The theme “Museum Core” unfortunately isn’t working correctly with android mobile phones. You can see it on both my site and on the demo page. No custom CSS are used.
]]>Hi,
Love the theme, but the layout on android phones does not ‘degrade’ to responsive phone layout. It looks great when you test within the ‘Customize’ function, but does not work on an actual phone.
How can I fix this?
HELP. About to do a big launch…https://naparesist.com
Thank you.

Hi,
Glyphicons does not works.
I am trying to use them like:
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-search"></span>
.
They are not available in theme.
You need to add this files in “font” folder:
Also you need to change font face paths in bootstrap.css and bootstrap.min.css from ‘../fonts/’ to ‘../font/’.
Best regards,
Milan
Hi all,
is there a posibility to fix the left sidebar nav on its posotion, because if im using mobile devices or low resolutions ( for visually impaired people), the sidebar nav jumps to the bottom. I appreciate the great responsive design, but many reader devices for visually impaired can’t handle with the sliding main menu, so I’m looking for a responsive design with fixed nav-sidebar.
thanks!
]]>Could you provide me with a list of all the CSS classes where I can set the colors for the different site elements (ie Post Title, Header, post body, footer, sidebar etc.)? As always, any help appreciated. Thanks!!
]]>How can I stop the site title and tag line from moving to the right when using a header image. Thanks!!!
]]>On the sidebar, my site has two widgets; search and categories. Reviewing posts by categories or any other way but by searching brings all the full posts. When I do a search, it looks like I only get excerpts. Can I change this behavior? Thanks for your usual prompt help!
]]>I am hosting a site within a multisites environment. All sites are set for English except this one, which is in Spanish. My problem is that, although almost everything is displayed in Spanish (as set in admin panel), the older/previous links in post pages continue to be displayed in English. Any help to solve this is appreciated. Thanks!
]]>I would like to implement the following functionality from the child theme:
1. Add a Control to the Background Image Section
2. The Control should display a drop down menu
3. The drop down would list a series of background images
4. When the admin selects an item from the drop down, a corresponding image would be displayed to the right of the customizer as a background.
Do you have a piece of code hanging around that would help me accomplish this? Thanks either way!
]]>Testing out the theme on my site at russperry.com. but would really prefer to have the sub-menus appear on mouse over. Have been looking through the code in all the files but can’t find where the drop-down arrow activation code is located. (I assume that’s where I could make the edits to implement the mouse over drop-down.) If I could find where the code is I could probably figure out how to change the behavior. ( Hopefully it can be done with css but if necessary I’m not worried about losing changes to the code with upgrades since I keep good documentation of edits I make so I can restore them if needed after any upgrade.)
Thanks to anyone who can point the way.
]]>Very nice theme !!!
Just a question. I think it isn’t easy to see differents articles and widgets on home page. If we can add a frame (3dframe ?) around widgets on sidebar and articles, it would be great ??
Chris:
Could you visit my site and maybe explain why thee posts called “Like Pretty Flowers?” and “Just Saying” behave the way they do?
When you click on either title, the post looks exactly as it was created. However, clicking the titles, the links on the first are nowhere to be seen and the second shows nothing of the post content.
I’ve tried to figure it out to no avail. Your usual assistance is appreciated. Thanks!
]]>Hey, Chris. This is a link for the Museum Core child theme I tweaked. I dropped the superhero skins, added others and several fonts. Otherwise, I didn’t really create anything. Hope you find it useful. Thanks again and, take care!
]]>The functions.php file in Museum Core fully explains how you register and enqueue several Google Fonts and how you add them to the list in Customize –> Typography Options. Upon using a child theme, I would like to be able to add Google Fonts to Customize –> Typography Options without breaking (modifying) the parent’s functions.php file. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!!
]]>I am not a designer. I have a not for profit dedicated to veterans. I want to delete the comments section from the page as it is not a blog. Other themes have a place for this, but I could not find it. Where do i go to delete the comments section from each page? (www.keepingthepromise.us)
]]>ive been looking through the forum on how to remove the comments off tagline at the end of each post on my blog which is https://www.bishopsconservatory.edu.mt.
most replies involved entering css codes….can someone guide me through removing them as i have never entered css and dont know how to go about it…thanks a lot!
]]>Hi Cris, I’ve tried the code you posted above as well as others I have found online. I can’t get anything to work as of yet. My site is https://www.lafirma.com
I did find a code that did move the menu to the center but it changed it from horizontal to vertical when it moved it. Any thoughts?
I also cannot find anything to delete post titles?
]]>Hi thanks for making such a great theme.
I found it after purchasing your tutorial on pluralsight.
I have two questions that I hope you can answer.
The first is I want to have a fixed topnav but centred. When I go to the customize section of admin and choose no to fixed its margins are set to auto but of course it is no longer fixed when i do this. How can I set up the topnav so it is centred the same as the content col-md-12 div’s on the body of the page (which I assume is what happens when you select no in customize?).
Second question, I want to put a title on the left hand of the menu like you have on your museum themes site.
]]>Hi.
For my blog (thenumber-eightytwo.com), I’m looking to get rid of the ‘Posts filed under…’ line which comes up above my posts on the category pages.
Is there a code I can use to delete this, or a similar method?
Many thanks in advance.
Best.
Jamie.
]]>Hi.
Could you tell me if there is a good plugin I can use with this theme which will allow my blog to display on iPad?
At the moment I use WPtouch to make it compatible with mobile, but I can’t seem to locate a free plugin which will do the same for iPad.
Many thanks.
Jamie.
]]>HI Chris
I came here after reading your post on developing bootstrapped themes for WP, which I am doing now. I love what you did with Museum Core.
I thought I should show you this bug on line 938 of your functions file:
while ( $parent_id ) {
$page = get_post($parent_id);
$breadcrumbs[] = '<li><span typeof="v:Breadcrumb"><a rel="v:url" property="v:title" href="' . get_permalink($page->ID) . '">' . get_the_title( $page->ID ) . '</a></span></li>';
}
I had adapted this for a more OOP style, but couldn’t understand the purpose of this part, and it never resolves. Try setting up a page with a parent, then browse to it with breadcrumbs on. It goes while(id) forever.
Hope this helps
Peter
Hi all.
Some help needed please…
On my homepage, I just show post excerpts.
On these excerpts, I have an image, the excerpt, and underneath this, tags, the category and the amount of comments.
Could someone tell me how I can get rid of/replace the three latter features please.
Also, just before these, there’s a pin symbol. Could you also tell me what this is and how I can remove that also.
Layman’s terms are appreciated.
Best.
Jamie.

