems and it appears they don’t offer tech support and neither does the author of the program. If you disable the plugin ALL content on your site is erased. Minamaze tells me it’s not their problem.
I’m faced with rebuilding my entire 86 page website from scratch thanks to ThinkUp Themes.
Anybody have a theme they can recommend?

No where during the review and purchasing process with Thinkupthemes, did I enter into a yearly contract for the Minamaze theme.
Their BUY button, receipts, and invoices do not state you are entering a contract for updates and support.

I have used many free themes on www.ads-software.com but Minamaze is as great as any good premium theme. Heads up for the coding which is a treat for developers to do manual customizations. Keep up the good work!

What you see on the demo is what your site will look like. There’s no customization at all. For example, I wanted a static image instead of a slider on the front page and that turned out to be impossible.
Also, every time you update something, it will either not update on your website or it will lose something else.
Extremely poor.

Second review:
After several updates this theme is much better (current version is 1.7.0). Almost fully translatable and some other issues are solved as well. That’s why I give it 4 stars now.

I only give 2 stars for now because theme is not fully translatable, there are several warnings and issues when using Theme Check plugin and last but not least, there’s no response regarding my support topics, listed here and here.

Ive been using this theme, that was highly customiseable and reasonably easy to use, its fluid and functional and has been really secure and well made.
I did have an issue with it that was caused by a clash between my host, wordpress and this theme, but even though i didnt have the premium version, they still let me chat with a DEVELOPER (!!) and we quickly went through it and resolved it. Was extremely good and the guy really knew his stuff and was from the UK and helpful and everything.

Love the theme but spent 4 hours trying to correct HTTP error notices when uploading images. Caught on that it was the theme Minamaze that was the cause as I could change it and all was well again. Spent another almost 3 hours following everything I could find on “minimaze http error” to find that making some changes improved the image upload but I would still average 1 image to fail out of 5 in testing all the modifications.
Out of the tens of thousands of themes available online I can’t spend another hour trying to fix this one. If you don’t get this error then great! If you do just find another theme to fall in love with.

This very versatile theme allows for a great deal of customization, most of it can even be done within messing with the .php files… unfortunately, homepage.pho does need to be edited to change button text on the slider.
Most everything else is easily customized. It is a clean looking theme that allows your logo to really stand out.
I have a client using a static front page and for my site I have my blog updates. Both ways work great and look good.

I was having some issues with the free Minamaze theme and after contacting Think Up Themes, Afzaal from the support team was so very helpful and fixed my problems with ease! I had difficulties with customising my home page which was due to a plugin. Even though I had tried to disable all the plugins as I have read this can cause errors, I possibly hadn’t waited long enough to for it to reset.

I am having a few issues with minamaze (free). Every time I change the content in “Homepage (Content)”, the changes are never made and it simply reverts to the default text every time. Along with this, the images displayed in the backend are not the ones being displayed on my site. Having tried to research how to fix this, it sounds as though I am having the same issue as a lot of other people as a result of the latest update. Has anyone solved this problem?
As a follow up – I’m happy to report that I asked for support from ThinkupThemes and was given assistance to solve my problem. It ended up being a problem with an extension to Internet Explorer, so a change to Chrome solved the issue. It was not a problem with Minamaze.

Even though I run the free Minamaze theme, when I reported an issue I could not find a solution to, the ThinkUpThemes support team picked it up, scheduled a Skype call, and in a very friendly and efficient way got it all sorted in just a couple of minutes. A lifesaver for my web-site and an experience that deserves the full five stars!

I love this theme! I have never made a website before only casual WordPress blogs and I have gotten on with this theme really well, and Think Up Themes have been great with resolving any issues (not real issues just coding that I haven’t quite gotten my head round yet). The theme Minamaze (free) is great. At the beginning it took some time. But then I always come along better. The theme Minamaze (free) is apparently made for me. Many thanks to the developers. A Support I have not yet needed. So clearly structured and easy to use.

I had a rough start with this theme, but it was due to WordPress automatically updating and creating issues with the slider. ThinkUp support contacted me via Skype and helped me through the process. A very simple modification fixed it.
This theme is dynamically developed, kept current with WP developments and major updates, and from what I can tell, full of features that website developers actually NEED. It’s clean, responsive, you can customize it comfortably from the dashboard if you don’t want to get dirty with code.
Did I mention the cornerstone of all WordPress products, plugins, themes, etc.: Top-notch support! So if you have any issue, they will not let you down!
Thank you again guys, I can move forward now and will definitely go back for more resources from your company. Maybe even get a Pro version of this theme. I have to go through the extensive list of features and options I’d gain… ??

I love the way the theme looks and normally the way it works but it seems I have issues after the frequent updates. I use a lot of plugins and as with most wordpress plugin/theme combinations there are sometimes issues.
I had a recent customer service call and they were extremely helpful and helped me to identify the problem.

I’m completely ‘sold’ on the flexibility of the Minamaze theme… It’s easy to use, easy to modify, and with a few simple tweaks a web site can be up and running. My site visitors are using a huge range of mobile devices, and we get many compliments on how the site looks regardless of device. No issues with images and the responsive layout, at all.
The code behind it is efficient and doesn’t eat up processor time in my shared server environment. I haven’t had to reach out to them for support because (1) the options are straightforward and easy to use, and (2) because ThinkUp Themes does such a great job responding to everyone else’s questions there’s not much that hasn’t already been covered.
I’m running one site on the pro version of theme, and a second on the free version and have had no issues with plug-in or WP updates.
I’ll be using ThinkUp Themes from here on out…
For me, it’s been a perfect fit.
