I needed to change a slide on the home page slider of sticky posts. So I changed the featured image on one of my sticky posts. But while the image I uploaded is 960×450, and all the other slides are 960×450, this one instead displays a cropped version which is 960×395. Any ideas why this would be? Thanks. (I have changed it back to the original slide for now, because it’s a productions site and can’t be showing the wrong dimension).
Has anyone found a good alternative to the Pinboard theme? I still love the look of this theme, but because Pinboard hasn’t been updated in about 5 years, it’s causing my website to lag like crazy. It takes 20-30 seconds to respond to any changes or moving to another post, etc. Bluehost told me it’s almost certainly due to the theme. I want to find a theme with a similar look, but especially with a slider on the home page that automatically cycles through sticky posts.

Dear All,
I have searched the last two post pages and could not find a suitable topic for my problem. That’s why I’m opening a new one:
I just took over the administration of a page that was created by someone else. The first thing I noticed was the header area (image, menu and social media icons) is not displaying properly. I have searched all settings of the theme, but nowhere can I find a better / more responsive way to display the menu and the social media icons on mobile devices. The biggest problem is that the menu icon is above the image.
Any of you guys got any advice?

I’m building a site on the Pinboard theme (a child theme of…) and I want to change the Site Title color. (or site description? The wording next to the Logo in the header)
I’ve tried to put an entry into the custom CSS section but it has no effect. I’ve also tried to put it in the child CSS file. Also no effect. I included the !important tag which also had no effect.
When I “inspect” it looks like it’s been overridden by another setting.
Anyone know how I’d change it?
Thx

My child is running Pinboard 1.1.4 but I need to update to 1.1.12.
Will updating to Pinboard 1.1.12. affect the appearance/functionality of my child theme?

I am trying to reduce the space/padding/border between rss feeds on my educational site which lists a variety of headlines on the homepage.
The rss feeds are typed as short codes inside a visual editor widget which is placed in the “Boxes” section of the Pinboard theme. Each column is a separate widget.
Can someone provide me the CSS code necessary to drastically reduce the empty space between the headlines? I have tried using the Google Chrome Inspect tool, but have been unsuccessful in my attempts.
The website is: https://www.dailytimez.com
Thank you!
Hi there,
I recently updated the pinboard theme (after ~1 year). Everything is alright except that one of my widgets is gone. I’ve been trying for hours to add a widget called revolution slider to the wide sidebar, but it seems that only 3 of the sidebars work: the header, footer and footer wide. These 3 are also the only options which show up when I try to add widgets through the customizer. I see all 10 of the sidebars at the widget tab, and it is possible to add widgets to them. But that will result in nothing.
Is this a bug? Or a fault on my part?
Thanks in advance
I am a rookie when working with web pages and blogging. I like the look of pinboard. The one item that I can’t see how to do automatically is what some themes call “featured content”. What I really want is one row of images between my main slider and my posts on my home page. One image might be a map widget or link, one would go to a different page or category etc. I don’t see how to enable this between the feature slider and my posts.
Is this easily (important) possible with pinboard?
Thank-you…….Jackie
Hello!
I create website with that nice theme and added to childthemes single.php file following lines to be able to display feature image in single post view as well.
<?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() ):?>

<?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>

<?php endif; ?>
Instead of thumbnail it displays huge image, it is way bigger then original image, so it becomes all blurry. Thumbnail size is set to 200px. What to do to display instead of big image the thumbnail?
Second question – how could I display post excerpt on portfolio page below the title? Currently it displays there only feature image + post title.
Hello,
I would like to completely remove the hamburger button (that only appears on the mobile version of my website) running on Pinboard (ver. 1.1.12).
I will then replace that default pinboard hamburger button with an easier to modify menu button via a plugin.
Is there a simple way to remove the pinboard mobile hamburger button?
Thank You!
Have been using the great Pinboard theme for a couple of clients for a number of years but have recently encountered an issue. When blog articles are displayed on a category archive page they all overlap one on top of the other, rather than follow the grid. All the articles appear at point one and nowhere else. For an example please look here: Page
I am at a loss as to why this is happening but if you could please advise me that would be fantastic! Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Is there a possibility to add a comment count of the post related comments next to the shown meta information of the post like the author, publishing date and category?

