Newstone works fine for my site! Thanks! But the home page is massively wide, all other pages are fine. Ho can I change the wide home page please?

I would like to use a widget Categories and subs:
– Display as dropdown
– Show post counts
– Show hierarchy

but I cannot chose my Categories and put in this list.
Widget display only a few categories:
They are: Appearance -> Menus -> Categories -> Most Used.
Can I use my own Categories there ?