How do I center the menu on my website?
]]>I am starting to work with Museum Core. Works great except for embedded YouTube videos in windows between 1024 and 1200px. The video overlays the sidebar. I hadn’t noticed until I changed from the 9+3 col standard to an 8+4 layout. It is the same with all videos I tried and in all browsers. I’m sure it is a setting issue. Any thoughts on what I need to change? Thanks.
]]>I have a site running Museum Core, and I just started having the problem that no text editor/ kitchen sink is showing up, I can’t see anything that I type, and I can’t change the box to “html” instead of “text.” I have tried disabling plugins and the “disable the visual editor when writing” box is unchecked. Has anybody had any similar problems? Does anybody have a possible solution?
Thanks
]]>Hi,
I’m looking to add code to the theme’s homepage for my blog, in particular, a Google+ validation code.
Could anyone instruct me how to do this please, and if it’s possible, where I’ll need to navigate to, to action this.
Many thanks,
Jamie.
]]>I’m using the museum-core theme for my blog, and I noticed that when viewing the page on a mobile, or when the browser width gets small, the menu does not expand when clicked. The responsive element works, as the menu changes to the 3 lines, but when I click, it does not expand. The site is using the Main Navigation menu. If I change it to use the Top-Header Navigation, the menu works as expected on a mobile. I’d much prefer to keep the menu where it currently is though. Any ideas on how I can get this to work?
Thanks!
Scott
Hi,
I’m trying to change my settings on my main page from ‘summary’ to ‘full text’ in the Reading page of the Settings.
For some reason, when I change it to full text it’s still only displaying summaries.
The only thing I’ve changed recently is a bit of CSS which is the only thing I can think of that may have affected it. The CSS change is as follows (just a change of tag appearance and hiding the tags under my comment field for posts):
.form-allowed-tags {
display: none;
}
.home .postmetadata {
display: none;
}
Any help is much appreciated.
My blog is: thenumber-eightytwo.com

]]>Hi all,
My film blog is at thenumber-eightytwo.com
A couple of small changes I’d like to make. I’ve no idea how to do them but assume it may be a bit fiddly.
I’ll try and explain this first one as best as I can: On a post page, under the ‘posted in’ copy and the tags, for some reason there is quite a lot of white space underneath before the next feature – the comments field.
Is there anyway of reducing this as I feel it’s quite detrimental to the flow of the page?
Secondly, apart from the individual post pages and one other page, there is just the main page feed. Is there any way of hiding each post’s tags (under the summary) – but onlyon the main page (I want them to show on their respective pages?
Thirdly, on the individual post pages, is there anyway of creating a unique pattern as a backdrop/background for posts? (I have plans for a few minimalistic posts which will possibly feature just images running down the middle so I thought this would look a little tidier and pleasing set against a backdrop of sorts – ither colours or lines.)
Lastly, on my main page, I have opted for excerpts over full posts. Is there anyway of being greedy and having both – the updated first post to be full and all following posts below to be excerpts?
Any help is much appreciated and thank you very much in advance.
P.S. apologies if I haven’t posted this in the correct section or adhered to any other house-rules – I’m relarively new to this.
Best,
Jamie.