I am using the Pinboard Theme and would like to hide the menu navigation bar on one page to use it as a landing page. The prior answers in the forum are not working on this theme, and may be outdated (2+ years). I have separate area under theme options to add in CSS if it is possible to accomplish. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Hi all,
I am trying to get my posts to all appear in chronological order with all of them showing – so that you can scroll down the page.
At the moment it shows just two older posts and pull down menu does not work – no one can get the posts. This appears to be a default condition that must have been inherited when I changed from the last theme. I don’t see where to correct it.
Any help much appreciated. Bruce.
Hi! I am quite new with WordPress but I absolutely LOVE the Pinboard theme,
I have the following issues.
1. The header text is way too large and is not centered. How can this be done?
2. Can I have a “Read More” button on each slider image?
3. How about modifying the transition effect and duration?
Thank you.

I would like to show only 10 posts on my main page as opposed to all my posts showing up as you scroll down as the number of posts I have has grown too much.
I would like to have the rest of the posts in page 2, 3, 4, etc or in other words have 10 posts per page with the viewer being able to select the next page at the end of the page after 10 posts.
Is this possible?
Hi
Just yesterday, after the last jetpack update – all of my posts have gaps between them – they seem arbitrary, without any logic.
Site: bcr8tive.com
I tried everything I can think of – removed my child version with CSS edits, deactivated every plugin (and they’re minimal and 99% have nothing to do with display)
I love this theme, it’s so flexible but can’t find the problem and could really use your help. I hope you’re around!

Hi there,
I am having a few issues changing things on my blog and would really appreciate some advice please!
Thehappykamper.com
1. Header image used to align centrally but no longer does – I’ve tried uploading different sizes but it doesn’t make much of a difference. How do I adjust it so that the header image sits centrally?
2. I’d like to get the search icon on the header image to line up with the twitter and facebook buttons lower down on the header image. Ideally I’d also like to add an instagram icon. How do I do this? The position of the search icon is an issue on both mobile and desktop.
3. On the homepage, I’d like to remove the box under each post that says ‘The happy kamper / date / post category e.g. travel / permalink’
4. At the bottom of an individual post, there are numerous sets of sharing buttons! I’d like to keep the first set of 6 icons but remove the subsequent “like this” and additional facebook/twitter buttons.
If you need any info, please let me know. Thanks so much! ??

I have been trying to troubleshoot event calendar with pingboard theme. The events for a day extend outside the day container.
example:
https://www.marseillesrecboard.org/iasc/events/
When visiting that page dev tools throws the aforementioned error. I am not sure if that is what causes the test to move outside the cell or not. This is the only error I see, and it does seem to be related.
code area:
var $content = $(‘.entries’);
$content.imagesLoaded(function() {
$content.masonry({
itemSelector : ‘.hentry, #infscr-loading’,
columnWidth : container.querySelector(‘.twocol’),
});
});
Is it saying .twocol is not defined?
Maybe something in the pinboard teaser class and how event calendar is using it? I am unsure
<?php if( ! is_singular() || is_page_template( ‘template-blog.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-blog-full-width.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-blog-four-col.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-blog-left-sidebar.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-blog-no-sidebars.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-blog-no-sidebars.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-portfolio.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-portfolio-right-sidebar.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-portfolio-four-col.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-portfolio-left-sidebar.php’ ) || is_page_template( ‘template-portfolio-no-sidebars.php’ ) ) : ?>
var $content = $(‘.entries’);
$content.imagesLoaded(function() {
$content.masonry({
itemSelector : ‘.hentry, #infscr-loading’,
columnWidth : container.querySelector(‘.<?php echo pinboard_teaser_class(); ?>’),
});
Any assistance would be appreciated, even if it is a link on a topic to research
