I have a problem with my website that is probably connected to the Misty Lake Theme.
As you can see on the Link to my page, there is on the bottom a list of the related child pages that I didn`t designed. It seems to be an automatically setting of wordpress. Of course on other parent pages on my website happen the same listing.

I Can’t find where to delete this setting.

I’ve started having problems with compatibility with Chrome and the sidebar links (they don’t work with Chrome v63 on home and post pages). I know this theme is retired, but it’s the one I’ve loved and know how to work with!

I have made a child theme, but again, it’s starting to be more work than I want to put into it.

Is there a similar theme that is more updated and will work well? I want my header to still work and I just can’t find an easy theme to transition to without a huge amount of work!

Suddenly, none of the sidebar links work on the home page or any of the post pages in Chrome. All other pages work fine.

I’m using the default blog as the home page so it’s not a specific page.

I’ve deactivated any plugins that might be causing a problem but no change.

This just started happening and I’ve have the site since 2015.

I’m hoping someone can help. Something in the CSS of Misty Lake theme is causing my horizontal rules created with <hr> tag to appear briefly, then disappear. I’ve added custom CSS to remove all formatting, add formatting, change colors, width, etc., and it always appears briefly then disappears. If I strip the theme from a page, the lines appear correctly. As soon as I reapply Misty Lake, they disappear again.

It’s happening on all browsers I have access to: Chrome, MS Edge, Firefox, Safari.

There should be a horizontal line between each embedded YouTube video and the next “Outtake #XX”, but it appears then disappears.

This brings opacity in my content-body.
But I dont want opacity for pictures or videoclips.

When I upload images to my site (I use Misty Lake and am using insamnity plugin) I see a sharp image in the backend of WordPress. But on the published version (the site the visitor sees) the uploaded image is a lot less sharp.

(I have set the opacity to 1, so I dont have the hover issue anymore, but I seem to lose quality after publishing. The backend image stays fine).

Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Using theme Misty Lake with plugin Word Press File Upload Pro (general German language) the message for not registered users is “Content is available only for registered users. Please login or register”.
What must I do to get this message in German language?

Hi!

I would like everything on my webpage to appear at the same sharpness/brightness. Right now the pictures and side bar need to be hovered over for them to look normal and sharp. If the mouse is not over a photo or sidebar, these items look slightly faded. Is there a way to prevent this – please let me know. Thanks a lot

I have a visual problem with the Misty Lake theme. I am using Google Chrome and Windows 10. My website hosted through www.ads-software.com is difficult to read because the content part is too narrow within the background. I want to widen the content area and have less of the background image showing. This would make the content much easier to read. I have noticed that in Internet Explorer the content area is noticeably wider (less of the background image is shown). So on IE the website is much more enjoyable to read compared to on Chrome where you need to almost get a magnifying glass to read it.

It would be very appreciated if someone could tell me how to widen the view of my content area. I like the background image but I want much less of it to show.

Hi. Total noob question. But, I am using the Misty Lake theme for our website. Right now the photos that appear on each page seem to be pre-set and randomized. I thought that if I changed the feature photo on a page that would change it to the one I had specified, but when I publish it I haven’t been able to get it to work so far. What do I need to do to make this happen? Thanks.

There are sometimes additionnal blank lines in the principal menu. The appear during the utilisation of my website, and then they disappear, and disappear again. This happens with internet explorer 11. It doesn’t happens with firefox nor with android tablet or phones.

I am using a child theme of Misty Lake and in general find it excellent in all respects. My principal menu has 10 tabs for pages and under a few of these there are 5 subpages. In total there are 15 pages and subpages in the menu.

I would like to add two more subpages. When I add one such subpage and attempt to save the menu, the menu edit page closes and I am moved to the Home Page.

I thought I might get around the possible limit on the number of menu items by creating a new menu. If I try to create such a new menu and name this, when I confirm this name, again I am moved to the Home Page.

What is the easiest way of adding more subpages to the navigation menu?

On the theme just below the menu, it shows the name of the page that you are one. Home, About, Contact, etc….

Since the menu shows the page that you are on highlighted, I really don’t see a need for this. Is there any way to remove that from all pages?

I noticed that when viewing the theme on a mobile device that the mobile menu appears at the top of the theme over the banner. I would like to disable the mobile menu in favor of using Responsive Menu since it gives me the mobile menu style I need. I have a feeling it may have to do with small-menu.js but unsure. If anyone has any insight that would be great.

How do I move the navigation menu to below the header image? The only instructions I can find out there are for twenty-twelve. I’ve tried to follow those instructions as best I can – its header.php is coded differently from Misty Lake – but I end up breaking the blog. I’m missing something.

Near as I can tell, these two pieces of code need to be swapped, but where does the nav code actually end and exactly where should it be placed below the header image code?

I would really like to put a logo to the left of the site title and description. I have managed to move the title and desc to the right by adding

to custom CSS but I am not clever enough to now add a logo (maybe around 80px x 80px).

I’d rather do it in CSS if possible as I am not keen on making a child theme.

Misty Lake is responsive, but when i look at my smart-phone, it seem that responsive is not working.
On the mobile-test site you see that the site does not display properly.
Is there a way to get this right?

I trying to have the carousel working in Misty Lakes: casahuan.com.
I have added two images as a featured image on the customizing page. I try to use randomizing, but nothing happens even I have added two images there. It just keep showing the latest one. Are you able to help me?

I also would like to add a photogallery to the Rooms page. Is there a good way to do it?

I noticed that every image in this theme is overlayed with an opacity layer, which dissolves while hovering with the mouse. How can I disable this feature and let my images display normally?

Normal link color is too close to text color. I only want to change the regular link color as you are reading.

I cannot find where in the CSS stylesheet to change the color. Can someone please tell me where in the Style.css to make this change?

I wish to use 150 x 150 px thumbnails (as per the Featured Image) for each post on the Home page set as alignleft and inline. I wish to use the Featured image (added to each post) added automatically and full size centered after the <more> tag in each post. I am using a Misty Lake child theme for this.

At present the Home page shows the full sized image for each post. I have checked the code I can see via the Misty Lake theme and can see no way of achieving what I wish to do as described above. I have also checked the Internet for featured image explanations and am baffled.

If anyone can help, I would be most appreciative.
