Hi,

Can you please let me know how to increase the size of the posts page where the posts are shown.

This is required as I have a gallery displayed in the posts and since the size of the posts page is small in width I want to increase it.

Note, I will be using the sidebard and hence don’t want to disable it.

Can any one please help me on how to add slideshow to this theme. Slideshow should only consist of images uploaded by admin.

I want to add slideshow just below the menu and in the middle of the page with the same alignment of the footer or the widget showing the latest posts in the home page.

Please help me with the code as I am a novice.

I am getting a missing: updated and missing: author errors in webmaster tools.

I am guessing that the issue can be resolved in the functions.php file. But I don’t know the specific line of code and I don’t want to mess it up.

I have downloaded the WP theme Newschannel and I like the way it features all our blog articles, presented by pictures and the blog article title.
This is supposed to be a membership based blog, and I have MemberPress.

My question is:
How and/or where do I make sure the featured boxes on front page are getting linked to a post page where you can read parts of the article, but have to sign up to read it all … ?
When I click on the front page’s featured boxes now, the blog article comes up in full – but I want it to be just the first part, and then a sign up form.

Hi, I am using the Newschannel theme and have opted for the option of having latest posts on my home page instead of a static page.

The option of having latest posts on my home page allows rows of thumbnails displayed for the viewer to click on, however they each come with a tab with dates. Upon clicking into it, the post also displays the author name (‘posted by so-and-s0)and post dates. How can I hide the post dates from the thumbnails as well as the ‘posted by author’s name’ and post dates from the posts?

I am trying to modify index page of my website which is https://www.insaftv.pk to have a sidebar exactly like page template. I have added the side bar but it is not displaying as per normal page format with side bar separated from the main content area. Can any one help me to fix this please. In Chrome and Mozila the first page looks well, but in Internet explorer don’t show the title and the date of the posts. Just the image.

My site is all set up and I’ve uploaded some images to it. I’ve changed a few things to remove the menu, the search box and to alter the footer.

However, I have reached my technical limit in forcing the posts page to be full width with no sidebar.

Can anyone help?

When I click on a post on the home page, it takes me to the single post. However, the sidebar is showing on the right for Archives and Meta. I have no widgets set up on the theme and I cannot find anywhere to select the default post page format.

My site redirects from https://www.different-perspective.co.uk to https://www.sports-italy.co.uk/photos where it is hosted.

In general settings today I changed the WordPress Address and Site address and got logged out and could not get back in again. I searched on these forums for the answer and found it – I inserted the following into the Into the wp-config.php file as instructed.

My posts now appear on the landing screen but when you click on the it comes up with page not found.

Can someone please help to correct this in plain English as I am not very technical and cannot program code!

I have decided on a new theme its a very simple one but I need some customization. I am looking for someone out there who can answer some questions and show me how to do these changes myself. Either by chat mail message tutorials etc. I am looking at changing simple things in the theme and adding a few simple modss can anyone help? I tried going into the css and direct the image to the head wrap section of the header but was unsuccessful. What am I suppose to do in the php in header.php to recognize my logo image? I keep breaking things when I try.

I just want to upload my own logo. Can someone help please? Thanks

I needed a sidebar for the homepage, so I added a sidebar by copying the twenty twelve theme. The problem is, the sidebar is not responsive and when the browser window is smaller, it messes up the whole page. Is there something I can do, add or fix to correct this problem.

Are there plans to make Newschannel a responsive theme? It’s a great design by really breaks down once the browser is reduced to a smaller size or it’s viewed on a mobile device.

I figured out how to remove the search box in the header, but I can not figure out how to extend the name of my site title into the area where the search box was. It wraps, as if the search box is there. I prevented it from displaying by commenting out <?php get_search_form(); ?> in header.php.

Any ideas for a total newbie? Thank you.

There appears to be room for 12 images/posts per page but only 10 are appearing on my blog. Can I edit this setting in the theme editor? I’ve never done that before and am not even sure where to look.

I know nothing about coding, and was wondering whether there is a way to change the way the links work in the main menu bar? For example, I would like a hover color effect when moving my mouse over the page links in the menu.

I really enjoy using your Newschannel, it’s so closed what I am dreamed about.

It presents pretty well at My Mac & iPhone, but it’s a little weird on iPad2.

The menu will remain in Drop-Down expend state, and I can’t collapse it back.
