Hello, my old theme died when i was forced to upgrade to php 8.1 and i had to do some urgent changes and found NewsToday which looks pretty neat but i need to tweak it a little. Is it possible to add some widgets directly to the main page (not the sidebar) to replace the older posts and the pagination and keep only the featured posts and a couple of widgets under it?

I would like to edit the title of my blog [Girl Talk About Ravens] It is on two lines although I have plenty of space to spread out the title so it could be on one line.

I am not a coder but I wanted to spread out my title so it would be on one line and change the font and size. Is there a way to do this without coding?

I am attempting to use Widget Visibility to hide some right sidebar widgets on my shorter posts. I wanted to use the tag feature. I used the word “short” as the tag. When I go to Visibility, I chose HIDE, (if) TAG (is) but in the dropdown menu there is no word “short” in the list. What am I doing wrong?

Is there a way to adjust my widgets on an individual post without it affecting the entire site? For instance, my right sidebar normally has 8-12 widgets. If I type a short post, there is a big white space under the article since the article is not as long as the page. It makes the page look empty. To even up the page, I would have to delete some of my right sidebar widgets.

When I am on the WP dashboard and go to “visit site”, I do not see any of my sidebar or footer widgets. When I view my published post, my widgets are not there. When I go to “customize” on the theme, I see everything.

Is there a way for me to see what my post and entire page will look like before I publish it?

When I publish my post on WP, I would like the post to also go on my twitter account. There used to be an area where you publish that you could do this. I have changed themes and do no have it.

Can anyone tell me if there is a widget or setting for this?

How do I get rid of the Recent Posts at the bottom of the home page?

Seems like they are displayed twice. Once in the body, then once at the bottom under recent Posts.

Also, is there a recommended size for images?

I am developing a NewsToday Theme on my laptop, so it is not publicly available. I see under the Theme Settings, it says “Display Featured Posts on Homepage”

I selected it and it shows all of my posts on my Home page.

I also see: “Category for Featured Posts”

I created a category called FEATURED and have assigned it for several posts.

If I select this I still get all posts on the Home page.

Seems like it should only display the posts with a category FEATURED on the Home page. What is up with that?

I can do it for the Recent Posts widget easily, but I don’t find the way to do it on the main content area.
