I just wanted to say thank you for making this available and all the work you put into it. One of the best themes out there and it’s free with no hooks or marketing BS. Unlike many (most) other themes, it looked attractive right out of the box. Still plenty of work to do, of course, to give it my personal flavour; but at least I didn’t feel like I was fighting against the theme to get it done. Kudos to the developer!

I was looking for a clean simple theme and, even though this is very powerful, it has a clean look I wanted for a basic site. You do not have to use all the different features but I really like the animations – the loading screen is a nice touch. I found that for a simple site the plugin is not required. However, even though it is a powerful theme, it still performs well when measured by Google Page Speed Insights – 90% for my site when using Autoptimize.

…to create a blog but needed something that was easy to use without a huge learning curve, yet looked nice and clean. I tried multiple themes, finally giving up in frustration because they didn’t fill the bill for one reason or another. As one with some brain damage from a stroke I’m not able to handle complications, or work out issues that arise on my own so for me, it seemed that every theme I tried was too complicated. I finally gave up on making a blog because I realized I just wasn’t capable. But after 2 weeks I decided to try again and one of the first themes I found was Pen. Within a day I had my blog up. It is wonderfully easy to use without a big learning curve, and is perfect for my needs! I have used Pen now for 10 months without a single issue or glitch, and can’t recommend it highly enough!

Exactly what i was looking for!
A 100% fully customized theme which has everything i need (so far) in the free version.
And trust me, i need A LOT more than an average user!
In the vast majority of themes, those options are only available in the Pro version
Definitely, not many similar themes around.
I would give it easily 6 or 7 stars, if possible!
